Archival: So would Lizardfolk kill humans stepping into Athenaeum? >.>
Lemonade: The Athenaeum is actually the most peaceful area in Iselyr, right now.
Lemonade: It's like a giant spa. Bath houses and the like.
Lemonade: A place to exercise one's mind while relaxing one's body, you could say.
Archival: Good. I'd like Archival to be an employee there. (Was even thinking of offering to update your current Iselyr map, as scholarly proof.) I hope scrolls aren't affected by the humidity, but I'm sure the archives are far away from the hot springs.
Lemonade: Nah, pretty sure the Lizardfolk took great care in their construction of the Athenaeum to prevent its contents from being destroyed by humidity.
Lemonade: However, they didn't/couldn't foretell the devastating effects of Scroll Insects.
Lemonade: And, although the Lizardfolk were responsible for the construction of the buildings...they don't have too much of a presence there.

New [06-01, 15:40] Archival: Blast those pests! Oh? Well, then, I look forward to us fleshing the Athenaeum out in the thread!
New [06-01, 15:40] Disco Lemonade: There are some Lizardfolk, but dryads, nymphs, Elvenfolk, and humans populate the area. Even mermaids have been spotted in the coastal waters.
New [06-01, 15:41] Archival: Oh? lol... all this time we and Kast were worried. Sounds good.
New [06-01, 15:42] Disco Lemonade: It's a very peaceful and relaxing place. It's rich and luxurious. Probably the reason why the richer folk of Iselyr travel there.
New [06-01, 15:42] Archival: Saving this convo.
New [06-01, 15:43] Disco Lemonade: The water used in the bath houses isn't just...regular h20. It's an offshoot of Celestial Brew that provides healing properties.
New [06-01, 15:44] Disco Lemonade: There is, actually, a permanent position available in the Library. But, it's not going to be made available to Demonkind. Not now, or in the future.
New [06-01, 15:45] Archival: Arch's a regular human. >.> And just a regular job he's looking for.
New [06-01, 15:46] Disco Lemonade: What's his alignment?
New [06-01, 15:46] Archival: Neutral; not involved in world's controversies; passive observer.
New [06-01, 15:47] Hiss The Villain: MAN I LOVE LIZARDPEOPLE
New [06-01, 15:49] Disco Lemonade: You mentioned the Gazers, Arch, but they're not located in Chemosh.
New [06-01, 15:49] Disco Lemonade: They're in Zenial Passage.
New [06-01, 15:49] Archival: I know, but records of the Gazers' readings are saved in archives protected by the Codex in the Library.
New [06-01, 15:51] Disco Lemonade: What, exactly, are you wanting to do?
New [06-01, 15:51] Disco Lemonade: Because....eventually, if I ever find the right character/writer who could pull it off, I intend to replace the NPC status of the Codex by an actual player.
New [06-01, 15:57] Disco Lemonade: There are actually two different 'types' of Lizardfolk on Iselyr.
New [06-01, 15:58] Disco Lemonade: Peaceful Lizardfolk that you can find in most cities. And then Desert Lizardfolk. Those are the ones with the Battle Scorpions.
New [06-01, 16:01] Archival: Just a regular lowly librarian position. Nothing fancy. It'd be Archival's home. But these are bountiful information you've given me, which me and Kast can incorporate ourselves if need be.
New [06-01, 16:01] Archival: NOw I have to save this on a blog; profile msgs have 2000 char limit. >.<
New [06-01, 16:02] Disco Lemonade: Ah...then you'll never see the records the Codex has.
New [06-01, 16:03] Disco Lemonade: And, I -know- a lot of this information should be posted...but there's a reason for why it isn't.
New [06-01, 16:03] Disco Lemonade: I'll just say it has to do with the canonical rp I'm running, though.
New [06-01, 16:08] Archival: Oh crud. :P Dangling the carrot in front of Archival, I see. >.>
New [06-01, 16:09] Archival: Hmm... ok. First things first. A library job. The Codex will have to ... wait later...
New [06-01, 16:11] Disco Lemonade: The only other job I can offer you is one that requires adventure. Exploring uncharted territory for a scholar who resides in Chemosh.
New [06-01, 16:11] Archival: Is that the rumour of a scholar looking for ruins??
New [06-01, 16:13] Disco Lemonade: Mhm.
New [06-01, 16:14] Archival: Alright, will incorporate ALL of this into RP. Arch would be devastated, but ... at least going on an adventure will give him more time with...the playful Kast... >.>

New [09-01, 19:00] Disco Lemonade: Secondly, the entire settlement was more like one colossal spa, a giant health resort, with interspersed bath houses and interconnecting cobbled pathways, all gleaming starch white and sandy gold in afternoon daylight. Roofs of baked terracotta red. Patrons barefooted strolled around relaxingly, while staff members—discernible by their uniform tunics and togas—dispensed services of luxury and style.
New [09-01, 19:00] Disco Lemonade: Very accurate.
    New [09-01, 19:00] Archival: Yay! <3
New [09-01, 19:00] Disco Lemonade: I imagine bright orange tunics for the men and pretty turquoise for the women.

New [30-01, 13:36] Morgan: I imagine the Gazers to be eyeless humans and elves wearing gray robes and casting a sorta indigo aura.
New [30-01, 13:36] Morgan: The Athenaeum itself is like the Roman coliseum.
New [30-01, 13:37] Morgan: Most of its 'stories' are underground. With tunnels and passages that lead to and from the surrounding guilds where the gladiators are housed.

    Above is the AMPHITHEATRUM
    Below is ATHENAEUM Library.

New [30-01, 13:42] Morgan: athenaeum is a domed building with many large rooms. It's only two stories high but inside it looks much much larger. call it the excellence of lizardfolk craftsmanship.
New [30-01, 13:44] Cordeliane: After Noon Arch
New [30-01, 13:45] Morgan: Below, the athenaeum is a series of tunnels, as well, that leads to and from various bath houses. There is a section that's been corded off by the Librarian.
New [30-01, 13:46] Morgan: There are also underground tomes used for storage and study. Several laboratories used for studying, as well.
