Heero wins, with a 99.99% accuracy. In an anime magazine, I found the "official" story, so thoughtfully thrown away by my parents along with a bunch of my other stuff. Since the battle is unfair anyway, I looked the article up online and reposted it here, for my enjoyment!

"Landing in the heart of Tokyo-3, Wing Gundam Zero begins blasting away city block after city block, hoping to crush Earth's Alliance. 'Odd,' thinks Heero, 'Where are all the mobile suits?'

Just then, Unit 01 slams onto the scene prepared to take the enemy down.

'This--this Angel looks bigger and more powerful than the previous ones,' stammers Shinji, as he sizes up his foe. But before Unit 01's in position, the Gundam blasts him back with a barrage of machine cannon fire from its shoulders.

'That must be the newest model of Mobile Suits. It's sleeker and faster than any I've ever seen,' says Heero, as the Gundam continues to blast Unit 01 across town.

Suddenly, the Evangelion leaps cat-like through the air, landing square on the Gundam's chest plate and knocking it over. Pulling out a Prog-Knife from its arm shaft, Unit 01 starts cutting into Wing Zero, causing some serious damage to the Gundam's left shoulder.

Unable to pull out its twin buster rifle in such short range, Wing Zero fashions its beam saber and--in a flash of light, sparks and flames--slices off Unit 01's knife-wielding hand before rising to its feet and flying off some distance.

Overcome with shock, Shinji's mind collapses into a sea of rage. As Unit 01 races toward Wing Zero, its hand regenerates, pulls out a Pulsitron Rifle and fires away wildly at the astonished Gundam. While blocking a good number of shots with its shield, some stray blasts find their mark and cause some serious damage to Wing Zero's casing.

Not afraid to die for his cause, Heero pulls in the reigns and starts flying towards Unit 01. Just as Unit 01 leaps in the air towards the approaching Gundam, Wing Zero pulls out its Twin Buster Rifle and lets loose a steady stream of fire that cuts the Evangelion in half, and it falls hard to the Earth below.

Impressed by his opponent, Heero Yuy flies off."
