Town:
Tia
Ruler: The Lord-Mayor, Viscount Jean deCorbin, Imperial Adviser
Current Events: Trouble is brewing in the streets. Crime is up, business is falling, and racial tensions are on the rise. A few weeks ago, operating on a tip, a squadron from the Watch raided an apartment complex in the Warrens, and found a family of gnomes strung up, dead or nearly so, inside a series of rooms owned by a gang of goblins. Shortly after-wards, a goblin zeppelin blew up in the skies just north of town, and, while there was no evidence to prove so, everyone blamed a group of aggressive gnomes.
Type: Factory. Very advanced construction and materials, and full of tall buildings.
Population: Overwhelmingly diverse. While there are more humans than any other race, there still is a huge non-human population, ranging from elven and dwarven to goblins and minotaurs and lizardfolk and even more monstrous types.
Approximately 1.3 million individuals live in the metropolitan area of Tia, with an additional 3-4 hundred thousand others living near the city.

Tia has been a city for almost six hundred years, and for nearly four centuries has been a safe haven for monsters and other unwanteds. There is a strong Gaianist community, as well as a very strong Imperial presence. Modern nights have seen a strong rise in intellectualism, commerce, and growth.
An oddity that exists in Tia is the presence of a Vampiric community. By the tenets of Gaianism, Vampires should be destroyed as abominations, but the ones in Tia are unique. The master of the city as well as the vampires is Jean deCorbin, and he is a Gaianist to the core. His childer are carefully selected, and are also very strongly religious. Because of this oddity, as well as the strength of the city and it's leading citizens, they are allowed to survive.
Located centrally as Tia is, it only makes sense that the city is a leader in commerce. All (easy) travel from Ashville to Casper stop in Tia. This constant business is what makes Tia the third largest city in Terrenus, right behind the two previously mentioned. Well, that and the factories, the military, the openness of culture, the technology, and the knowledge to be had here.

- 92,000 members of The Watch, a combination militia/police force. They are comprised of a well varied group of races, ages, and sex. Training is harsh, and weeds out mental weaknesses, making the Watch nearly incorruptible. All members of the Watch are residents of Tia.
- 4,000 Guardians, members of the military that come from all over Terrenus. Often they are trained in the advanced weaponry of Tia, and take their learning with them when their posts are changed. Humans make up the majority of this group, and members who have any problems working alongside any of the monstrous races of Tia are re-assigned quickly.
- PeaceKeeper: Lisa Woodrow. Formerly of Ashville, Lisa is a very talented warrior who has already died once in the name of Gaia and Terrenus.
- Riverside Park. One of, if not the first, government owned and maintained parks. The glorious stands of trees and beautifully crafted out buildings stand out in the otherwise close and dank feeling that the rest of the city exudes.
- The Watch Fort. A huge, reinforced monster of a building, the Watch Fort holds the barracks, training grounds, armories, and personal forges of the militia and police force of Tia. The one outstanding feature is the clock tower, that rises far above the rest of the city and rings loudly every hour.
- The Traveler's Gate. The largest and most popular of inns and taverns for those non-natives in Tia. Rising five floors and filling nearly an acre of ground space, with a courtyard filled with activity at all hours of the day.
- Gulthias Academy of Sciences and Magicks, and the People's Library. The numerous buildings that comprise the campus of are built in a neo-classical style, and house dozens of classrooms and hundreds if not thousands of students. The People's Library is a public library that is located both on and adjacent to the Academy, and allows for the viewing of any book in it's catalogs.
Play Style:
Tia is inspired by both Steampunk and Art Noir. Dark, gritty stories in a fantastically advanced setting, constant fog or rain marring the coppery gleam. Nighttime stories are common, if not a must.
Canon • The Nightclub La Belle Peches was destroyed. A free lance terrorist tossed a backpack full of explosives through the front door. The explosion was strong enough to cause a secondary explosion in the magical stills in the basement. The secondary blast leveled the first floor, destroyed the basement, and brought the second floor collapsing down on everyone inside. There were an unknown number of occupants. The rumble of the explosion was strong enough to be felt a mile or so away.
