Pps I also know you messaged him complaining about it earlier (claiming you didn't wanna take it public) and he checked with the admins making sure it was okay and how when he told you they were cool with it he assumed that was the end of it.

I wasn't really cool with it, but my annoyance levels increased one I realized it that someone was actually role playing a carbon copy of Pain. The post I made was after I spent an entire day in a room in Texas with 70 people with no Ac [it was 100+ degrees inside] so my lack of tact was brought on by recovering from exhaustion.

I'm just clearing up my stance in a more polite way. Speaking of which, I'm sorry for the harsh stance I took earlier.

Ps: Also, it was never about not making it public. Many other players had noted annoyance with it.

Can you state who the players are that find the Naruto character's annoying? You might as well, since you attempted to throw Andrew under the bus. I'm just curious as to how you claim that people dislike the idea of it, yet you provide no proof and i've only seen one other person speak up saying they dislike it, but he bitched just like you did. [No offense btw.] I'm just trying to get this straight and figure out why it's such a big deal, i've been here since this place was made and used Naruto based characters. Not a single person ever complained about it. I see it as..if you're not involved with the RP, if you don't involve yourself with the website (Roleplaying wise), If you aren't familiar with the complete idea of WHY they're using Naruto characters, why complain? What does it have to do with you? No one is forcing you to read or interact with them, so why bother?

Andrew openly expressed disinterest in the idea, you can't 'throw someone under the bus' when they've stood out on their own, as an fyi. Otherwise, there hasn't been too much in the way of people outright against the idea, so I'd have to scout to see who else you've 'grouped' with Ran on this one.

I think it's pointless to argue opinions. Roleplayers will roleplay what they want. Is someone going to complain if I create a vampire-neko-lycan-bug planet? Probably. But the opinions of those people don't matter to me, because at least I'm enjoying what I'm doing. So if someone doesn't like it, they can go fuck themselves. They're not important enough to merit arguing with, imo.

I don't mean offense to anyone, I'm just saying that people who bitch will bitch. There's no sense in trying to change their opinions, just let 'em go. Keep doing what you do, and let haters hate.

The long and short of this is: Carlos is totally behind it. The other Admins do not seem to have an issue with it. As Dan just stated only two (maybe 3) people have really spoken out against it.

No one HAS to rp with us. We're accepting of pretty much anybody in our plots, in fact a few of Akatsuki's members haven't seen more than one or two episodes of Naruto. We're not kicking anyone out, we're not busing up into threads and wrecking their plots and if anyone feels that we're somehow destroying their roleplay experience then they really need to sit back and re-evaluate the way they look at Rp.

This is not a published writing site. These plots will not be copy and pasted into a novel...some of them may very well bel re-written into other literary fields (as Terra has done with the Anti-thesis), but RP is largely an exercise in characterization and nothing more.

Just for a moment, let's pretend someone does have plans to turn their shit into a novel and has plans to copy and paste it directly into some other form. Then they can feel free to ignore Akatsuki, or if someone from Akatsuki messages them asking permission to come into their plots (which is our policy) they have every right to say no.

I really don't see the need for there to be any drama stirred up. Nobody is getting hurt by our plots. However, Valucre is ultimately suffering for ANY OOC drama that occurs because of this.

Why settle though? You cited that you didn't want to waste time incase it didn't work out. Though you can't say you didn't put a lot of time into the creation of the characters judging by the sheets, the organization thread, and so on. Clearly people are role playing it, so why not go out and retcon a few things to make it more in line with what Valucre has already provided?

You can become a true part of the world, instead of a Naruto role play trying to fit into a fantasy world. I just see this decision as one that is going to bring other anime cut-outs into Valucre. This isn't about trying to stir up drama, but rather trying to see the rationale for not going for something more inclusive. I just don't see the point of tarnishing what Valucre has evolved into.

Lol E-drama, that makes me giggle. I honestly agree with ghost 1000000000% though. Who cares if people bitch, the RP is still going to continue so why bother textually arguing?

In the end, An opinion is an opinion; this whole argument is a little overboard.

My comment wasn’t intended for drama causing purposes (can’t speak for everyone), I have said it before and I will say it again, so that ‘card’ can stop being played by whoever feels good saying it. That being said, I was sort frown faced to see my attempt in the other blog come to an abrupt end (the conversation that like my take on this one, was peaceful and meant to be largely neutral).

The obvious “dun like it dun post to it” line has been reiterated in several different tones, tenses and by a various amount of people and likely a well agreed a point, can we switch it up a bit since a large portion of the comments (including the last blog about it, and the one before) have been more information seeking than anything.

I'm waiting for the day we won't have to keep repeating the same points over and over.

When you go to the administrators and they say no, it does not mean make a thread about it. When the administrators close your thread, it does not mean make a blog about it.

I have yet to decide whether Ran's ban will be permanent or not. Carlos and I will discuss it later.
