He walked along a polished stone path that snaked through the bustling townscape until it opened at the behest of the village centre. It was an auspicious city in autumn, and the Millennia Fair was infact taking place, as children ran around holding balloons full of helium. The auburn haired Alexander skirted a blonde female as she absent-mindedly walked past the town's bell. Nodding with a smile, he admired the pendant depending from her neck before continuing about his business.

Another girl and her father were standing before two interesting looking platforms that were quite a distance apart. The duo were professing claims of inter-dimensional travel or some other sort of technological magic, when the girl's eyes happened upon him. She cried out in glee, her hands flailing out into the air.

"Hey, Cro-- oh. . . wait. Nevermind."

With his hands stuffed into their respective pockets, Alexander merely continued along the path that would eventually lead to his ultimate destination. There were autumnal scents in the air, with a deep breath, he appreciated their fleeting splendor. The colors the leaves turned this time of year were awe inspiring; there wasn't a season that could hold a candle to the fall. His booted feet settled upon a spiral of stonework that led to a peculiar, raised, platform. His lavender eyes laid upon men performing martial arts to the tune of a crowd's cheers.

"Alright."

[Confused Objectives]

This tournament seemed to be holding more of his time than he originally assumed it would. And it didn't help that none of his matches were up to his standards at all. The youth known as Kou Douteki only entered this god forsaken thing to see his true strength in the world, but all he found were utter failures. Was this the way it was back then? He remembered it differently in his mind.

Maybe it wasn't that good after all.

As the thought raced through his mind, he felt the same feeling against his neck as before. So another fight was about to begin? The youth merely looked around and saw nothing but a common display of fighting. It was so simple that the youth couldn't bare to watch it. Mere entertainment for the masses, it wasn't what the real thing was about. Honor. Strength. Courage. None of that was shown when two men only fought for the sole purpose of others.

Where is he??

It was at that moment that he saw him. This one didn't look any different than the others, even less if Kou was to be honest, but he knew that he had to be good if he made it this far. The youth was not going to make the mistake of judging him off his appearance. He knew that even a filed mouse could take down a lion if the lion wasn't careful. And Kou was no lion. He didn't know what he was. That was his reason for being here. To find that very thing out.

With a nod of respect, the youth didn't even have to step from the crowded area. He knew that the other saw him. Their eyes would meet and then it would begin. Whether it was here in this crowded street or at some hidden location. A fight was about to begin. Not what was being displayed by the puppets of the land, but a real fight for life or death. It was only a matter of time before people might actually get some entertainment that they didn't bargain for.
