I think I am out of practice as a writer, mainly due to the fact that I've been busy lately. Would anyone have any suggestions and or tips to improve my writing? I want to get back into the spirit of things, rather then writing all by my lonesome but most of my creative thinking has gone out the window.
Out of the blue as a writer my thoughts of late have been of epic fighting scenes and mass murder. As sort of the norm for the past 11+ years I've been at free-form writing. It's all fine and good, and I've had the privileges of fighting some of the strongest around here, and off-site. But to be perfectly honest, and not belittling in to any of the players out there. But I think somehow my talents are better served in a non-combatant form, even as much progress I make toward perfecting my art.
I'd hate to say it but in my mind I have come to the conclusion that were all in error ourselves. We may think ourselves not, however are we all to gifted to be blessed with power that it's not inherently earned? Are we as writers neglecting the details of our world by describing the destruction of it? These things I think about on a consistent basis.
Though the mold of Valucre is as is stated a Mild Powers Format. I can help but ask myself if we still push the boundary to far.
