Thought I'd post a few pics of the different sorts of jewelry that I make. Some of these are for sale on my jewelry blog, others are gifts that I've handed out to friends/family. Comments and critiques are most definitely welcome.

Made this with red, black, and crackled clear glass beads, two metal heart pendants, velvet rope, metal chain and silver-plated lobster claw fasteners. I spent about an hour and a half making it. The part I hated the most was attaching the velvet rope to the metal fastenings. My fingers kept cramping up and the crimper didn't want to work correctly. Overall, kinda pleased with how this turned out. The necklace itself is approximately 18" but is adjustable up to 20".

These were pretty easy to make. I only spent about a half hour making them. Alternating posts of black and red seed beads on antiqued earring hooks.

Made these with amber, white swirled amber, and amber pearl-like glass beads then wrapped them in silver-plated wire on silver-plated hooks. The earrings are about 1.5". The thing I had the most trouble with was actually wrapping them with the wire in a way that they matched one another and remained stationary within the wire wrap itself. Absolutely love these, though.

Instead of tossing out some old magazines, I created these paper beads. Three coats of clear varnish provides the glossy finish you see and each bead is approximately an inch long. A lot of people who handcraft their own jewelry would much rather purchase these than make them because, quite simply, they're rather tedious to make but they're great for bracelets and earrings.

Pink and black star-shaped glass beads with black metal chains on antiquated metal. About an inch long. These were huge sellers at my jewelry booth and most, if not all, of the customers who bought them were teen girls.

I very much like the amber colored earrings.

Painted wood, acrylic, metal, and glass beads on silver-plated findings and black velvet rope. I'm sorta liking the velvet rope. Anyway, this necklace is about 12" and uses a silver-plated toggle clasp. Took me almost two hours to make.

I think I ruined about 100 or so beads before I finally realized -wait a minute..there's gotta be a better way!- and then talked to my step-dad who recommended the varnish. While they can't be submersed in water for long periods of time, they are rather sturdy and won't fall apart of someone gets caught out in the rain.

I'm also in the midst of making customized paper beads. A friend of mine gave me some music sheets and is paying me to turn those into beads. When I'm done, I'll post up a picture. They're looking rather prettiful, if I do say so myself. =D

I made these this morning. Simple hoops of black suede adorned with a single carved wooden bead. Wrapped in stainless steel and set on silver-plated wire hooks.

I knotted these dainty blue glass beads on thin strands of cream colored hemp cord and attached them to silver-plated wire hooks.
