    Fresh Beginning:New Life (CW Base)

(Take in mind this thread is a continuation of our first meeting. )

As members stepped through the portal, their bodies would be illuminated by thousands of watts of light. Light blinding those who tried to keep their eyes open, the pure essence of not understanding what was taken place would confuse those fresh bodies stepping through. Only seconds of light would blind and just as quickly as it came, although it seemed like minutes, those new members would visibly see bright green foliage and tall palm trees directly in front of them.

A warm breeze would grab everyone's attention along with the sound of breaking waves. If heads turned around, the coastline would barely be visible through the mass of shrubbery. Unless each member took the time to walk to the waters edge they would miss the beautiful coral reef closely beneath the ocean.

Only thing more noticeably than the bright, lively life around them would be the breaking of the ocean. While the beach seemed calm and relaxed, beyond the protection of the jagged rocks that took the blunt of the ocean's furry was an immense world of hard suffering.

This was the main base for the members. As each new person stepped through the crossroads, they would be greeted by no one. Only other human life form on this base were those workers who had built the mansion that dwelled deep within the dense mangrove forest, but by now, those workers were long gone. Only way for now was by air-ship.

As others stepped through, it was up to them;wait on Keldorl or find their own ways.

Chapter One (The Surface of Things)

Blinded light had temporarily eradicated all vision. It was so bright that nothing was seen but the vicious wattage that left their hues inept from anything but the villainous glow and its eerie, destitute and lifeless command. Confusion and fear had forced the trio to trust in each other; in spite of their dissension against each other. Then the sound of the ocean had given them hope. Dezus felt his faded crimson hues move in that direction. His winsome ears flickered and he studied this atmosphere in silence. Slowly the light started to diminish and their eyes would adjust to the landscape around them.

“We shouldn’t have trusted this…this rothe. Let me kill him.” Yeugar said to break the silence.

All Dezus could see was the seconds of light until his eyes managed to find somewhat of a visual prestige. This light made things worst for him and Yeugar considering that they were creatures who had come from years of subjugation in the Underdark. The average sun would have made their eyes instantly weak. Thus for Jack Rorak, the traitor human was already scouting ahead in the murky scrubs. He moved fast through the tall foliage and trees around him only to be tackled down by Yeugar aggressively. She used her strong legs to agilely wrap around his throat and choke him roughly. Jack was unable to move now. He fought and kicked with the soles of his boots—thus in his inept struggle, his face only became pink.

The human pirate felt his eyes getting glossy and his air disabled from his very lungs.

“Why did you lie to us?” She hissed with perspiration seeming down her forehead.

Yeugar’s long stringy hair was dirty blonde and she had tattoos in the henna style that had been her slave marks on the right side of her face all the way down to her toes. Her weapon was two scimitars and she unsheathed one now to hold it close to Jack’s suffocating visage. Dezus now stood by to observe this fight. Yeugar was expecting him to answer, shouting and chewing on his ear with hatred. Jack screamed feeling the blood leak down his ear and nose from the choke hold.

    “Enough!” Dezus finally interceded.

Yeugar slowly released him. The human collapsed on the ground to cough blood and find air. He rubbed his neck and his long brown hair was mangled with scrub and dirt.

“Fucking bitch! Control her, Dezus. You are an honorable drow. Do not lose such reputua by allowing your cunt… ” Jack was cut off from his words.

Within seconds Yeugar sliced Jack’s face with the hilt of her scimitar and felt his crimson splash her comely face.

“Control your tongue! And do not test my patience rothe. Dezus can not see all and believe me when you sleep I will find you.” She growled out her words.

Jack fell backwards after the strike and the hilt broke his nose. He laughed and coughed.

“And when you find me, come without your panties.” He jested.

Yeugar was prepared to run her sword through him, then she felt Dezus’s strong arms wrap under her and pull her back, while he puffed his weed pipe so calmly.

“We need to find out where we are. He is not worth it. Let him die in his infantilism.” The Kapellmeister said to let her be still.

    Yeugar said nothing more.

    Jack looked like shit.

Dezus was prepared to wait for any sign of life. The anti-life around them made this challenging, but normal for these assassins. The interesting thing now about these Adventurers was their status with each other. Would they pull together to find life or will they kill each other in the process? Dezus was headed toward the shore where he knew he would find some kind of valuable resource. Yeugar followed. Jack in his disposition did the same.

Lilian immediately moved off to the side of where she came in, perhaps not as far as she would have liked before the meals she had that day came heaving out. It took a few moments but afterwards felt a lot better. She had no intentions of taking that kind of traveling again.

Grabbing some leaves, she wiped her face off before turning around and getting a look at what she had just stumbled into. The only thing she could think of was how beautiful it all looked. As she looked around the sight of unfamiliar people quickly caught her eye. She knew they hadn’t been at the tavern, but were they part of the Crimson Wings previously recruited?

Not knowing the answer, she carefully reached out to touch their minds and find the thoughts that were on their minds at the time. The thought had also occurred to her about the same time her mind connected with the girl’s that perhaps this was an ambush.

It would be easy for someone to set up a trap with a name like Crimson Wings reaching out for recruits. People would gather their belongings and their best items to begin an adventure, all the while believing the first person who came along to say they were the leader of Crimson Wings and if they wanted to join they only had to pass through a portal to a place of no return.

Lilian quickly scanned the minds of the three but remained discreet about the whole thing. As soon as she had finished, she opened her mind to scan the area around for minds that might be out be hiding in wait for an ambush.

The whole time she did this, she continued to look around as if the three people were part of the scenery.

Draco had step foot outdoors, pushing forward with the others. As he watched the woman known as Lilian pass through the portal; the young man lifted a brow wondering what lurked on the other side of this mysterious gateway, was it an ambush? Better yet was it a world full of violence and carnage? All these little factors passed through Draco's head, the young boy inhaled and step foot through the gateway. Almost instantly he was blinded by rays of light, momentarily all the gentleman could see were many lines and tons of haziness. Draco rubbed his eyes, before opening them to one of the most beautiful scenes that his eyes had ever seen.

After minutes of awe the young man took a few steps forward towards Keldorl, placing his hand against his chest the boy would speak.

    "Where..where are we?"

He stuttered as the words passed through his peach hued lips, the gentle boy continued to move forward admiring the Ocean, shrubbery as well as the many surroundings. Of course Draco wasn't only admiring this area, he was searching and making sure that the defenses of this specific unknown area were strong. It wouldn't be very wise to have a base that was unprotected, of course from what he observed there seemed to be a field of sorts located as far as the eye could see, it was fascinating.

Who was powerful enough to create a field of this magnitude?

Of course although the Field was extremely large, it wasn't invincible. There were quiet a few weak points within certain areas, of course those with a normal eye wouldn't notice just those who were taught in the arts of barriers, which Draco was a master of. Draco may not have been the strongest boy physically, but mentally and ability wise, he surpassed quiet a few members. Turning those cerulean hues from the sky he would face down back towards his surrounding members carefully counting and waiting for the others to pass through the portal.

    It was amazing.

    It was beautiful.

    It was home.

Waiting while everyone went through the portal, Keldorl gave a quick sigh of relief. It was starting to look like everything was working out toward the best. The journey down this long and unknown tale would be an adventure of a life time. This was his chance to finally make an impact on the lives of others.

With the last person through a gold coin was tossed to a tiny, mustache looking man.

"You know what to do once I step through, correct?"

The man nodded and spoke softly, "Yes. And with watchers around, no issues will arise."

With a nod to the gentleman, the white haired knight stepped into the portal along with his attractive companion Killa and allowed the white blinding light consume all that they were. The small man sighed once they were gone and began his task. Raising his hands toward the slit in the air, purple, black, and blue streams locked on the portal. The small man began humming while he worked to close this gateway. The colors quickly wrapped around the portal constricting it of its power.

Stepping forward with his left foot a green light sprung from his foot zapping the other colors creating a zap sound. The colors gone, the portal closed and sent off into the world of Genesaris, the small wizard turned and walked away as if nothing magical had occurred.

Within a flash of a lifetime, the two would materialize on the island as with the others. While some went ahead to the mansion, others had stayed around to contemplate their existence here.

He smiled at the young boy who spoke to Keldorl,"An island I found on my way here. Believe me took some effort to find what I needed in a place. As for that odd gravity feel of the force field, that's actually the presence of the mansions field not the natural one. Closer we get to the mansion, the stronger the sensation."

The journey from the portal toward the ocean bed could not seem any longer. It was almost like an eternity and they had only hiked for a mile, still so far from the ocean itself—thus the smell of salt water, which was the only life before them, intrigued their endeavors to hike forth. The cool breeze cooled down the fire in their hearts. In their weariness they had indeed become a part of this hoary yet peaceful scenery. Then Dezus noticed something in the distance. He could not make out the structure clearly and he was not sure if it was a tavern or a mansion. But whatever it was he knew that life would exist there or at least it would be stability from the wild. Hopefully it would give them an answer to where they were. The Kapellmeister halted. The intense breeze tickled the drow’s face and his long white hair flickered back and forth around his handsome visage. His spider silk ebony cloak did the same like tendrils moving around olive skinned muscles. He puffed his sweat weed through the long ivory pipe—faded crimson hues watching this scene and catching his wind of smoke.

Jack collapsed on the scrub, his face covered in perspiration and blood. Yeugar stood tall beside Dezus letting the sweat fall from her pale tattooed face and the natural juices of the uterus that seamed through her tight fitted leather leggings. No words were said and Dezus was well aware of the empathy that tried to seize his mind. Being brought up in the Underdark for many years as Sashie’s protector he had trained to guard himself from mental attacks. But he would let her have his mind, considering he needed some kind of communication with those who knew this land.

Before he offered his mind to her, Jack and Yeugar where the most vulnerable mentally and for such, it was easier for the empath to find their thoughts first.

‘Why does he let this man live? We should kill him. Fuck him. He is weak. He is liability. He is rothe.’ She glanced at Jack but said nothing. Her frown was evident enough of her hatred.

Jack sat there out of breath his lungs barely working through his torn body. He was in the worst shape from the halflings beating. All he could think was:

‘Kill me already you weasel faced fucker,’ He breathed heavy with wheezing but said no words. ‘Fucking kill me.’ He glanced upward at Yeugar. ‘But you can’t can you? Haha. You are weak. You pose as fearless but it was your weakness that trusted my plan. You are truly the cattle…a cattle that craves my human mind. Foolish slave girl, I will have your life before you have mines.’ Jack thought.

“Stop looking at me.” Yeugar hissed softly.

Jack said nothing and turned his gaze from her to look at the structure they were studying instead.

Then Dezus made his thoughts clear to the empath, the only one who knew she was here as he sensed her magic trying to break through his dark arts of defense.

‘SUFFERING.’ ‘SLAVERY.’ ‘SUBJUGATION.’ ‘SILENCE you damsel feign you…you mindless freak. You abomination. Can’t you do anything right Dezus? You are a curse to our ancient name. A gangrene to our drowish existence. Come here, give me a hug you fucking coward. Let me love you and remind you of why my vinery was long desired. You had it all before you betrayed me! You weakling. I am Matron you are my subject, remember your place. Kill them both and avenge your only mother. ’

The thoughts yelled at the woman reading his mind—almost in a mental attack. Albeit this attack was something that would strike her seat of emotions. It would make her feel and understand what she was dealing with and how dangerous the Kapellmeister’s craft was. Slithering was heard in the empath’s mind almost like a deadly snake, then more silence.

‘How could you let her kill me? How could you betray me like this? I gave you my sex and my power. I watched you grow into a man.’ The voice was a females that was in his head and it was almost like a haunting to his own dilapidated soul. The empath also would hear this.

Dezus shuddered and then shut his mind off from him and her both. His hands were squeezed tight into a fist until blood seamed from his fingers due to the nail impact in his flesh. He opened his eyes and his hands and the wind of the sea calmed his soul once more.

“Let us move, then. We are losing light.” Dezus said to lead them toward the tall structure.

Yeugar waited for Jack to get back to his feet. When he did she made sure the rothe walked in front of her, shoving him with the hilt of her scimitar to insure this.

“As you wish my lord.” Was Yeugar’s only words.

Then there was a flash in the distance that made all three assassins unsheathe their weapons. Jack pulled for his golden crafted sabre. Yeugar pulled for her other scimitar and Dezus removed his woe dagger (that had circulating green veins in the black crafted steal) from his sheath only to hear voices coming from behind them.

“Change of plans then boss?” Jack coughed blood with a grinned grimace.

Dezus ignored the bloody faced pirate moving toward the direction of the leader and whoever he heard him speaking with. Hues of blood watched this scene wondering what they were up against. But the magic he felt was powerful and the noise had drew their attention from nearly a ¼ mile away.

Soon a dark and demented voice was upon those who entered in this land last.

“It is a perfect evening to die for stability.” These dark words carried over the wind still no visage or image visible.

Dezus was now physically camouflaged in his spider silk cloak and his companions were hidden beneath the tall withered scrubs.

“Say you come with answers other then challenge? For that mansion lies wait. If it is owned then I will depart from it, thus if you are a pilgrim like us prepare to die for this simple cause of stability.” Dezus said in his piracy; thus he spoke with a calm voice, that was non-threatening if the question was answered honestly. It was all about survival and if the place was unclaimed he would take it.

Faded crimson hues now studied the pressure points of the white haired knight and his attractive companion. Yeugar and Jack both held their blades ready to engage also should Dezus act and the man answer wrongly.

Yeugar was about 500 yards away seeing Dezus move like the wind toward his destination. Because of this she had resheathed her twin scimitar blades to pull out a small Dökká Varta seed. She spat on the seed and it expanded—only to reveal a white golden bow with a sack of fire arrows of burning. She held it upright to aim it intricately at the attractive companions face. Jack was more melee and moved in closer about 50 yards from the scene watching Dezus' back—he was chuckling his own blood with his merciless gaze upon those he watched.

'I should just cut this bloody drow down and side with the humans.' Jack grinned deviously in thought. Sickly he shook his demented head in confusion. Saliva dripped from his mouth murderously and villainously. The empath would hear these thoughts and see his disposition. But Jack shook off the treachery and would follow the drow for now. "No, Jack..." He smacked the side of his thick head.

Indeed the mercenary would go in hard with loyalty should things turn bad, but like all pirates they hoped this would turn out decent and done in a diplomatic understanding. The most twisted thing about this small trio of adventures was that even though they wanted to kill each other inwardly, outwardly they still pulled together when the time was dire. They were all they had left. Everything from the outside world was cut off from them.

Lilian was starting to quickly dismiss the idea that these people were somebody to be concerned about at this time. Two of them were more focused on the death of the human man than setting any type of ambush. When she turned to their companion though things changed. It was as if he knew she was trying to get in.

He had a defense to her efforts, but it was just like a thin membrane. You push just a little and it bursts letting the two worlds collide. What was on the other side of that barrier was something completely different though. The harsh words lashed at her own mind causing her to want to retreat but the thought still remained, ‘why?’ Why? Were these thoughts what haunted this man’s mind? Did he constantly think such shattering words?

She was almost bent to the hatred that filled the first part when the next came. Now she was unsure which was worse. The pain echoed through her as it did him and then…it was gone. She now knew the man was aware of her the whole time. And he simply opened a slight door to allow her to become curious and then slammed it shut as if there was never a door in the first place.

She watched as the trio prepared to move away, leaving her completely unnoticed by all but whom appeared to be the leader. Her scans had proved fruitless for the time being as well. So now she just waited for the three to move far enough away.

Off in the distance she took notice of the flashes too, but she had an idea of who it might be. Once the three strangers moved on she walked away from her spot and followed the path that looked to be leading to a building. She would go up there and find her way about at least till the others arrived as well. Than they might find more that she had missed.

Killa smiled at the boy who spoke to Kel, it was interesting to see him interact with those who had passed through the portal. She had yet to speak to anybody but Kel at the moment, and would not yet speak until she was sure of everybody. She was not so much as Shy after all looks at the way she had met Kel, she just wanted to get to know everybody better so she could place them. It was her job kind of as second in command, 'Mother' if you will to the 'family', so she wanted to make sure they were position in the 'family' where they would best be suited.

She liked the place Kel had picked for them to use as their home but the magic was getting to her giving her a little bit of a headache which made her grumpy, she just wanted to get to the mansion even though it was the cause of the magic emanation and was giving her the headache, many magic’s did and she was used to it but this was more powerful than most.

She noted the girl heading towards their new home and smiled, she would do well, she had the will to forge her own way, to try and make it on her own. As she was thinking about the girl she heard the voice speak of the mansion and of walking away if it was claimed. "The mansion is claimed it, It is our home" She moved closer to Kel putting her arms around his waist and smiling up at him. “But there is no need to leave." Her voice was soft sweet almost, and she was looking around for the source of the voice. “Show yourself and we might speak more on the options”

Killa did not look to Kel for direction in this, just took it upon herself to invite them to join Crimson Wings, after all they were here on the home base anyway and if they knew where they lived could cause problems in the future. “I am called Killa.” She waited hoping the voice would step out of whatever shadows he was in and speak with her and Kel, a man who could hid himself like he was would make a wonderful addition to the group.
I close my eyes and this image floats beside me, a sweat tooth madman with a stare that pounds my brain. His hands reach out and choke me and all the time he’s mumbling, mumbling truth, truth like a blanket that always leaves your feet cold. You push it Stretch it, it will never be enough, you kick at it beat it; it will never cover any of us. From the moment we enter crying to the moment we leave dying it will just cover your face as you wail and cry and scream.

(HEY. I'm back sorta. I'ma post.)

Keldorl smiled at Killa and taken aback by her movements around his shirtless waist. No matter though for he was well aware of the trio scoping out who he was along with where this place was. With a hefty smile and a shimmering voice, Keldorl took a few steps forward placing himself in front of Killa for safety assurance and his as well.

"She is most right. You are most welcome to join but heed my warnings. You are on my element as of now and I frown upon threats towards others." His noble nature was to protect those under him as well as anyone who could not defend themselves.

"The chances of either three of you attacking and succeeding is rare indeed. As long as you are either touching mother nature or within her vicinity, I will not play nice. However...." His pitch changed, no loudness or aggressive nature, his natural calm voice switched places.

"If fighting is not what you seek, your more than welcome...." His left hand extended for the modern shake between two acquaintances. Only his left though, his right remained wary in case of a potential aggressive maneuver.

His mind ever vigilant ready to send sand and rock to capture the three quickly and demolish their essences. His trust was large and he sensed no direct threat from those in front of him.

Faded crimson Hues watched everything around him, still camouflaged by his chameleon cloak. The power and the authority that the two stood with, was expected. When the woman came in front to speak of her position first, Dezus watched her. Her voice was sweeter then what he assumed it would be, but that did not mean weakness to the drow. He had seen some women in the Underdark who tore through flesh like sword to quail and spoke as soft as a lamb. So the mansion was claimed, he listened. He was prepared to leave; then when she said there is no need to leave, such shenanigans made his white brow rise. When she said to ‘show yourself’ he did not feel threatened so he applied.

“Very well,” he said with a grim voice.

His ebony blade went back in his side sheath and he pulled the hood from over his face and his image would return to them. He was only a small slender male, with a body like iron. The cloak moved around his muscular chest like tendrils of hissing madness. His olive skinned visage was boyish yet his voice as strong as one who served in legions and armies. He took in the woman’s name and smiled. Then when the man spoke up and stood to protect the female, who comfortably laid her arms around him, he frowned to hear his words and his warnings.

“Join what? Speak of these options.” Dezus looked at the both of them, “I am a pilgrim, and we work alone.” He already knew the man spotted his companions from his words. So then Dezus would make them all known. “Jack, Yeugar, lower your arms!”

Jack moved closer, with a dirty grin of disgust and retort—blood still leaked from his facial wounds and he sheathed his golden sabre with blood lust in his gaze. But he said nothing; he just watched the drow converse with these two new faces, who spoke of joining their cause. But the human knew Dezus was smart enough to make the greater and wiser compliance for them, even though inwardly the rogue pissed on their entire race.

Yeugar sheathed her long bow and sprinted closer, now beside Dezus and the human pirate. She smiled sweetly and bowed to the two humans that spoke to her master.

Dezus never left the man’s gaze who heeded him warning, thus he was more impressed by the one empath who read his mind prior. He wanted more of her, but she had headed for the mansion. He then looked at Killa who offered her name. He would not be rude and so he offered his for the sake of her good manners.

“Dezus Barra Ib’ahalii,” He said with a roll of his tongue in the exotic pronunciation, “And we only fight when we need to. Thus since you offer us no threats, we will take your kindness and move along.” Dezus said.

Then Yeugar interceded having the good elven ears and hearing everything from afar. She rolled the long stringy hair from around her face and her tattoos were exposed as comely and elegant:

“Wait, do tell us of your cause?” Yeugar said to the man who offered them no name.

She was hoping to at least learn of their reasons and values. Dezus frowned on this, but would be patient and listen as well. Jack licked the blood from his lips and looked out of it, but he listened while plotting his treachery. It was only a matter of time before they made out of here. Working with the drow for months made him become more vile then the average human, but this man needed a medic.

"Ib'ahalii d' for the glory of Eilistraee."
