Kepler 22-B

My stumbling upon a fairly curious conversation this morning got me thinking about the future of mankind. Granted my thoughts and the conversation itself are not at all connected, nevertheless I felt I ought to share this.
Relocation to a different planet or at least the exploitation of a different planet's resources are options we are soon to have. Not as soon as my lifetime however, but perhaps the younger generation or the one following will see the day we send excavation and mining equipment off to different planets.
Hell maybe we'll have robots we can mind-control from back home.
Nevertheless, I'm excited about the prospect of having a floating blue space cow who instead of giving milk gives me alcohol. I'll have Brandy all dolled up, and Whiskey with a laser pointer to entertain his drunken self, Beer can have pizza instead of fodder because... let's face it beer and pizza are amazing together.
Anyway onward to the point!
HY!
But I will continue:
"The planet, Kepler 22-b, lies about 600 light-years away and is about 2.4 times the size of Earth, and has a temperature of about 22C.
It is the closest confirmed planet yet to one like ours - an "Earth 2.0".
Kepler 22-b lies 15% closer to its sun than the Earth is to our Sun, and its year takes about 290 days. However, the planet's host star puts out about 25% less light, keeping the planet at its balmy temperature that would support the existence of liquid water."
