    Disillusioned [Open]

The low piercing wail cut through the air like a dying animal. It was a combination of pitiful and angry at the same time. Surely; elsewhere there had been those so broken as this before but at the same time, not so exactly as to feel what was being felt. There was a muttering of voices, each distinct and different from the last, each of it's own mind and personality. They spoke of many things, of how weak the thing was; putting it down while others lifted it up. But what was it?

It was a person, or what was left of one to be more accurate. It was dressed in the refinements of the 'East'; laden down in silver, gold, bronze and silks of many colors all revolving around a single central theme of lovely dark green mixed with gold and a little light tan. Long, somewhat matted but formerly beautiful dark hair cascaded down to frame a lovely face with absolutely haunted and blatantly shattered dark green eyes that flashed across a spectrum of madness, seeing without seeing.

It's body; while shapely was obviously abused to an extent, under the robes and the finery it could be told there was some form of neglect; mostly seeming to be self-inflicted and it didn't seem to care, the woman who was so lost in her own mind she couldn't care even if she wanted to.

There was crawling involved; neither dignified nor graceful as the original inhabitant of the effectively very destroyed mind would have wanted, the wailing continued; indistinguishable from proper language; there was none. Then the movement stopped, and the conversations which were as clear as spoken words, and the wailing stopped.

It all just stopped as she ceased in movement, tired out; or exhausted it was hard to tell which. She just lay there in the end, breathing shallow fast breaths. A conglomeration of tears at the corners of her eyes beginning to pour down her face. In the background there was a horse that neighed softly, ultimately ignored by it's shattered, disillusioned owner who lay there in the dust sobbing.

OOC: Not sure how you can enter, but I'm all for any number of people just popping in, honestly. This is more subpar than I wanted, my apologies.

The days work was perfect, almost too easy for one of her stature. The bounty had been too easy to catch, and their begging to keep their life was priceless. Most of those who were wanted by others were worth more alive, and this one made things go way smooth. The chase was almost exciting, though it came to an end too quickly when she launched herself over the make shift wall to find that person cornered. Patting the bag she carried with her reward, she just smirked to herself. Glancing up she heard the loud roar of the engines of an airship flying over head, the sound was loud enough due to it's low flying to drown out the sound of some wailing. As the ship passed over head the sound fading with it's distance, Cy catches the end of a wail.

Dropping her hand lightly to her hip, she paused in mid step. Just outside of the town, she knew that not many would hear what she heard. Only travelers in the area might catch the sound, though most people traveled by airship or other means of faster transportation. Popping one of the many throwing daggers on her arms up out of it's sheathes, she held the hilts tightly in the palms of her hands readying for any sort of confrontation.

Oddly enough the sound of a horse perked Cy's attention, the first thing she caught sight of while moving around some of the brush and tall grass. "Odd.." Speaking softly to herself, she eyed the horse carefully. It wasn't unusual for someone to use something like a horse as bait to attack and rob a passerby. Slowly making her way towards the beast, she would flex her fingers lightly over the hilts of her throwing knives. Awareness was key for her, and to keep herself safe from the other bastards that were willing to take her bounty from her.

The scene that played out was one less of drama and more so of tragedy in Shakespearean terms. While the horse stood off nickering; whining loudly when the horrendous sound of one of those vulgar airships passed over head; the half-living, very mental person didn't move. Or at least not in the traditional fluid sense that was movement. Her head turned in one of those horror-type fashions, hair splaying over her face and hiding majority of her features while her not-seeing cracked eyes tried to center on what had come into her unique world.

What any other normal person would have seen, she didn't see. It was questionable indeed if she could see at all; whether in traditional or abstract sense. Come to find out; in the following few seconds whatever was within her very well could see and well; the voice that escaped her vocals was neither notably feminine nor very attractive. Baritone and almost barking in tone it had a ragged sort of edge about it. "What is this...Thing; then? That dares to interrupt us in our game?"

As if that weren't creepy enough, another voice erupted a few seconds later, this one very much feminine, sultry and possessive. "Oh yes, what is it indeed? Such a pretty little thing..."

Admist the talking in the few sparse seconds of silence the other sound was that of broken sobbing, hardly lasting long enough to exist at all.

The unnatural voices that erupted for the girls mouth most definitely got Cy's attention, she took a sudden step away from the horse. Grey violet hues fell to the woman that laid on the ground, her body twitching and moving in the most grotesque ways. Sliding one of the blades she had pulled from her wrist back into it's place, she walked towards the possessed woman. Studying her clothing, and her looks she could tell she was from the east.

Smirking she could sense much wasn't right, though she was intrigued enough to kneel near the woman. Letting the tip of her throwing knife hit the ground lightly, she would trace it's tip lightly in the dirt while her eyes rested on the woman's face. "Game? What sort of game have I interrupted?" Curiosity definitely could be heard in her voice, but there was so much more to it with Kalista.

Reaching with her free hand lightly brushing hair from the woman's face, she kept her eyes moving over her. It was hard to tell what she would do next with the possession, the beings could do some major damage if wanted. Pretty little thing? with the words of the second voice, she just erupted in laughter. Those words just amused her no matter who they came from, Cy always had a rough outlook on herself. Always covered in dirt and others blood, nice words weren't always said even in such mockery.

The girl; whether knowingly or not flinched visibly when Cy touched her hair. Recoiling away as much as possible, as though forcibly struck. Apparently not all of the abuse was self-inflicted. A pause followed; uncomfortable and tense almost before one of the voices answered, though it was neither of the previous ones.

This one was softer; extremely logical like would be found belonging to a scholar; notably masculine but not very rough. "My dear girl; go with the obvious here. They're tormenting her because they think it's funny." As the other one laughed, she remained silent, or more so they all remained silent.

The reprieve did not last long however before one of them responded to the laughter; this voice was far different from the rest; it sounded well, natural, feminine soft and noticeably broken-spirited. "W-what's so goddamn funny t-then?"

Intrigued by what was going on, Cy just stood from where she was kneeling. Looking back to the woman's horse, she just closed herself into a quiet state. Sheathing the blade left in her one hand, she took a step away from the woman. There were so many different options she had before her, choosing the one that felt right to her was key. Easily she could take herself a horse and leave the woman to lie in the dirt with her demons, or take the woman to a person of the cloth or whatever to exercise such demons.. Countless options laid before her, even just finishing her so she wouldn't suffer much more.

Walking to the horse Cy reaches out with her right hand to touch the beasts head lightly, letting her fingers slide over it's soft fur. Her hand slid around to grab the reins around the animals head, and began to lead it towards the woman who laid on the ground. Not sure how the horse would react to the woman's possession, she was determined to find a way to take the woman back into town. Just get her some help, and then continue on her way to gather bounties, and assassinate others for a price.

(OOC: short post, sorry couldn't get more out..)

The horse didn't actually seem that uncomfortable around the girl as it was brought over to her. It displayed the exact opposite of skittishness or fear, nosing the girl's head after it lowered it's own, a sign of concern in the only way the animal could portray such things. One of the girls very thin hands came up and patted the beast lightly on the snout most likely unknowingly, as she portrayed no other sort of interest in the beast; her head rocking lightly when it pushed it's cranium against her own.

There was a silence emanated from her; as though the various personas were thinking, or as if they simply weren't interested in speaking anymore, even the sobbing had ceased at least for the time being.

OOC: Late, and too short for comfort; apologies.

The reaction of the horse was kind of surprising to Cypher, but it meant good things for her. Watching the girls slender hand reach up and touch the horse in a loving way meant many good things, though it didn't mean that those who were tormenting her had not gone away. Letting go of the reins of the horse, Cy moved to the girl once more. Kneeling down she would lightly touch the girls arm, curious to the reaction she would get once more. Shaking her head "However this goes down, I have to move you..." Who was she even speaking to? It honestly didn't matter, all she knew was others would be traveling the same path she did.

Shifting her weight to face the girl, she slid her arms under her lower back to pull the girl to a sitting position. Sliding one of her knees to the ground and the other bent, she would use her own weight has leverage to throw the slender girl over her shoulders. Taking in a deep breath, she would close her eyes for just a brief moment. 'Make if fast CY!!' Letting out the breath, she pushed with her legs to a standing position. Having thrown her arms up to hold the girl, she took a few steps closer to the horse. "Okay, lets get her on you...." Not exactly made of super human strength, Cypher did her best to slide the girl over the saddle that laid on the beasts back. Adjusting her in a way to try and keep her from sliding off, Cy let a deep sigh leave her after the weight of the girl was off her shoulders.

Moving around to grasp the reins of the horse once more, she glanced back to the girl. Determined to get the girl to a room at an Inn without any trouble, Cy began her journey into the small town they laid right outside of.

Offset in her tiny world the girl remained silent for the moment, idly pale hands plucked at air. They were touching nothing yet feeling some odd thing or the other within her shattered mind. The various personas that took refuge within her were for the time being, quiet. It was evident that for the time being the cruel ones had had their demented fun, their sick amusement appeased; allowing this reprieve. A small lap of partial-sanity, enough to look out and see the reality trying to break through into the fantasy, but then disappearing behind the raging gale once more. She took no notice of their movement because of this never ending system of reality versus the fantasy, no possibility of lifting her head and one day proclaiming she was fine, there were simply these little moments; and they were nice; to a point.

Glancing back to the woman who laid across her horse, Cy just watched as she reached out for things that were not visible to her. It had seemed she was at a peaceful moment with the chaos that was happening within her own reality. Looking forward, Cy saw a group of men walking towards them, they definitely didn't have a friendly look about them. Keeping her eyes forward, she pulled the horse in step with her. The men were laughing about something, one would say something so vile and each other would chime in with something to go with the conversation.

As the men got closer, she recognized the large fat one as Chubbs. Who knew why they called him that, but she tried to avoid eye contact with him. The last encounter she had with him, he was trying to take her bounty from under her nose. Switching sides with the horse, she did her best to hide from him. It wasn't that she was scared, but it was always a waste of time talking with that man.

Seong, as expected took no notice of the people crossing paths with them. She didn't even notice when Cy shifted sides and tilted down to avoid eye contact with one or more of them. No; whatever their intent, good or bad most likely if they acted on it they'd probably only really get a fight from the other woman, as the other was concentrating on what was real or not to herself. Her little paradise couldn't be interrupted easily; either, so it really would've been a pitiful show. (Short, Late; sorry.)

Speeding up her pace, Cy pulled the horse closer to her. The men continued forward without noticing her, but she could only be so lucky. There were many more to run into, and not as many as weak as Chubbs. So far the woman had stayed pretty quiet for the ride into town, though Cy wasn't sure what she was going to do with this woman. Would she stay with her or continue on with her missions and well her profession?

The seemingly never ending dirt path lead into the town, people were moving throughout the streets to different little carts and shops here and there. Cy nodded to a few of those who moved past her, and continued forward through the crowds. The sun had moved high above them, it's rays beating down on their skin. Down the road a ways laid a worn down looking Inn and bar, but the place was always kept up with by the owners.

Clicking her tongue against her teeth, she tugged the horse more to the left out of the way of a few moving carts. Keeping her pace, she was determined to get the woman to a bed to rest in. Then it was off to find a doctor, or even someone who specialized in possession.
