Otherwise, Just A Memory

So awhile back, my sister came to visit and brought two of her kids with her, Emily and Zachary. Zachary's like...four and absolutely adorable with a -huge- imagination.

Anyhow, he was playing "Hide From The Zombies" which is basically hiding underneath a blanket and scooting across the floor all quiet-like without bumping into people or the furniture (aka the zombies). >_>

So, I'm sitting on the sofa watching him and just...amazed at how this kid is able to stay under that damn blanket with it being as hot as it was that day. I kept telling him that he had to be burning up under there and he kept saying, "But the zombies are out there." Every now and then, he'd scream "Time out!" and then flip the blanket, run to the refrigerator and get some water before running back under the blanket, safe from the zombies.

Me being the person that I am...I wait until he's back into "hide from the zombies" mode again and I....

...sneak up behind him all quiet-like. Get real close to his head and then....

Little dude flipped back that blanket, scrawled across the floor until he could run, then turned around and realized (prolly cuz I was laughing so hard) that it was only me.

His response?

"Tia Nona! You scared me!"

Serious look on his face before he told me with a very...very...stern but quiet voice.

"I think I peed."

Shoulders sagged.

"Yeah, I peed. Just a little, though."
