    Alia's vineyard

It was not any different then any other day after a harvest, sitting in the shop with a smile on my face my hands moved quickly, tying bright green bows around the neck of a pale green bottle. As well as tying purple bows , with green tips, around light purple bottles. For every colored bow there was a different flavor of wine. The purple bottles with purple ribbon with green tips got Blueberry wine. Well the Green bottles with green ribbon got white grape wine put in them.

The wine would be ready in a month or two but prepping the bottles had to be done first. My hand twitched as I rapidly thought of growing more purple grapes, it would take less then a 1 minuet to have them sprout from the ground, but harvest had jest happened yesterday. In two day I will start a slow growth she nodded to herself. How ever much she wanted to speed up the process keeping her ability secret was also important.

Looking around I still had a lot of wine left over from last year, I had cheated a lot. All I had wanted was wine for over the season. I smiled big and jumped up grabbing a bottle with a red ribbon with green tips wrapped around the neck of a light pale red bottle. It was rose wine. My favorite. Reaching over, I grabbed the wine screw and popped the cork from the center. Getting the wonderful aroma that filled my nose. I poured it into a small water glass. With all the fancy wine glasses around me, I poured it into a wine glass. If I had not been so distracted I would of laughed if I would of noticed it.

Walking back to my desk I plopped on the edge of it and closed my eyes, taking a long slow sip of the ambrosia that filled my cup. “Only the good stuff for me.” I mumbled as I almost fell backwards before a small branch from the tree came through the window to catch me, then receded. Of cores I had made the rapid growth, but I only did it because no one was around. Sighing I jumped down from the table that I had wrapped in green vines when I first opened years ago. For a earthy feel. Then went back to work with my wine close to my side and a smile that made the sun shine brighter.

From the empty space beside her, emerged a man. He was of a broad, burly build, with a set of bulky shoulders and big, bear hands. His eyes were an aesthetic shade of aureate, glowing with an aura of amiable warmth. Instead of seeming malapropos in the milieu, the man melted seamlessly into his environment, as though he always belonged there. As though he was as fitting as the flowers and ferns and flora that fought fiercely to force their way out from under the floor.

For he was a man that was destined to dominate in any sphere, no matter how dark or daunting.

His inadequate fanfare of an appearance was made up for by his introduction, which he began with an idle sweep of his hand to identify himself, for he was of an ilk entirely incapable of ill-mannered impropriety.

"Allow me to introduce myself. I am Apidej, the architect, artist, and author of the arrangement known as Dictum Veritas. I believe you will be an invaluable asset and an awesome addition to our group."

Jumping up,and spinning around. i held out my hand to great him, flair was my forty. and it always looked so good on me. i smiled Unsure of what the man was speaking of, but really not caring to much. i assumed a quick sale of my wine was near, but first i would listen to what he had to say.All ways listen to customers makes them fell speacale i repeated in my head. "So what is this Dictum Veritas? I would love to hear more of it. As well as how would i a mere wine maker could be of use to you?" My smile and voice was sweat.

Apidej has an uncanny ability for remaining cool under the threat of gunfire. At first it was just a gift, one that steadied his hand and calmed his heart during the most trying of times. But as he grew older, this quality grew and wove a quilt of soothing warmth around him, blanketing those he met with the comfort of his presence. Speaking to him, one sensed immediately the good-will that guided his intentions and the steady frankness of his character. He was a rock for those around him, to cling to and remain afloat upon during the most turbulent storms.

"Dictum Veritas, miss, is a group driven to battle against the evil, corrupting pestilence that is leeching the lifeblood of our society. We are composed of individuals who are the world's remaining defense against this darkness. The difference is that we are organized and ready to fight."

His voice rumbled, as though it had to traverse long, cavernous tunnels to reach her. It resonated with so much power that those of a lesser ilk would surely buckle in its wake. He took her by the hand, allowed her to feel the heat flow from between their flesh, and shook it warmly. His smile was wide, with a set of dimples and bright, intelligent eyes.

"I imagine this is very unexpected. Greatness has been thrust upon us, and we must ride the storm as it comes. You do not have to answer immediately, but know that my invitation and doors will remain open to you."

He took my hand in his after he Spock. his definition of the group and why he was here echoed in my ear. His grip was strong and UN-dieing, my small hand collapsed in his. my weak grip was nothing.I never winced or made a move to show that i felt pain.My smile was plastered on my face. He seemed like a good man, and he either wanted me for my plant manipulation, or for my wine. For good measure i say my wine. He finally let go of my hand and i smiled and dramatically turned around with my back to him. "sounds fun" I spook with a hidden smile on my lips. " i would love to make wine for you're group" i said as i walked forward.

I silently walked behind the table and turned to face him, jumping on the table. I bent over semi seductively, holding out my hand to him. By this time i was sure he thought i was insane and giggled out loud my eyes closing lightly. My hand was still out stretched, offering to help him up on the table. My smile never wavering. I made a show to all my customers. they always ended up either annoyed or amused. Either way they always came back for MY wine. I made sure i was carfule to not step on or knock over anything on my jam packed table but it was fun as always.

Apidej's patience was unparalleled. It was an immutable wall, resolute in the face of others' idiosyncracies and failures. When he took up the mantle of leadership, it stilled his ire as others spat at his dreams and stomped at his hopes. In the end, he emerged a stronger man, with a legion of men prepared to die for him in war, and live for him in peace. So when she dismissed her greater talent for wine-brewing, his mien remained pleasant and warm. Instead of lashing out in frustration, as many men would, at her oddity, he took her by the hand and lifted himself onto the table.

"We welcome you with open arms, eager to embrace you in your entirety, whether it be skill in wine brewing, or something else."

His eyes twinkled gently, and though his lips remained seals, he seemed to be laughing. Apidej's grip on her hand was firm, the touch of a man who could easily crush a giant's fist to dust, as well as hold a comrade's hand through a forest of crawling, creeping darkness.

His words rang in my ears. I tilted my head ever so slightly, then with one of my serious looks i jumped down turning to look up at him. I plastered on another smile less brilliant, more mundane. " The rumors are not true, which ever rumor you have heard. Un less you can prove it true i will jest be a wine provider." i spook still with a smile but my voice was serious. he had not been here when i had manipulated the tree, i think. so i should be able to be fine.

I hated to be mean, i needed to know if this man would stick with his assumptions or back down like a cowered. I kept looking up at him then garbed a green bottle and picked up a green ribbon. so i could tie it around the neck of the bottle. my hands moving fast once more, truthfully waiting for his response. in some way i wanted him to have some proof of my gift, so i could go do something more adventurous. I was somewhat confused by my wish, but it was what it was none the less.

Apidej's eyelids drooped, and though he had said nothing, his body language told volumes about his skepticism. Perhaps it was the small, secretive smile that crawled along the edges of his lips, or the quizzical rise of his brow under a halo of dark, unruly hair. For a few seconds, he allowed his silence to drown out the meaninglessness of her words, to show his contempt for her deception.

"You are not the only one with the ability to speak to the earth and trees, miss. Would you like me to prove you wrong, and show you how unnecessary and foolish your lie is?"

His tone was light and cheery, but his eyes were stern as they scrutinized her, like a scolding parent who had caught their child in a misdeed. Apidej's hands wove and slipped around one another like fishes in the sea, and the steady hum from his lips indicated that he was preparing to do as he had promised.

It was a matter of seconds before he'd catch her red-handed.

I smiled this was begging to be the most amusement i had had in ages and he seemed ever so ready to prove to me what he could do that i must beat him to the punch, i had never used my ability's to fight before, but there is always a first. Smiling the vines on the table moved fast and unrelenting attempting to wrap around the man bodie as my wonderful hand planted tree's branched through the wall of my house leaving a gaping hole but swinging at the man in Question. A giggle left my lips as a brrior patch of throned roses grew directly in front and behind the table he stood on. This was exhilarating. At very least today was not boring, and it was nice to use it for something more then wine. if he did not duck my branches would stop before the caused damage. I had no plans on hurting him. Jest giving my customer a show, like always...

The vines did not rise. They did not latch onto his legs and sink their thorns into his legs. They remained motionless, the influence she exerted upon it equaled by his own. Free to move, he rolled smoothly to the side and stepped off the table. If the branches deviated from their course and lashed out at him, he had already ducked and was sliding lithely away from the scene of violence.

"Impressive. I believe, miss, that is proof enough of your talents."

His golden eyes glowed strangely, with the one on the left a shade lighter than the right. He stepped towards her, mouth loose with barely contained laughter and hands lifted in a gesture of welcome. Apidej was not offended by her assault; in fact, he was pleased with her impressive display of control over vegetation, and seemed all the more eager to have her join his cause.

I smiled not really surprised, as far as i was concerned that was a small display, and the strong always come looking for the week. so i must be weaker then this man, but if he wanted me, maybe my gift of plants was stronger then his? I did not know. I was also sure he would not go out of his way to tell me. I smiled as he walked up to me. "so what do you need of me? Will i have a position in you're group?" My eyes lit up and i tried my hardest to not fidget, seeing as i tend to do that all the time. At this point the plants had resided to there normal place and a few of the men in the brewery had ran up to look at the gaping hole that had magically appeared in the side of the building.

<ooc sorry for short post, still need to get a costumed to a overly happy, most likely annoying char.>

"Your ability to control vegetation will be an invaluable asset to our group. And your wine will be savored by all." His smile broadened, and his glowing eyes peered intently into hers. In that instant, his eyes turned to liquid, and when he gazed at her, he seemed to encapsulate her within the twin seas of shining gold. "Just like all the others, you will have a place for you. A place where your talents need not be hidden. Talents that will be put to the best use for you and the new friends you will be making."

As the men from the brewery rushed into the scene of violence, some of which were climbing awkwardly through the hole in the wall, Apidej extended his hand to her. He gazed at the men, who stared at them like dazed animals in the headlight, and there was an unmistakable urgency in his voice.

"If you would like to join us, take my hand and I will take you away. Away from here, to the place you are destined to be, since the first step you took upon the glorious path of your destiny."

I listen closely as he spook , his words drew me in the idea of a new exciting life drew me in. i was excited. i must of been unaware of my surroundings as a man that worked for me ran in and looked like a idiot staring at me and i guess i can say my new found friend. I smiled and waved at him " I am off on a journey , take care." i said cheerfully waving bye to him and went to turn and walk of but was then told to take my new companions hand....so I DID!

    "Close your eyes."

A flash of light, then the sound of cursing and bodies slamming together. Apidej's skin was searing hot, and their interlocked hands seemed to melt. A wayward breeze swept over them, encircling them in a whirlwind of strange, mystical power. The men who had fumbled through the hole were blinded by the light, and in their panic, ran into one another. Their screams sounded farther and farther away, and she'd feel as though her body was losing sensation. In a matter of seconds, they were gone, transported directly back to the Dictum Veritas headquarters.

    [Exit Apidej]
