Name Behemoth Basilisk
Type Reptilian
Size Medium (4-8 feet / 60-500 lbs)
Entry
Twice the size of a normal human, the behemoth basilisk inhabits the southern rocky areas of Genesaris. Its head-to-tail span is up to 25 ft.
Feasting on small animals and plants, it avoids contact with humans, but will defend its habitat if threatened. A formidable foe.
Horn-like bone protrusions adorn its back in two rows, becoming single-file along its tail but forking at the tip. Six legs increase agility and stability at the cost of speed. Sharp teeth can rip apart with ease while tough reptilian hide deflects most crude weapons. Its three-pronged talons can claw a tree hollow or dig a hole in the ground in minutes.
Normally its saliva is harmless but when mixed with secretions from special mouth glands, the mixture becomes its trademark danger: a spit that turns organic matter into stone.
