So I'm pretty sure that most of you weren't terribly curious as to where Karina and I disappeared to. Although a couple people know, I figured I'd throw it out there in public just so everyone's aware of our situation.

We had a child on November 21st 2010. Karina's disappearance prior to this date was obviously due to pregnancy and other engagements. Due to financial issues and being otherwise incapable of properly raising a child (to our standards), we gave her up for adoption. Her name is Anna Elizabeth. The adoption is open and we hand-picked the parents out of a group of several. She'll have a great life, and she'll know who we are.

Karina and I do not have any format of insurance or other financial aid. We live by ourselves and fully pay for everything. We each also work part time jobs making minimum wage. As a result, the medical bills are very difficult to deal with. We are in the hole a fair deal.

So with a combination of working and figuring out all of that shit, as well as trying to have time for each other, we haven't necessarily had time to jump online and be active and post (or be consistently doing graphics, in her case.) It also doesn't help that we don't have internet at our house. We can only access it through wi-fi spots or at her mothers house.

As I'm sure you've noticed with a spike of activity on her end, and a slight one on mine as well, we're starting to get back into the groove of things. But yeah, that's why we've been gone. It's not necessarily a matter of being forced off, just more of not having the mentality for being around a lot due to circumstances.

    Your courage and strength are something to aspire to. Fight the good fight. I admire your ability to retain independence and strength through such hefty decisions and changes in your lives. Glad to have you around in any form, but even more so if it's permanent.

    I don't think we'll ever leave - I'm sure Carlos would tie us down anyways so not much of a choice ;x <3

    Thank you very much for your kind words, they're greatly appreciated. We were struggling for a bit there, but! we've been able to put things in their place and all is a little better.
