    The Faith of Isélyr

Most of the races inhabiting Isélyr possess a form of faith which they personify through some sort of God or Deity. Some believe their God is an actual living, breathing being while others simply view symbols as a personification of their morals, values, and beliefs. Though very rare, there are mortals who have achieved a god-like status and, as such, are worshiped and glorified by their followers.

The Order of the New Dawn
Followers of the Order of the New Dawn worship all Seven of the Deities imprisoned by Xaroc, and as such, training to incorporate all seven of the virtues within themselves is a constant, active practice.
Members usually include half-elves, humans, dwarves, and some felynes.
    Known Organizations:
    The Golden Order
    Soldiers of Dawn

    Shamanism
Shamans do not worship any singular deity, but instead, they worship the spirits of their own ancestors and the elementals of Earth, Air, Fire, and Water, harnessing these powers through the various wood or bone carvings they create.
Members usually include: Orcs, Lizardfolk, some humans, Apemen, Dwarves, and Goblins.

    Eilaria
One of the Seven Deities to be imprisoned by Xaroc, Eilaria is the embodiment of Kindness. She is worshiped as a goddess triad; the Maiden, the Mother and the Crone. Associated with wild animals (especially the golden bear), the woodlands, and the moon.
Members are usually elves, felynes and some humans.
    Known Organizations:
    The Pentacle of Eilaria

    Druidism
Druids lead an extremely spiritual life, honoring the plants, animals and spirits of the woods as individual lives and by honoring the Goddess Eilaria. Instead of harnessing powers through carvings like the Shamans, Druids borrow their powers from the living spirits which they worship. Compelled to protect the living spirits surrounding them, the Druids highest priority is to heal the corruption that Xaroc and his Demonkind have brought down on their forests. The bonds the Druids share with their natural surroundings allow them to assume the forms of the animals that they worship.

    Phaeleros
Users of Necromancy (Death Magic) and their acolytes, the Shadow users.
Members are usually undead beings and their living followers.
    Known Organizations:
    The Sect of Phaelero

    Demonology
There are those who worship Xaroc and his Generals , using the demonic energies found within their blood to harness power needed to perform their magic rituals and spells or to summon lesser Demons and Demonkind. With each spell cast, a minute portion of the user's life-energy is drained until, eventually, they are nothing more than a Shadow. Once this occurs, the user joins the ranks of Xaroc's undead army, the Phaeleros, as their acolytes.

    Avantes
Very little is known about these Ancient Gods. Several creation myths of how the world was created circulate Isélyr, however the role of the Avantes remains the same. The parents of the Eight Deities, the Avantes are responsible for the creation of Isélyr itself and the inhabitants that existed before the Soul Song and mankind were woven into existence by the Seven.
