• Valucre Incentive Program

It is important to note that despite this is an official program, all of this can be accomplished at any time without direct involvement by administration. If I get known to be a pretty good Game-Master (hereafter referred to as a GM) around the site, people can come to me to request my services. Despite this, the idea doesn't seem to get used as much as it should, a great deal of this inaction due to shyness and uncertainty.

The program is simple. We will pay people in ValBullion to act the role of GM for specific quest-threads hosted by regions like Terrenus, Genesaris, Rosinder and so on. This is not simply paying people to roleplay but to roleplay to accomplish something in-character, and more specifically for the Game-Master to be strict, fair, and neutral.

Players will be rewarded partly in VB, but mostly through IC spoils. GM's will be paid completely in VB. The better, more involved, more interesting and engaging the story, the more your recompense.

    I'll give an example.

Five people get together and decide they want to help solve one of the quests in Terrenus (you can find quests for every town in Terrenus in the Quest tab). Now while a GM is NOT AT ALL necessary for this situation (one can just go solve the quest, roleplayed with genuine intent and meaningful effort, tack a summary at the end of it and submit it for canonization), let's just assume that these five people WANT a GM.

Perfectly fine. So let me tell you what the opt-in choices are.

Change the WorldOne good way to earn a nice chunk of VB is to take up regional quests in the Valucre Canon. This gives you not only VB, but IC spoils such as weapons and treasure, IC fame and influence, and allows you to impact directly and heavily the canon of the region in question.

I wrote this process up for my own quests, but it is currently acting as the standard unless the board-leader specifies otherwise.

The rumors that can be found in the informational article for each city have been collected her for the sake of convenience. Each rumor corresponds directly to a quest. This is all your character would know until they actually engage in the quest, upon which further details can be given. As these rumors/quests are all town specific, this is the easiest way by which one can involve oneself in the canon and gain mention in the Lore articles.

Rumors are separated into 3 levels, difficulty and VB reward rising accordingly. Level 1 and Level 2 quests can be Game-Master'd by anyone, and if you wish to GM a quest for a group of other individuals under our incentive program, merely message me and we can work out the details.

Level 3's will be handled exclusively by me or a personally appointed proxy.

You do not need my personal involvement to do these quests, with the noted exception and aside from informing me so I can provide you with details (if there are any to give, which isn't always). These quests are designed to give you, the player(s), creative freedom. You use the rumor as a seed and let a story for you and your partners bloom in your mind.

One recommendation is making a Water Cooler post to gather both players for your team and cast a net out for anyone that might want to GM. An alternative to finding a GM is simply filling out the Storyteller Request form.

Level 1 quests can be completed by a 1-2 people.
    Level 2 quests require 2-5.
Level 3 quests require more than one person but have no upward limit of people.

Each quest level necessitates that page number in the roleplay. Level 1 quests require one page (15 posts). Level 2 requires two pages, and so on. As each level denotes a higher level of impact on the setting, it requires more involved play.

If the quest affects canon, the GM will have two include the two paragraph summary recounting the thread's events, and filling out the form in Forms & Quests in the Lore tab.

    Incentive program: http://www.valucre.com/content.php/4...entive-Program

    Level 1 = 100-300 per.
    Level 2 = 600-900 per.
    Level 3 = 1k+ per.

Nominate a GMPeople can band together and nominate a single person to be the GM of the story. At the end of the thread, tack on a summary of what happened over the course of the thread, spoils received and who received them, and submit the thread for canonicity. This is all funded by the players.

What you are being paid for is the paperwork, the summary paragraphs and canonicity submission at the end (if necessary) and to come up with the plot, the obstacles, and let the players come up with the resolutions. You need not post "in order" or even that much, but be mindful of the thread. Move things along when needed, but don't rush good development.

Nette's ideas Enigmatic surrender has offered a few of her own ideas for the people to pick and choose. Administration is open to additional ideas, if you have any that you'd like to submit, but note that you will not be paid. Both GM and players will get paid, the GM more than the players as the players will gain in-character spoils. Seeing a thread through to the end guarantees the highest pay out. GM's will get paid for incomplete threads partially; players not at all.

I had Nette tag her posts with VCP (Valucre Canon Possible) for any plots that can apply to the canon.

Give an IdeaMembers are welcome to submit ideas for quests, to be played and GM'd by others, if you feel creative but lazy, but know that you won't go paid for it. Only the players and GM will. You can have this as just a kernel, what could be no more than a sentence or two to get the creative juices flowing, or you could provide the GM/Players with maps, NPC roles, and the treasure at the end. The more involved you are the more likely you are to be directly rewarded for your efforts.

Watch a BuddySo here's the basic incentive program addition. You write an article for a thread. You place it in the appropriate location in Roleplay News. So if you're writing an article on a thread in Terrenus, place it in the Terrenus thread in Roleplay News.

We feel that this will help strengthen community by spreading awareness of roleplays and storylines to be found throughout the site, and will also foster inter-personal communication since article writers must seek consent.

For each article you get 10 VB.

    Criteria:
    1. No repeating articles.
    2. Must get majority consent from the thread players. Write the article, PM it to the users to get their input on accuracy, and then post it. If there are 5 players, no less than 3 should agree.
    3. We will not be checking out the veracity of your claims, but it is recommended that you do not lie for a cheap hit of VB. If someone points out that you are claiming their consent where they gave none, the matter will be investigated thoroughly.

To submit your thread to canonization fill out the Canonicity form.
