• Wastelands

The vast and barren Wasteland was, at a time, an area covered completely by the Shawnee glacier. For quite some time now, the glacier has been receding and it is commonly accepted that its recession is symbolic of the death of magic. The earth is hurt and losing life; the glacier's expanse reflects this. This sordid state has not reached such a critical point that magic has become accessible to the people and the truth death of magic might not occur for a hundred, even a thousand or a hundred thousand, years but the message is clear enough. For Gaians, the earth is pushed towards a state of entropy due to conflicts between Her children, most notably war, and by the very presence of Unnaturals.

The Wastelands are also home to one of the most dangerous predators that Terrenus has to offer. The Suujali. Their very existence only further reinforces the idea of magic's gradual death, they themselves covered with a hide immune to magic and appearing only in the later, and more turbulent years, of the Wasteland's existence. Because of them, the Wastelands have been marked as off-limits to any civilians.
