Luparn; tribal.

Life span: 78 to 109 years on average
Average height: 6' to 8' 1/2 ft (human form) 8' to 11' 1/2 ft (man-beast)
Average weight: 165lbs to 296lbs (human) 276lbs to 446lbs (man-beast)
They are what most would call Werewolves, or Lycanthropes. They can pass completely as human to normal humans due to the fact that they look completely human unless they partially shift or have spent to much time in either of their other form and find that they cannot shift completely back to their human form. They must shift at least once a Lunar cycle. The first night of the full moon forces the change to all strong or weak.
Centuries ago a stone was found that allowed Luparn stay in either of their other forms for as long as they wish without the repercussions of not being able to completely shift back to their human form. The stone was given the name Ever stone that it keeps the holder in whatever state they are in. Through age, shape change or what have you.
In their human form they are stronger, faster, and have far superior senses to normal human beings. They also have two other forms other than their human state. Their man-beast which shifts them into their beast but keeps them bipedal and humanoid. In this form they are stronger and their senses and reflexes are enhanced far above their human form. Then they have their beast form where they shift into a pony sized wolf
They can appear as normal humans except to those who can sense metaphysical energies. (magic, magical energy or the energy given off a werewolf when they shift) They give off this energy or power with high emotion or the closer it gets to the first night of the full moon. The more adept the Luparn the harder it is for them to be sensed by other races. Just as they hide what they are the more adept they are the easier it is for them to partially shift their bodies. (their hands into claws, or to even change their facial features) Along with controlling their blood lust.
They have yet to figure out just how the color of their fur is determined because it is not always the color of their hair in human form.
Luparn are not able to get diseases of any kind due their Lycanthopy. Many think that being a werewolf is a disease and it counter acts any and all diseases. They have high healing abilities and if strong enough can heal from almost anything given that they shift into their beast forms. However they heal human slow to wounds made by a weapon made with silver or by fire. Decapitation is a sure way to make sure that they do not find a way to heal themselves. The wolfsbane plant does give off a smell that werewolves dislike intensely but has no real effect upon them other than repelling them by its stench
Magical capabilities.
Like human beings the Luparn are capable of all kinds of magics. The energy or power from their beast does seem to allow them a better grasp the magics(tho there has yet to any conclusive results in the question of does the beasts power make the mages power stronger. In some cases yes and others no). But find more magically oriented in few of the tribal clans. The tribal magics of the Luparn are normally more along the lines of primal magic. Close to nature, to the world. Tho they do have magic capabilities they normally learn through mage guilds or other schools for the teachings of magic.
Pack system
For each individual their rank is decided by their fighting prowess. You fight one ranked above you can if you win you grow in rank. There are only three ranks alpha, beta, and omega (high, middle, and low) Alpha rules the packs, and normally the beta enforce the laws. Omega are basically a civilian. In certain packs there are councils where the King and Queen have top vote but other alpha or beta class wolves make up the council that helps make laws and make ruling decisions for the pack.
Most packs are highly secretive and keep to the ways of the past and keep business and pack law within the Luparn. Along with the fact that in some places they are still hunted down like beasts. But even given humans hostility there are a few packs who have made villages, towns, and one has even made a city out of its pack and his completely open to the world and goes by the laws of the governing power. Tho there are a few pack that are more primal called Tribal clans. They live just as a true wolf pack would with little to no human influence
