History
Centuries ago, Elyria rose from Lake Valor at the center of Rosinder. It was the first gift God gave to the people of Rosinder and it has been their capital ever since. Until recently, it was the seat of the King and his advisors, the Council. However, when the sky nation of Renovation invaded, the Council poisoned the most recent King, Frederick Rosinder, and surrendered the city for personal gain.
Eventually, Renovatio was forced to withdraw its occupying forces due to victories by the Resistance in nearby regions. Occupation had become unprofitable. Instead of returning Elyria to its proper ruler, the Council took over the city. Specifically, three Councilmen blamed the others for Frederick's death, used them as scapegoats and publicly executed them. They are now referred to as the Ternion and rule Elyria themselves, refusing to accept Collin's royal lineage.
The Ternion has a truce and a trade agreement with the Renovation. Notably, they were the only three Councilmen who attended the Academy.
