Dear Writer,
Let me start by saying thank you for joining my family. I am the mother, the guardian, and the home itself.
I am Valucre.
There have been many places like me in the past, but none of them have been able to do what I have done in such a short time. Let me explain.
Since my creation as a humble online play by post roleplay forum, I have been ever growing. I started with a few members hand selected from similar websites. . . places that were no longer able to give them what they needed. But they weren’t chosen to simply fill my boards. They were chosen because they were like you.
Yes, like you . . .
They had—and still have—a keen sense of imagination. A desire to write and form their thoughts into words. They had the same spark that led you to me in hopes of finding a place to create and inspire. And like you, they were willing to learn, grow, and share their talents with like-minded individuals.
Now, though . . . Now I am much different. I, too, have grown. Where once I was a humble roleplaying website, I am now a safe haven for writers. Under my wing, roleplayer means writer, and there is no distinction between them. I have since smashed the convention of the common roleplayer and stripped the boundaries of imagination so that all my members can grow and nurture their talents the way they intended.
But . . . Because of this revelation, I have two conditions if you want to write here:
- You must enjoy writing
- You must have a burning desire to express and better yourself through your writing
That’s it.
The rest is in your hands. I give you personal license to peruse my lands, unfettered. Arrive at the steps of the Gaian Academy while in Terrenus. Explore the rich culture of the Arcantians in Genesaris. Stand in awe of the flying lands of Renovatio amidst the territory of Tellus Mater. Experience the threatening grip of the evil deity Xaroc as heroes fight to thwart his chaotic grip on Iselyr. Do all of it, and more.
I may be the board on which you play, but you are the characters that bring me to life. I only exist insofar as I am fed and nurtured by the talent and aspirations of budding and experienced writers alike. There is never a shortage of plot, character or beautiful storytelling on my boards and it is because of the talent that resides here. What these writers like to see best is new faces coming into the fold to mix things up and lend to their stories. All that matters is that you are willing to put your pen to paper for my story.
So take arms with your keyboard and delve into the world of fantasy and adventure that awaits you on the other side. On my forums you will find all you need to quell your literary passions.
