    Name
    Lunar Spiritfly
    Type
    Insect
    Size
    Diminutive (6 inches - 1 foot / 1/8-1 lbs)
    Entry
Approximately six to eight inches in size, with a wingspan double that, the Lunar Spiritfly can only be found deep within the heart of Dark Woods. An evolved cousin of an ancient species of dragonfly, this insect now has the ability to absorb the lunar light that sometimes penetrates the forests and convert the light into microscopic crystals (or dust) that it stores on the tips of its feather-like wings. Crystals from the Lunar Spiritfly can be harvested, if one can be captured, and stored in a glass bauble. The harvested crystals will continue to cast its eerie light for several hours after harvesting. It is said that the light from a moonbow can re-charge the crystals once, if gathered properly. The most common colors of the Lunar Spiritfly includes a variety of muted shades of soft cream. An extremely rare variety is the blue Lunar Spiritfly.
