Mind Flayers stands about 6 feet tall and has hideous mauve skin that glistens with slime. The head resembles an octopus, with white eyes (no pupils are evident) and four tentacles around its mouth, a round, many-toothed orifice like that of a lamprey. The creature has three reddish fingers and a thumb on each hand.

Illithids can communicate with any creatures via innate telepathy; they have no spoken language, although they often accompany their thoughts with hissing, and the eager lashing of their tentacles. Mind flayers dress in flowing robes, often with high, stiff collars, adorned with symbols of death and despair.





CLASS ABILITIES
* Psionics (Sp):
At will--Astral Projection, Charm Monster, Detect Thoughts, Levitate, Plane Shift, and Suggestion. These abilities are as the spells cast by an 8th level Sorcerer.

o Mind Blast (Sp):
This attack is a cone 60 feet long. Anyone caught in this cone is stunned for till end of turn. Mind flayers often hunt using this power and then drag off one or two of their stunned victims to feed upon.

o Telepathy (Su):
USHA can communicate telepathically with any creature within 100 feet that has a language.

* Improved Grab (Ex):
To use this ability, USHA must hit a Small to Large creature with her tentacle attack. If she gets a hold, she attaches the tentacle to the opponent's head. USHA can grab a Huge or larger creature, but only if she can somehow reach the foe's head.

* Extract (Ex):
If USHA begins feeding with all four tentacles attached and successfully maintains her hold, she automatically extracts the opponent's brain, instantly killing that creature.
