• Amphitheatrum

    Under Construction

An elliptical free standing structure, approximately 330 yards long and 160 yards wide, built in the southwest portion of Athirat Desert, near the Soothsigh River and constructed of wood, brick, and concrete. Artificially created landscapes surround the Amphitheatrum, providing lush scenery that includes several groves of fruit trees, vineyards, and the like. A series of underground tunnels and caves, complete with trapdoors that lead into the arena, provide holding cells for slaves and, often times, the animals used in Gladiatorial games. The fighting grounds of the arena is covered with a thick layer of the white sands of the desert which absorbs the massive amounts of blood that is shed daily. The Slave Compound, which provides housing for the slaves, skirts the Amphitheatrum, as well as several separate training grounds and gladiatorial schools. The Auction House allows for the selling and purchasing of slaves.

Three stories tall, the Amphitheatrum is capable of sitting nearly forty thousand spectators. At the head of the Amphitheatrum, a special room is provided for nobility, seating one hundred of Isélyr's finest. The ivory walls of the room boast frescoes of infamous Isélyrian wars while several heavenly constellations are depicted on the bejeweled, stuccoed ceilings.
