Son and daughter of the God Oromis, Argyros and Arjana were found in a lover's embrace by their human mother, Nicolia. Appalled, she went to their father and asked that he separate the two forever. Oromis cast the Twins into the skies, forever apart. Arjana and Argyros wept, inconsolably, and their mourning cast a deep sickness on the evening skies, causing their lights to slowly fade away. Touched by their grief, the Goddess Loivissa pled their case to her brother, their father, Oromis. His heart softened by his sister's gentle plea and the God declared that while the two shall remain separated during most of the year, one week Arjana and Argyros would be allotted to share the same sky.
