*In case you still didn't know, Valucre has a fan page. If you like us, like it: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Valucre/158127140888344

The change that is most obvious to any present member is that the forum layout has been slightly modified. Namely that there is now a Roleplay Related category to go in conjunction with the OOC category.

Be sure to click the links. Events are summarized in the newsletter, and the accompanying links contain more comprehensive information.

Code of Conduct – Revised: The Code of Conduct has been revised to better reflect our attitude and outlook on Valucre and what is expected of our members and what members can expect of staff.

Watchers: A new division added to Valucre staff. You can find out who the Watchers are by going to the forum and clicking View Site Leaders and going to the Watchers category. In short, each Watcher is assigned to a specific area of Valucre and they read roleplay threads that pop up there. They then update it by way of short summary in Roleplay News, talked about below.

Note that these summaries might have errors, which a user can request to correct so long as they provide the correction, and meant to act merely as bait to lead one to reading the thread. Do not take IC actions based solely on Watcher summaries.

Roleplay News: Where the Watchers will be updating articles. Come here to get a taste of what's going on around the site.

Water Cooler: Consider the Water Cooler to be a sort of Wanted Ads forum. Members can come here to promote their roleplays and ideas, to get interest checks for ideas or quests that they want to launch, or to look for specific characters. For instance a player might be looking for someone to play his sister, or a blacksmith searching for a disciple, or a gang looking for new recruits. For another instance, if I want to run a steampunk roleplay in or out of Valucre canon, this is the best place to post.

This forum is OPEN to public use.

Synopsis: The second chapter of Isélyr's Soul Song.

A group of unlikely heroes have managed to come together to form the prophesied 'One' that was predestined to awaken the fated 'key' who, for many eons, remained in a deep slumber, protected within her emerald chrysalis. Now, she and her fated companions must learn to trust one another as they embark on their quest to free the imprisoned Seven, defeat Xaroc and his Demonic Generals, and return to Isélyr her Soul Song.

Skyler, code name Thoughtless Poet, is what one can consider a model member. It's not that he posts every day or with unfailing consistency, but that he posts when he can and informs those involved in his thread or storylines when he can't. On top of that, he's very enthusiastic about his roleplay projects on the board, the main one of which is Atland, and quite industrious when it comes to its growth. He's poured a lot of blood, sweat and tears into his board and it's paying off. Atland, and consequently his group Shift, are growing steadily.

That's all from an IC standpoint. From an OOC standpoint Skyler is responsible for the thread Ideas for Valucre: http://www.valucre.com/showthread.ph...as-for-Valucre

Though some have been done and some are in progress, which he couldn't have known, this thread shows that Skyler puts in a measurable amount of time and effort into thinking about how the site could be made better for all of those involved.

      He has my vote.
