    Races of Isélyr

Humans : Proud and strong, Humans are known for their resourcefulness and bravery. They are strong with a variety of weapons, and are potent on any battlefield. Unfortunately, their mortal vices can lead them astray, or into trouble. Most humans hail from the lands of Le'Chery, descendants of the once-powerful kingdom of Gorand.

Elves : Noble and aristocratic, Elves are the children of the forest, something reflected in their centuries worth of history. Nimble and silent, they are fast and keen with a bow or dagger. Their long life-spans promote high degrees of intelligence and integrity, but this also causes them to be more prude and snobby to other races whom they feel are inferior or less civilized. Though dangerous in battle, most elves will rather argue why you're wrong than physically prove it.

Orcs : Brutish, but moderately intelligent. Live for the battle, and their code of honor. Respectable in battle, but off-setting and contemptible in public. They are typically on the wrong side of the law, as they live by only their personal beliefs. While some do rely on diplomacy and politics to achieve their ends, most take what they want at the end of a blade.

Goblins : The swindlers of Isélyr, Goblins are merchant-folk who rely on gimmicks and deception to make a profit. Masters of the 'get rich quick' system, they prefer to ally themselves with Orcs, who act as muscle for their operations. Very cunning and intelligent, what they lack in strength they make up for in wit. While neutral to Elves, they are typically corrupt, as it better suits their business transactions.

Lizardfolk : Nomadic in nature, Lizardfolk are often unaligned with any particular side, preferring to keep to themselves. As such, not much is known about these warriors, aside from their scorpion-like steeds. As most Lizardfolk dwell in more arid and barren climates, their civilizations are more primitive and technologically basic. But it is said that ten Lizardfolk in their natural environment are more dangerous than an army of hundreds.

Felynes : Inquisitive by nature, Felynes are a feral people that can survive in almost any kind of condition. As such, they are a rather diverse culture when compared to other races of Isélyr. While most are quite social, the males of their species can be incredibly agressive and hostile, a mannerism befitting the lion-like look that Felyne men have. Able to use their claws as skillfully as any blade, they are the passionate hunters of the lands.

Apemen : Solitary and docile, Apemen live in the wooded landscapes of Isélyr. Sacrificing modern convenience for work-ethic, they are one of the most self-sufficient and creative people of the world. Most of their tools are rarely ever seen, though, as their societies are quite secretive and private. To earn an Apeman's trust is said to be 'harder than taking a gold coin from a Goblin'. Their society is driven by honor and loyalty to their families. Incredibly strong, they can level trees with single blows, and as such, do not strive for elegance in combat. When you can rip an Orc in half with your bare hands, it really isn't necessary.

Dwarves : Residing in the age-old tunnel systems found in Iselyr's mountains, Dwarves are considered the backbone to most of modern society. Responsible for mining the valuable resources that allow technology to thrive, their small sizes belittle the large respect that most of the community has for them. Always eager to get a job done right, they will take their hammers and pickaxes and dig until they hit rock bottom, then dig some more to see what's underneath and whether it's useful. Their strength is great, but their determination is even greater.
