I find myself thinking about my Mother [obviously] today. My Grandmother as well, and so on and so forth from what I know of my Maternal lineage. It's surprising to me sometimes how different each generation can be but also how alike some others are. Three generations of women in my family and we couldn't be more dissimilar. I wonder if this is because we have lived through the mistakes of our parents and thus circumvented their problems well in advance, when and if they cropped up ...

So, what's the point of a Union that is there in name only?

After all the trouble you go through of putting in your time, money, and fealty into a supposed representation of the 'working people' only to be told later that you have no say when it comes down to it? Seriously?
