    The Fringe of Joran City
Area: West Genesaris, 100 miles from the west sea's
    Five Miles Outside of Joran
Landmarks: A small abandoned farm, with an iron barbed fence.
    Temperature: 70 degrees Fahrenheit
    Wind: West at 10 - 20 M.P.H
Time: Half an hour from sunset.

Kenge stood on the west-side of an iron fence, belonging to an abandoned farm. Suffice to say Kenge didn't particularly like large population centers. Refusing the annoying call to move closer to the city. Kenge stood feeling the wisp of warm air at his back. Emerald-green eyes looked over his shoulder occasionally awaiting his opponent. He didn't particularly know why he wished to participate in this tournament. Taking leave of Itazuki's entourage was a welcome diversion, even if it meant he had to kill for it. Out here it was peaceful, in a morbid pretense serene enough to die in. He pondered if his opponent would feel the same about this location. Though it really didn't matter what he had to say, there was no reason to speak to a man who was going to die. As the same applied to him in that sense. At least here, he could die peacefully -in a location of his choice.

Closing his eyes for a second, Kenge cleared his thoughts of all else. There was no need for words, no reason to hold onto everything. When his opponent came, there could only be one commitment; death and nothing more. The collar irritated him, but that was always at the back of Kenge's mind. Joran was a relatively large city in itself. It had to many people that could come between Kenge and victory. Not that he cared anymore, about killing people. This trial had already passed him, leaving him feel less regret about taking life. With each person he killed, it was plausible to assume he would only grow less regretful of ending life. Did it make him a monster in spite of that? No, he didn't relish murder in the least. However, at the same time collateral damage was something he didn't wish for.

Even so, those people would impede his ability to kill the target. That in itself was the reason for this location. The only indication of a fight here would be a smoldering plain -and a corpse. He knew nothing of his opponents motives, or his personality, or his goals. These were meaningless to Kenge, there was only one clear course of action. Kill or be killed.

There was silence in the chambers of his majesty.

The candles held no light, and the only source of life in the throne room was Calais himself. He had left for only a few days and everything had ended, the soldiers that once guarded the stronghold had disappeared...as had his majesty. There wasn't much else to say, he had been standing there for several hours, profusely sweating and shivering. Yet he couldn't bring himself to walk away. A few more moments followed his sudden clench of his right fist, then his face broke out into a relaxed grin.

There was nothing else left for him there. The time had come.

He faded quite literally. The alchemy symbol drawn in chalk beneath him pulsed and shimmered, engulfing him in a light that warped his remains across the dimensions that separated their two worlds. All that would be left was the abandoned fortress with relics of a empire that had met an unexpected end by unknown means. It would become one of the mysteries of Gaia.

Soon a pillar of unstained beauty crashed into the surface of the plains, scaring the grass away. It faded almost instantly, revealing the regal alchemist, the alchemist that prepared to put his life on the line for a means that would only remain a mystery. His vibrant red tie was adjusted along his neck, and then his steps brought him closer to the farm off into the distance that he could see from the top of the hill.

He could also see his opponent. Approaching the barn that was approximately twenty meters away, he didn't attempt to make out the distance between him and his foe yet (which regardless puts him at about twenty five away, if your post was read right). Instead he was overjoyed by the fact that there were several resources for the battle ahead near him.

Approaching with soft footsteps, he made his way towards the barn, while keeping himself aware of his foe and his presence. Circulation of blood began to quicken, and metabolism began to burn. Muscles showed no signs of change outwardly, but already they had strengthened in their resolve before the battle had begun. Stronger and faster than an average human, he was only just beginning to exercise the trait granted by his father.

On that day, he wasn't determined to win. He wasn't determined to kill his foe. He was determined to have fun. A strange goal wasn't it?

Kenge wasn't made aware that his opponent was here already. Even though he surmised it was relatively safe, on the other end of the fence. Looking over his shoulder to the farm, he really didn't think it was of any notable concern. It was long abandoned probably pilfered of any relevant equipment. Left to slowly decay in this serene pasture, a cruel fate -yes. Though kind in comparison to other instruments of destruction.

Although that really wasn't pertinent to this fight. Despite the fact that it was there, as a reminder of people who once prospered here. Kenge decided that the fence was a suitable barrier to announce anyone who would jump it. Standing atop the knoll, Kenge decided that it was a safe position. Since any attempt to round the fence, or the knoll adjacent to it would become foreseeable. Spying the barn as though it might hide a target of opportunity. Was it safe to leave it here? Despite the fact that someone could be hiding amidst it's broadside. Perhaps not, however there was little point in blasting it into scorched plywood.

Deciding that he was sufficiently secure on his ground. Kenge held his shoulders high, and loosened his grip. As he began to slowly feel a strong breeze around him. Energizing himself with the criss-crossing currents, this land was his strength. The barn was his impediment. Asserting that there was a lone stranger hiding alongside it was a possibility. Albeit a perfectly logical one to assume, a retro-current fueled around Kenge. Feeding him with a power source that was perfect to harvest. Invisible, ever-present, and all encompassing, the wind was his to wield.

    Spoiler:
Gale Conversion: Wind attacks are applied toward a reserved pool, that can be applied toward activated abilities. +1 Prep accumulated from the wind.

From then on, his mind announced to itself that the battle had begun and that it was time to move into action. His feet touched the ground with his soft steps, and four symbols were spawned where he had been walking before. Stopping on the other side of the barn—his foe that made preparations of their own. Calais already knew his foe's whereabouts generally, so preparations were made.

From behind the barnyard he acted. The ground beneath them both would make light tremors that could hardly be felt, and on the other side of that barn—a basic strategy was used. His foe would have to be catiuous in approach...for anything could be occurring on the opposite side. The sound of rocks crashing together and immaterial groans could be heard.

And in addition, his strength was refined and his agility further strengthened in those moments he was not assaulted and left alone. His opponent would have quite something on his hands if he didn't assess the situation properly.

    Calais laughed inside.

Kenge was immediately alerted to the stirring of the earth. His once pleasant eyes took on the facade of a killer. His opponent preferred to stalk in around implementing his demise secretly. Such a man was cowardly to Kenge, though a force to be reckoned with. "You stalk the shadows preparing to end me. I will end you with the light shinning on you."Kenge thought ruefully, it was then that he lifted the ring of Aerokineticism up. Thankful that Itazuki had gifted this ring upon him. It would be the tool of his opponents fate.

"Couldn't come out to meet me, could you stranger!?"

There was little point in hiding his location. Since they knew where they both were. Preparations were made as the ring of Aerokineticism activated. Another current of air surrounded Kenge, giving him yet another source of power. This ring was a god-send in itself. Kenge was now surrounded in a column of wind, that allowed him to 'hover' ever so slightly. He could even draw on the energy from that wind, to bolster his attack. Even in a place that provided little to no wind-energy.

There was no cause for his demise, just a plot on behalf of this individual to commit homicide. It only came down to one thing, Kenge, or him. Who cared what he had to say, this fight was his.

    Gale Conversion: +2 Preps

As implied by the foe, they were both aware of each other's location on the other side of the barnyard—so the battle had truly begun in an action of Calais' own. Vines suddenly swirled from the ground beneath Kenge, shooting from below—covered in thorns and poisonous ooze that aimed to atleast graze or cut the opponent. Five meters of terrain surrounding Kenge was scarred by the sudden wrath of mother nature's thorny upheavel. They were thick vines aiming to carve through his body and tear flesh from bone with the speed of thunder and strength of nature.

The roar from behind the barnyard continued, and a depressing rain began to fall from the sky. Clouds were forced into the sky, and they released a dark downpour of rain upon the foe. That entire side of the barnyard was subject to the rain, and the other side was clear of such. Calais' location was likely not exactly known, being as he was not in view, but it was rightfully assumed that he was directly on the other side working the magic that had been coming into fruition. Regardless, the battle was growing interesting, and soon his opponent would find that he was facing someone with the strategic mind of a professor.

The strengthening of the muscles power and speed began to reach a maximum.

Know yourself. His opponent wasted no time in amassing his assault. From afar even the fight had just begun, albeit a small victory had been achieved by Kenge. In knowing a little bit of Calais combat tactics in this fight. Kenge would have to go on the defensive with a sudden onslaught of vines. The likes of which threatened to cut and slice him into raw meat. There was little time to react, beyond the sudden bursting grass that transfused into thick vines.

In that brief window, Kenge acted on a steadfast move to Keep himself out of harm. The energy he had thus accumulated went to work, in his defense. Luckily the ring he wore had become activated. Before these vines whipped at his heels, while he hovered over them. His opponent unaware he controlled a measure of the air around him. Or perfectly aware of Kenge's air mastery. The aura of Kenge burst suddenly with a thick power that literally grind these vines to pieces. Before they could reach out to slice him up. Clearing a five foot circle around him down to the dirt. As Kenge found himself surrounded by these vines that flailed at him. Only finding air to to feast upon, that had been a lucky close call.

If it weren't for the quick thinking on Kenge's part to levitate. This might have been a serious issue, however the rain itself would prove a hindrance. As the wind beneath the clouds would be nullified slightly. The ring of Aerokineticism sizzled then, the air grew thicker in a whiplash of power. As charges from it empowered Kenge to go on the offensive this time, facing the barn. Closing his hands together, Kenge poured Qi into a tightly compressed ball, barring the wind from the wind sphere deflecting those wind-drops. Kenge fired the ball of crimson Qi in the direction of the barn.

Effectively to burn a path toward his opponents last-known locale. Vines melted, into a thick smoldering puss. Though many wouldn't catch flame from the torrential downpour of rain. It proved to be enough to at least clear a path. As an explosion rocked the barn, blasting a wide hole. Into one side of the structure, and out the other side. Whether his opponent had been there or not, remained to be seen. The land before Kenge smoldered with fried vines. Even some melted to provide a limited gang-way for him to cross.

Not wasting anymore time to use the offensive plan. Kenge moved forward now, and prepared to face the dangers ahead. His expression clearly one spelling motive for murder now.

    Spoiler:
    Gale Conversion: +1
Ring of Aerokineticism: 4 charges remaining

There were a few problems wrong with Kenge's eradication of every thorn in the vicinity. While he cleared five feet...there was a total of five meters surrounding him. Sixteen feet, approximately. This left room for uneffected vines to shoot from the ground towards his lower body once more, aiming to wrap around him and soon enough tear at his flesh. This occurred just after the others were eradicated--a back to back action so that they could get their attack in while their foe lived under the assumption that they had destroyed all of the poisonous snakes of nature. What this likely meant was—before his foe could even recognize the fact that he hadn't infact destroyed all of the vines...his flesh would be torn through, ripped asunder by gaia's own wrath.

A ball of qi had been charged and it carved a path towards the barnyard. A smirk was had—and then the barn exploded from the energy of the ball crashing into its side. It was torn through, and its walls came tumbling down after the attack. From behind the wall—his foe would once again become frustrated by a limited visibility that would follow the explosion.

A dark mist had begun to spread about the entire area when the ball of qi made its way towards the barn. When the barn exploded, the mist had already covered the majority of the stage they were fighting on. By the time the barn had completely collapsed and flames were the result—the mist had completely covered everything within a kilometer of the barn. The mist's effect was simple: to obscure visibility completely. It was when that mist had spread out, that Calais had declared victory.

The rain's downpour worsened—the murky dark water continued to droop from the sky and to the world below. It only added to the limited visibility and when touched—something would be realized. It's stickiness, it hindered movement slightly. The battlefield was setting itself, and Calais was still no where to be found. He worked his magic along the field while being no where in sight.

    "Soon, it'll be over.."

It could only be assumed, that he was still standing in place, forward behind the barnyard.
