Name: La Joya De La Corona
Etymology: 'La Joya De La Corona' is spanish for The Crown Jewel . The ship was named by Captain Fernándo Rodriguez since 'La Joya De La Corona' was his jewel . He adored the ship and saw it as the eighth wonder of the world,as if the very wood was carved by angels . Unlike him,the other crew members just saw it as any old ship with a fancy name .

That person is the officer who ranks just below the Captain of the ship and takes over in the event that the Captain can no longer perform his duties. The Quartermaster had to be fair,loyal and in alot of cases,strict . The Quartermaster supervised the ship while the Captain was busy . He ordered the crew around and made sure the work and pay was equally distributed . The quartermaster was also the only man who could dole out punishment and informed the Captain of any important news or mishaps such as near by ships or if someone was being out of line on the ship . Basically he made sure everything was going well on the ship .

Boatswain (bos ´n) - Omsguld Leonaire

The Boatswain was in charge of a ship's anchors, cordage, colors, deck crew and the ship's boats, and would also be in charge of the rigging while the ship was in dock. He kept the ship afloat . The bos'n is often a petty officer. Within a pirate crew,a Bos'n would be right under the quartermaster.

ACabin boy was often a younge boy . He waits upon the other officers on the ship and in some ways was the captain's servant . He was brought up as a pirate and was an apprentice

A ship's carpenter was the man who kept the ship afloat, making necessary repairs, filling holes if need be, and so on. Carpentry was an extremely useful skill onboard ship and good carpenters were highly valued.

Historical:The ship was first founded by Captain Fernándo Rodriguez . Fernando started off as a gunner on 'The Sea Shadower',a quite old pirate ship . No one knows Fernando Rodriguez or his history before that except he joined when he was 15 as a cabin boy and rised through the ranks quite quickly . The captain was Captain Fredrick Anthony Gilbert,a crual man and terrible captain . He commited so many crimes to count and was one of the most feared pirate in the world . He scared his crew into obeying his every word but the crew had no back bone to stand up to him . One day on the ship,a friend of Fernando,Edward Tuit, a gunner was sick and was not up to working . Edward was to weak to barely move and fainted in the middle of the deck . The captain was informed by this and came out of his cabin,took out his belt and continuously whipped him right infront of the other crew members . Edward was even weaker so the Captain decided to get rid of him so he orded two men,both friends of Edward, to toss him of the boat . The two men were not happy about this at all but there was no way they could refuse the Captain and his even crueler quartermaster . Fernando was appalled and behind his back,organised a mutiney . The mutiney was sucessful and Fernando was voted Captain and Piere Corsaire,his friend became his first mate . They ruled The Sea Shadower for a year and while sailing in Genesaris waters,Fernando's eye caught a shipwreck on an unknown Island . He marvelled over the ship and all it's glory . There were no crew and no captain . The ship had been abandoned . Fernando claimed her as his own and renamed her 'La Joya De La Corona' ,spanish for The Crown Jewel . The ship was named since 'La Joya De La Corona' was his jewel . He adored the ship and saw it as the eighth wonder of the world,as if the very wood was carved by angels . Unlike him,the other crew members just saw it as any old ship with a fancy name . The crew switched ships . That was the birth of 'La Joya De La Corona' . Captain Fernando was a great leader with Piere Corsaire by his side . Fernando died at the age of 39 from unknown causes and his potition was taken over by Piere . The ship fought battles,discovered and quickly became known . One summer day,La Joya De La Corona came across a merchant ship with rum . They raided it and crew members were held hostage . A member of the crew found a cabin boy hiding away in forecastle . Little did they know it was a cabin GIRL . When the crew discovered the truth,they all laughed . All except the captain who just smiled in admiration ,which confused the crew . The girl's name was Johanna DeRose . She was adopted by Captain Corsaire adopted her and raised her up as his own,teaching here everything he knew . He built up her confidence,thought her the ways of a pirate and thought her how to fight like a pro until she could match up to any MAN on the crew .She later sucessed him and is now Captain DeRose of La Joya De La Corona .
