Restoration: A short while ago, a hurricane tore through the streets of Patia, taking the life of a few unlucky citizens, splitting the pavement of the streets, and tearing the roofs off of a few homes. The students that sign up for this will be required to help thatch roofs and lay down pavement to fix holes and cracks.
Fluffy!: Ol' Mrs. Jenkins, the benchmark crotchety senior citizen of Dougton, has recently lost her cat Fluffy. The students who sign up for this will be required to track, capture, and bring Fluffy back. The problem is that Fluffy is an Ethereal cat that can, you guessed it, teleport for short distances. To make matters worse, Fluffy sure has some sharp claws…
Pollution Solution: Cococino Marsh, thanks to the constant passage of travels of all races and breeds, has become something of a hotspot for two things; litter, which damages the ecosystem and is just plain and simply put an eyesore, and pests. Cockatrices, giant insects, and the like have to be cleared out before matters take a turn for the worse and we start losing lives.
Note: Half the infestation has been cleared out manually by Odin Haze.
Frostilicus: A mage wanted a way to keep cool in the summer, and so created an ice golem that he would keep in a corner. He dubbed it Frostilicus. Alas, he was so thorough he also gave it the urge to break things. It was last seen in the sewers, leaving behind a trail of minty-fresh mice. Capture and bring back in working condition.
Hole-y smokes!: After a brief and localized tremor shook loose the entrance to a subterranean tunnel, the aging librarian climbed inside and found a large network of tunnels and storage rooms. The rooms nearest the entrance, a personal library, were filled with old tomes both ancient and rare. The librarian has asked for students from the Academy to come help dig out the books and, if any have an aptitude for it, help him translate the texts.
Potion Commotion: The Mages Guild would like to remind everyone that flushing reagents down the drain is unwise. Please recycle with care. Because someone forgot this rule, the reagents recombined downstream and leaked into a section of catacomb. There are undead roaming about.
Garden Gnomes?: Agatha, who harvests many fruits and vegetables in her gardens, has noticed that her merchandise has been going missing. After investigating, she found that there were no tracks left behind, human or otherwise. Just holes, covered up, about a foot wide. She has asked for a pair of students to come out, hide, and find out what exactly is responsible for all the disorder.
A bad case of the Mondays (Herbalism students): A young boy that lives with his parents in a sparsely populated area around Dougton has come down a severe allergic reaction. The symptoms reported are sores, respiratory problems, high fever and discoloration of fingers and toes. Despite apparently alarming manifestations of the sickness the boy's life is not in danger, though he is in a bad way, and his symptoms are not contagious. Herbalism students are invited to identify what is causing the reaction and reporting their findings remotely to their teacher for further instruction.
Ghostbuster (Terran Engineering students): The local magistrate's office reports a presence that seems to travel via its pressure sensitive fungi, passing from screen to screen like it's in an elaborate aquarium. Please investigate its nature and, if possible, neutralize.
Finders Keeper (International Diplomacy students): A farmer has recently dug up a substantial amount of aragane ore, which is native to the Elrux region of Muhir. It is a large enough cache to warrante the attention of ORDER, which claims it is was illegally exported and wants to repatriate it. The farmer, after digging through several tons of dirt in his own backyard, is understandably reticent. Please debrief on Muhir policy and resolve this standoff.
Singing to the Stars (Folk Magic + Ritual Magic students): A local tribe has a ritual whereupon they sing to the stars in an elaborate dance, with incense and precise instrumenting for good herbal harvests. The Librarium would like to catalogue this ritual, describing it in terms of modern magic theory. Please assist magus Warner Langford in this effort. Be respectful of the tribe's custom
