Administrators are not here to babysit you, though we are open to listen to any legitimate concern or idea on how to make the forum better. Understand that you will be heard, but your idea may not be implemented. Come to expect and accept this. Representatives, ie people that speak for a group of people, are not recommended. Because if one guy is telling us that 7 people don't like a certain decision, which may not even matter to the admins to begin with, but we're seeing no waves on the forum, we will not be swayed.
In regards to skipping other people. It's alright to skip others, and you shouldn't get offended if you're skipped in turn. It's not that big of a deal. Two people can rapid fire in a multi person thread as long as they don't auto others or skip time without consent.
Quality. At least try. We can tell. We aren't elitists by any measure but expect people to actually put in time and effort and work into their writing. Everyone else is and I think it's disrespectful to do otherwise. If you have nothing to say, rather than ruining the flow of the roleplay for everyone else involved, just skip the turn and come back around when you can get more involved.
We allow just about any kind of roleplay. I've seen characters that are basically Marvel or DC spinoffs and I've seen constant tributes and homages to video game and movie characters. As long as it gets roleplay and is played intelligently, we allow it.
If you want your own subboard, you need at least five people (including creator) to satisfy creation needs. We do not create continents, countries or nations any more. Kingdoms and noble bloodlines and lost or hidden villages or whatever is fine. So is intelligent use of landscape, such as underwater cities and subterranean societies. Floating castles, cloud kingdoms, native tribes and etc.
We accept custom-made individual and shared races as long as they aren't overpowered. Feel free to take liberties, after all we're weaving a fantasy, but if you're being stupid, you'll be politely told to stop doing that shit.
Character sheets are not required for role play but are essential for participation in any tournaments or in any ranked fights.
We are "open source", allowing anything that intelligently interacts with everything. This is a collaborative roleplay environment, not a dick-waving contest. With the very clear exception of tournaments, storyline will always trump silly fight mechanics. If you can't handle that, it will be enforced.
Member: I see. Makes sense. If I were to ask you to NPC in a thread for me, would you say you have time, or that you're slightly too busy with other things? Since I need someone to NPC in a thread for me.
Carlos: i am too busy, but you can seek out a storyteller for that
Me: Oh so that's what they're for. Goody.
Me: I should get lookin' then.
Yes. This is what story-tellers, the people with said title under their user name, are for. Although some may join a thread for a while, the maximum they are required to interact in a thread is 10 posts.
