Tally: 42 Bold are the notable ones or ones I've enjoyed most. Also, though I don't know I can say I've read more than the past decade (particularly because before I used to read a lot of articles for research purposes), but I've read a lot more this year than previous years. "We are getting our children through education by anaesthetising them. I think we should be doing the exact opposite. We shouldn't be putting them to sleep. We should be waking them up to what they have inside themselves."

People aren't inherently good or inherently evil, they're inherently lazy. "Bad" is the path of least resistance; it is easier to take someone else's than make your own, easier to destroy than to create. This, however, does not make one or the other the natural tendency of the human animal. Some people are psychopaths, but not all people as a rule of thumb. Some people are saints, but not all people as a rule of thumb. Most people are decent enough in their own unobtrusive ...
This is just to help me keep track of things. They are listed in no particular order or relevance. The more stars the more heavily recommended. Just because it does not have a star does not mean it is good, and most of these movies won't. But one star means I recommend it above the others, or it stood out or otherwise made an impression on me. Any star beyond one is just for emphasis. I am now ranking these movies, and it is a gradual process so am leaving myself a ...

A list of current RP stuff I'm in. I won't be taking on any more threads, and am going to try to work my way back down to 5. 5 is usually a hard limit for me, but sometimes circumstances call for something extra. There's a ton of minutiae, as well, that just comes in altogether and gives some of the most powerful yet subtle hints of characterization and background that come together very well. And the introduction to the tension I adore as well, one man refuses to give in to the group in order to stand for what he thinks is right.

Architects need not be thought of as only interested in drawing blueprints for buildings or roads or bridges. They are the master designers of all kinds of theoretical systems, including school curricula, corporate strategies, and new technologies. For Architects, the world exists primarily to be analyzed, understood, explained - and re-designed. External reality in itself is unimportant, little more than raw material to be organized into structural models. What is important for Architects is that ...

As I mention on the blog itself, I did not write the post but think that it's message should be shared. http://www.valucre.org/2011/02/thank...oglodytes.html
I expound on this topic on the Valucre blog. http://www.valucre.org/2011/02/what-is-valucre.html
This is for my own personal use. I pretty much thought the video was genius. Informative but hilarious, so it's not like dry cereal going down your throat.
