"That smell....so familiar. Where am I?"
The world slowly came into view, though clouded by a haze of hellfire and twisted metal. Despite the obstacles which seemed hellbent on obscuring the world around it, the being managed to make out several trees beyond the raging orange flames. Yet something was off....something that had never been observed before. The world was turned upside down. Truly something that was not to occur often, and were the situation a lighter one it might even appear humorous. This was not the case however, and as the entity slowly attempted to upright itself it found the problem.
"I see...."
It appeared that the arrival had torn the being asunder. Various portions of its' armor lay scattered about in a large crater that now scarred the landscape. A problem indeed, but not one that could not be fixed in a short period of time. In an attempt to organize these events the being focused its' mental energy. For several seconds nothing seemed to happen. But something did happen, and it did so all at once. As if taken by several invisible hands and placed together perfectly, the armor pieces lifted and flew into a humanoid shape that was now standing upright. Flame burst from betwixt the segments and appeared to pull and link the portions together. It was here that the physical appearance of the creature could be truly seen.
Standing at a full height of six feet and four inches, the being was nothing more than a suit of armor filled by an inhabitant that seemed to be made of flame. His armor formed of a material known as Titanite, and inside had been decorated by all manner of engravings. Enchantments, Runes, so many various defenses to protect the armor from being easily destroyed. The armor itself was very humanoid in appearance, save for the two horns that protruded from the top left and right of the helm before going straight upwards towards the sky for a good foot or so. As if a flaming suit of armor were not enough, the most striking feature would certainly draw the most attention. This would be the eye socket, an area that had been designed to allow sight. Behind this area was a writhing mass of flame, and yet within this flame were two balls of white fire. Eyes perhaps, or maybe this was just a way to appear more human. Whatever the reason was the fact still remained that looking into the eyes would seem to make your body grow cold. Ironic.
Adding the finishing touches, the suit of armor drew in its' blade and shield. A typical looking longsword, save for the few engravings upon the blade. The shield too had engravings upon it yet looked typical as well. Neither had any elaborate embellishments upon them, as they were weapons of war rather than a decoration. Now, with all of the being assembled it turned its focus towards more important issues.
"I went through the portal....awoke here. Judging by the state of the forest and my own body I fell from the sky. The forest is burning down and that will take care of any inhabitants. I should leave towards the most inhabited location."
With a rough plan formulated in the consciousness of the entity it began to stir. Slowly one heavy metallic foot lurched forward and fell upon the charred soil below. Then the other limb followed suit, and soon the armor walked as naturally as any normal human being would. With a giant leap it came from within the crater that had been an entire two feet above its' head. It landed and then slowly began to walk forward with its' sword and shield in hand. It knew not where it was going, yet it could sense faint traces of life far in the distance. It was a feeling that humanity gave off, yet this was a different feeling than it was accustomed to. In the end it mattered not, as the outcome would be the same. Though what this outcome was, only the entity would know. And with that it slowly disappeared within the flame that engulfed the once mighty behemoths that sprang up from the flesh of Gaia.
