Quick little history:
ZeroKay or Zero, was once a full human. But we all know that isn't the case. Her story is a long, tragic one and quite frankly, she hates to talk about it.
Put simply, one of her father's experiments with genes went terribly wrong, and the infected genes made it into Zero's mother. She ended up being overwhelmed by them, and became a full Hunter (Which is Zero's father's name for it) and turned on him. Zero had just come home from school, and moved into to defend her father, only to be bitten and infected as well. She was forced to kill the beast that was used to be her mother. Zero is strong enough to have control of these genes. However, she is only 35% human at any given time. This number changes constantly as she fights the inner monster for control. She must eat the flesh and organs of humans to survive. Her mind is that of her old self. Her body, senses, instincts, and conscience are that of the Huntress. She feels pain for what she does, but no remorse. No regrets. No fear.
