Basics:Birth Name: Leander Cristos
Legal Name: Leandros Kostikos
Nickname: Leo, Lee, Leon
Alias: Kostikos the Frozen, Wizard Kostikos
Personality: More often than not, the first thing that people generally notice about Leandros is his sarcastic, witty demeanor and his outright defiance in situations that seem to be almost assuredly deadly to him. Because of his sarcastic repartee, Leandros has made as many enemies as he has made friends over the years. Volatile and quite emotional, the wizard has no problem dishing it like he sees it and calling an idiot an idiot. As a person, he is not able to be very subtle when it comes to his emotions, but he more the makes up for it with his unrelenting personality. Due to the massacre of his village and the subsequent feelings of impotency he felt that day, Leandros has a difficult time seeing women, children, or other innocents come to harm, sometimes to the point of unleashing unholy destruction upon whoever is responsible. With that being said, the wizard forms strong attachments to the few people he actually cares about and is able to hold a grudge for years against those who cause them harm. He is completely willing to sacrifice himself to his cause or to protect his friends, even if it damns his own soul afterward. Due to his years as a detective, Kostikos also has become able to pick up on other being's emotions with ease and pick lies apart from the truth.

Companion: Asmodeus-- Once upon a time a sorcerer of great power and knowledge, Asmodeus succumbed to the temptations of dark magic and sought to become immortal. After years of research and failed attempts, the Wizard Guild learned of his pursuit and set themselves to stop him. Panicking as he learned of this, Asmodeus used his energy for one last attempt, and soon found himself in excruciating pain as his body dissolved. When the Wizarding Officials found the house in which he had been hiding, they found no sign of the wizard other than his clothes and a golden ouroboros bracelet with startling green eyes. Although a pretty accessory, the wizards there found it to not be anything out of the ordinary and stored it away in the vault, where a young Leandros found it and learned how to unlock it's true potential. When released, Asmodeus takes the shape of a spiritual snake and serves as an adviser and fount of knowledge, trying to redeem himself from his past. Usually called forth when Leandros is trying to make a potion or think.
Abilities and skillsMartial Artist: After realizing that magic was not the solution to all his problems, Leandros once again began his regimen of hard physical training and hand to hand combat. Spending every moment in which he wasn't studying as a wizard in the dojo, the young man honed his abilities in hand to hand combat and is slowly improving in several disciplines of martial arts. He is also well-versed with bladed combat and the use of staves.
Evocation Affinity: When it comes to the down and dirty, Leandros has an incredible affinity to call forth powerful combat magic and powerful evocations. Quick on his feet and even quicker with his spell slinging, he has been ranked as one of the top combat wizards in the area, having a strong preference for ice magic. Although he has a prominent affinity with evocation and he has considerable brute force, when his emotions get the best of him he has a hard time controlling his strength.
Third Eye/The Sight: A trade mark ability for all wizards, The Sight allows a wizard to see the world as it truly is, on a magical and spiritual level, bypassing all veils and illusions and showing people and things as they truly are. Anything that is witnessed under the Third Eye is remembered perfectly, forever, which leads to reluctance to employ it, as it is often called on in situations to reveal evil, horrible supernatural harm, and the like, and the weight of such memories can cause significant mental stress over time.
Detective Skills: Over his years of experience as a private investigator, Kostikos has collected a wide array of skills most top private detectives have, some of which include: aptitude for grunt detective work, sources to call on, lockpicking, and the ability to put disparate pieces together into a recognizable plan to figure out what is actually going on.
WeaponsSpellwoven Leather Gauntlet: Generally worn on the Leandros’ left arm, this dark leather gauntlet was crafted by the wizard himself, inlaid with several glowing green glyphs and runes. When he wills his energy into it, the glove creates his "shield", which looks like a gelatinous green mass that decomposes things to their basest forms and decreases their kinetic force because of the friction. The shield is based on Entropy magic, a specialized use of water magic.
Hand-Carved Oak Staff: As per custom, Leandros carved his own staff out of a hundred year old oak with which he resonate. Six feet in length, the staff's head is carved with the traditional wizard runes that help the wizard channel himself through the focus. In other occasions, it has also been used as a club and a bat. Due to the magical forces running within it, the wooden staff is much tougher than your ordinary wooden apparatus
Energy-storing rings: A weapon of his own invention, these silver rings are enchanted to store a small fraction of kinetic energy into them at all times his arms move. These simple bands have runes carved on their insides, and are generally worn on four of his right hand's fingers. The blast of kinetic energy can either be released in a linear attack, or close range in physical contact.
Colt Bisley Revolver: An old human revolver, the Colt Bisley is certainly outdated weaponry for most people, but it's one of the only few weapons the wizard feels comfortable with. Due to the strong magical field around him, most very advanced technology seems to breakdown and not work around the wizard. This six chambered revolver, however, is simple enough that the old technology can even withstand his own field of energy and not deteriorate, and it packs quite a punch as well.

Personal HistoryBorn in a small village comprised mainly of farmers and soldiers, Leandros’ early childhood consisted of a lot of plowing fields and weapons practice. His father, once a prominent warrior retired due to a debilitating injury to his leg, taught him from early on that no gift comes without hard work, and that to succeed in life, he’d have to fight tooth and nail to climb to the top. His mother was a kind, hard working farmer that cared for her three children with all of her being, putting her family’s wellbeing over anything else. Through his first 10 or so years, the young man developed a daily routine, beginning his early mornings by taking care of the animals of the farms and the crops on their lands, and the afternoons training to be a soldier. . To Leandros, life could hardly get better at home, but deep in his heart he felt. . . Empty. Hollow. He felt as if he was but a shadow of he could be.
Several winters later, mere days after his sixteenth birthday, Leandros was ordered by the military chief of the village to join a small hunting group, tasked to bring forth the village some meat. After several weeks spent in the jungles, tracking and hunting the jungle beasts, the youth and the small band of hardened warriors he was with longed for nothing more than the smiles of their families and the embrace of those they loved. As they approached their small village, the sickly sweet scent that followed death seemed to surround them, repugnant and fresh. As the scent hit him, the young man rushed into the town with his blade in hand, eyeing the scene before him with horrified eyes.
The land before him, the place he once called home was ravaged by beasts of the netherworld, demons brought forth from twisted power and hatred. As his stomach lurched, the boy shook his head and moved toward the path that led to his farm, the sight before him made his blood run cold: The family he loved, the people who he looked up to and hoped to protect with his own life were killed, and not honorably so. Before him laid the corpses of his father and mother, of his brothers and sisters, and atop them were demons, gleefully tearing flesh apart as they feasted.
At that moment, the world stopped for the young man, and for several awful minutes he felt. . . Nothing. Time passed, and he watched the demons feed, and detachedly noted that one of them was charging toward him. As the demon leaped, and the boy felt its cruel claw biting on his face, the time seemed to return to him, and he felt one emotion. Hatred. A cold, seething hatred that seemed to overwhelm him and suddenly power poured out of him, and he knew no more.
Where the small village once had been was a gigantic mass of snow and frozen forms, and almost no one was found alive amidst the wreckage by the guild of Wizards, who felt the gigantic surge of energy and sent an envoy to investigate. For the next decade the young man undertook training as a wizard, learning how to control his power and channel it in several different ways. Even now, several years after he was taken in as an apprentice and left as a Master wizard he still seeks to learn what he can.
Years after his leaving of the Wizarding Guild where he was taught how to hone his craft, the man opened his own little office, working as a private investigator whenever he can and as a protector of those who cannot protect themselves against the supernatural.
