Summary of Events Faustus Clemens, enigmatic leader of the Dead criminal syndicate under the Architect pseudonym, has been monitoring the Dead Peaks Prison for quite some time. The Dead Peaks Prison is commonly referred to as the toughest nut to crack on the face of Valucre. After the third break-in, Faustus started to suspect foul play and launched an expedition with Cain, the second-in-command, and Fossil, his most trusted general, to investigate the going-ons.

They arrive in Terrenus by way of the S.S. Charon, a luxury cruise-liner owned by the Catalyst Corporation, under the guise of homosexual lovers. Cain separates from the group, likely under a directive from the Architect, leaving only Faustus and Fossil to arrive at Hell's Gate. From there they trek to the Dead Peaks on foot, and it isn't long before they come across the first of the Dead Peaks defenses.

The action and sheer ingenuity I'll leave to the thread itself to support, but the end result is that Faustus and Fossil manage to break into the Dead Peaks, making the fourth successful infiltration of the allegedly impenetrable fortress, and begin to gather information.

As if on a mission from the divine, Faustus finds and breaks into Filip Eggorino's lab (the voodoo personification spell used generates an interesting interaction, you can read it by clicking here where it begins) and plants sensors. He and Fossil come to a startling realization:

The prison that has been broken into time and again, that houses some of Valucre's most dangerous criminals, was a fake. A sham. A honeypot. The truly dangerous, the most chaotic and destructive beings, were hidden in a place much harder to access, and all but inhospitable to life; in the very heard of a void.

Another less engaging, but still interesting, discovery is that Terran scientists have been using criminals to perform all manner of experiments on. After planting sensors in Fillip's lab, they free a prisoner from Fillip's lab (Alastor Creed) for purposes unknown, and then escape.
