The image of the Knight running towards him with blade drawn momentarily fazed Syl. What?! how'd he get here?! Syl had forgotten about the knight, his attention totally focused on the fallen one. He'd attributed his lack of awareness of the presence of the knight to the fact that he's almost dead on his feet. "Smoke, can you stop him? "If, by 'stop', you mean delay, sure.." Good, do it "Sagittarius!"

At Syl's command, Smoke's shadowy tendrils shifted from above the fallen one's arms and wings, and swiftly moved towards the running knight, forming a web of black silk in his path. As soon as Smoke released his grip on the fallen one, Sagittarius moved into place, planting his front hooves in the chest of the fallen, drew and arrow and aimed it directly into the fallen's eye... The arrow's golden tip glinting in the faint light. "Move, and die..." The usual mellow tone of Sagittarius' voice was gone, in it's place was a savage and guttural snarl.

Damn, I can't take on two ravaging lunatics at once... Time to even out the odds. Raising his left sleeve, Syl exposed his scarred forearm and raised it. Sagittarius noticed this "You idiot! you can't handle that! you're much too weak to even keep two..." I know what I'm doing, and what must be done... Concentrating, Syl began.. "Spirit of the Blood Seal. I command you enter this realm!" As he finished, blood began to drip from his exposed arm, and the scars that riddled it were reopening, and beneath the flesh, something slithered... At his bloody wrist, on which a circular scar was now gaping open, a single forked tongue flicked outward before being swallowed by Syl's wound. A second later, a green snout poked out from within Syl's arm, followed by a long slender body. Syl lowered his arm close to the ground, and out slithered Ahas, a green serpent with a mouth-full of fangs, and red, pinpoint eyes. As the serpent exited his wound, Syl fell on one knee, his pale face now looking gaunt and dark.

Ahas was small, about 4' long, and had a green color at the head and gradually turned brown down the length of his body. He raised his head to Syl's face, tongue flickering in and out between its front fangs. "The fallen one, beneath Sagittarius... Non-lethal, just paralysis... and hurry"

A forked tongue flickered in acknowledgement, and the serpent left Syl, slithering along the forest floor, towards the restrained beast... It had claws, Ahas noticed. So he proceeded to where his target's legs were. He raised his head and opened his mouth, exposing countless fangs, all dripping with venom...

Eron wasn't even fighting anymore. He was just waiting for the end. He now knew how it felt to be one of the animals he hunted, but he felt no remourse. He was getting one wish, at least. Just one. All he wanted was one wish to come true, and one of them was about to happen...finally, he would get revenge for all the shit he had taken in this lifetime...finally he would vanish from existance, since there was no afterlife for angels, and fade into oblivion. Fade into the black nothingness of oblivion...

Yes, finally he could have one wish just before he would fade into darkness forever, just as his heart did many years ago...he couldn't wait to taste, hear, smell and see the blackness that signaled the end of something. The start of nothing. With every fiber of his body he willed himself to let himself die. To let himself be consumed by shadows and to forever be in the shadow of his angelic bretheren, but even in such a shadow, he would know, conscious or not, that he would have gotten one wish of his to come true. To have one of his enemies suffer for his death. Revenge was at it's sweetest now, and he awaited the feeling of fangs sinking into his flesh and venom coursing through his unholy veins, destroying his contaminated blood and eliminating his body forever...

"...Yes...kill me...you know I deserve it..."He grinned at Sagittarius, giving him an evil smirk."Oh, look! I'm moving my head! Go ahead, shoot that arrow in, you bastard!"He said, moving his head closer to the arrow of gold."Oh dear, now I'm moving my arm! Now I really should be dead by now, shouldn't I?"He said, grabbing the centaur's leg."C'mon...are you a horse...or a jackass?"He grinned, pushing Sagittarius to the limit the best he could.

Asper looked around in terror, the smoke was back again. His eyes filled with terror and stretched to his limit, Asper suddenly opened his mouth. First there was no sound but then a wail rose up in the air, it was filled with anguish, woe, and hopelessness. It was a wail that would make even the strongest man turn and look to see what the source of this horrible noise. Asper was done, finished. He realized that these beings were stronger than him. Yet he was unfazed, he suddenly stopped and allowed the smoke to hold him. He would need his energy if he was going to get out of here alive. Asper stopped and thought about what to do. He knew the smoke couldn't hold him forever, as it was getting weaker already. Asper could see the outline of Syl holding an arrow over Eron's face and some sort of beast coming out of his arm ready to strike. Asper quickly pulled the throwing knife out of his belt and started to take aim. He would need to act fast considering that the green beast was getting closer and closer to Eron, its fangs dripping with venom ready to strike. Asper threw the blade and it began turning end over end in the air, straightening out as it neared its target, which was Syl's arm.

Ahas bit down.. sinking over a dozen fangs into the fallen one's leg, carefully choosing which venom glands to contract as to induce the desired effect. As he injected his venom, Ahas noticed that the fallen one was shouting... There should be no pain...? And then he realized that the fallen was shouting at Sagittarius. I cannot help.. not in this form... Carefully removing his fangs, he slithered to where Syl was and coiled himself around the black staff that Syl was leaning heavily against. Only now noticing the dagger that was buried halfway into Syl's arm. Syl's breath was labored, and his grey sleeve had grown dark, soaked with blood.

Centaurs are prideful beings, and Sagittarius, being who he was, was no exception. When the fallen that he'd been holding down started yelling insults at him, he tried to ignore them, as he was expressly commanded not to harm it. But, eventually, his anger got the better of him. "YOU LITTLE SHIT! I AM SAGITTARIUS! GREATEST OF THE CENTAURS! I'll make sure that insulting me is the last mistake you do in your immortal life!"

Sagittarius' shouts of anger reached the ears of Syl.. And He turned his attention from the knight back to the centaur in time to see a hairy, muscular arm raise in the air and fall back down towards the upturned face of the fallen one. "SAGITTARIUS NOOO!!!" Syl reached for his necklace, and the centaur's blow never came. An instant of silvery light flashed where Sagittarius stood over the fallen. A drop of blood ran down the side of Syl's mouth. A forked tongue flicked at it... "I know, Ahas... Just a little longer..." Syl's voice was strained. The snake wrapped around Syl's staff tightened it's grip as he began to run towards the knight and the fallen, positioning himself between the charging knight and the fallen fallen. (pun intended)

Turning to the fallen one, Syl looked directly into it's eyes "Stupid creature! Twice have I saved you, and twice you've thrown it in my face! This time, I will save you, but only because your survival would assure me mine!" Turning back to the Knight.. "Knight! Now is not the time for words, but neither is it time for violence... A truce, A TRUCE I say, and we shall sort this out in the manner of men!" Shit... this is bad... I'm out of steam.. and this knight is just getting started.. Here's hoping he has a brain inside that bucket head of his... Ahas, Be ready, if the knight attacks,Smoke can only hold him for a few seconds, you must go for the throat, non-lethal as well, like the other one, paralysis only... Syl turned back to the Fallen one behind him.. Hoping that the venom had taken effect...

The fallen managed a weak and clammy smirk as the paralysis wracked his body with frozen muscles and stiffened bones that he found he could not move. He knew that knight was going to get what he deserved, at least, that's what he thought by the time he lost hearing from the paralysis. It seemed to be quite effective on him, having effected his senses by greatly numbing them as well as numbing his body. He could barely hear little more than his beating heart...but his heart never beat before...this panicked him. Fallen Ones had no such thing as a beating heart...only a dead one that was cold as ice, which had a constant freezing grip squeezing the joy and good emotions out of it.

What...what is this...?"He mumbled quite softly, referring to his suddenly throbbing chest. This was impossible, this shouldn't have been happening! He knew something was seriously wrong. He felt his heart being seared with fire instead of frozen with bitterness, and he felt warm all over. He was barely breathing, something was wrong that worried him. Yes, he did want to die knowing that he had won at least a single battle, but he didn't want to die going back to those of holy bastards. He wanted to stay the forsaken, bitter angel he was. He promised he'd never look back, and he wasn't about to look back now. He tried to move his hand, and clutch his heart with all his might, hoping to rip it out, but he could do little more than lift his index finger. He tried to move that hand with all his might, but he could only move it slightly closer to his waist. He wouldn't let it end this way.

He tried to summon the snake over and try to convince it to end his existance, but it was no use. He could do little more than mumble at an extreamly low volume...he wanted to end his suffering, but not without knowing he had won a fight. He wanted that priest to kill him most of all, as he wanted to have that priest suffer for his death without any rational thought."C'mon, priest...hurry up and kill me..."He thought, hoping that by some stroke of luck he could will the knight to end this, making him unknowingly end it for himself as well...he knew that humans lacked compassion for anything other than their fellow man. Everything else was inferior. Everything else was either to be iliminated or to be ruled over with an iron fist.

Asper looked up at Syl breathing heavily.

"We are all tired and nearing death's door, I know that any of us could easily end the other's life, but we need to talk like civilized men." Asper looked to Syl then to Eron. "I will agree to the truce on the following conditions." Asper panted as he read them off. "Number one, you must join my organization of knights, pledging allegience to the code of honor." Asper looked straight at Eron. "Second, you must commit yourself to the lord, praying at least twice a day." Asper paused again. "I want to make sure that you will be saved when you die." He glanced at Eron again. "May it be soon or otherwise." He took out is dagger and made a small cut on his thumb. "Finally, you must vow to protect the weak, give to the poor, and destroy the evil." Asper looked at the blood trailing out of his thumb. "We shall sign this pact in blood." He limped over to Syl and gave him the dagger. It was all up to him.

As the Knight spoke, Syl's expression changed from being in pain and panic, into one of tempered anger. Emotions stirred deep behind His iridescent eyes. The balls on this god-worshiper.. Relaxing his stance a little, Syl gazed back behind him, eyeing the now silent Fallen, and seeing that he was paralyzed, turned back to the knight, focusing his full attention on the second man who had dared force upon him a path on which to walk on. His judgement was clouded by his emotion... Syl was contemplating the repercussions of killing this knight when Smoke broke his train of thought.. "You know you can't do that..." The hell I cant! I'd kill him if I want to "And give the satisfaction of the death of both you to that disgrace that lies drooling behind you? No, Syl, don't be stupid now, sway him, perhaps his offer isn't half bad" Syl turned back again to the Fallen... "Yes, you've saved him twice now, without reason, and at the risk of your life. Take up the offer of the knight and-" No! I will not have his god! I WILL NOT! "now now, Syl, you know you wont last, you can barely talk as it is. And this knight barely has a scratch, be wise and-" Enough, Smoke.. be ready.

"Gentlemen, you say? no sir, I am no landowner, nor am I a knight, and not a drop of noble blood runs through my veins... Though I'd expect you to know that, seeing as how eager you were of spilling my blood." Syl reached for the dagger that was still embedded in his forearm, wincing as he wrapped his fingers around it's blood soaked hilt. Taking a gulp of air, He tugged forcefully at the blade. He let out a gasp through clenched teeth as the metal slid out from his arm, the entry wound immediately drowned by a gush of blood. "Tell me, sir, do you impose your belief on those you deem weak? what would they be in your eyes, should the have refused you? You come at me, sword drawn and battle ready, you injure me, with the intent to kill, and now you hold me at swordpoint, forcing upon me your 'pact' of holiness. Here's what I think of your light!" Syl spat on the ground... "And here is to your faith" he spat again.

"You do know you're screwed if he calls your bluff don't you? I mean-" Shut up, Smoke, and be ready, he runs at me, bind him with what you have left, Ahas will do the rest "Sure have a lot of faith in that pet of yours, just be sure it isn't misplaced" The snake coiled around Syl's staff hissed at that, and barred it's fangs at the mass of shadows swirling in front of the knight. "I am weak, knight, yet I am not for you to command... I have wisdom that you could use, if you so chose to keep my head on my shoulders. I need allies, and though you don't seem like one.." Syl nodded to his bloody arm "You are not evil, do not harm me, and we shall talk of your guild... But let me again remind you, do not expect me to bow to you, sir, or to any god of yours! I am a pilgrim, a man of peace and knowledge. I do not submit to anyone's dictates, and I am ready to stand and die by that! If you fervently wish to impose your faith upon me, then you can do so to my cold, dead corpse..."

(It's alright Siraxisbryo. hope you get over that soon. :) and we'll try to slow things down a bit so no one get's left behind. :D)

He had to get that knight to kill him. Eron had to be right. Not about everyting, but at least about one thing. He had to prove that he was right about one thing! He had to prove it! As numb as he was, he summoned all his unholy power to speak."Y...ou...k-kill me...now...priest...kill me..."He mumbled. He wanted to prove that Asper was not as holy as he seemed, that even he had a dark side, just like ny other human on this filthy ball of dirt that was dared to be called "Earth"."G..go ahead...spill...spill..my blood...like the...monster...you...are...."He managed, before finding everything growing dark. But he fought to stay alive, he wanted Asper to prove his patheticness.

The lord will never forgive you for doing this, Priest...He never will..."He thought, the scene of Asper killing him and getting punished playing over an over again in his imagination. He imagined hs fellow ex-angels, appearing out of no where and slaying Asper violantly, tearing out his eyes and feeding them to wild wolves, and then ripping hs body limb from limb and gnawing on his bones. They would snap his lower jaw asunder, and sever his upper body from his lower one. They would pull him apart like on one of those earthly contraptions used in dungeons, then stamp and spit upon the entrailsand body parts, showing no respect and much hatred. He awaited for the scene to happen...

(Yeah, Siraxis. We'll slow down for ye! =D)

    Asper looked at Syl.

"Imposing?" He chuckled. "I am not imposing my religion on you, I am giving you a chance, a chance to save yourself." Asper began to explain. "You see, when you die, your soul will go to either heaven or hell." Asper laughed again. "Right now, on the path you are, your soul will go to hell and you will burn in fire forever." He smiled. "Does that sound fun? I think not." He waggled his finger. "I am giving you a chance!" Asper's voice got louder, suddenly ferocious. "I have the right to kill both of you!" Asper pointed at Eron. "I can kill you because you are a fallen one, you turned god away, if I kill you then you will face what you deserve." Asper turned his gaze to Syl. "You, are equally trapped." He explained. "You are a false heathen! Your fate shall be equally painful." Asper looked at both of them. "Gentlemen, I am giving you a chance. A chance to save yourselves." Asper paced back and forth. "But NO! You are too proud to save your souls from eternal hell, you are too proud to bow and accept that you will suffer for your past sins." Asper was screaming again. "I give you a chance!" He pointed at both of them fury in his eyes. "A chance to become the light! A chance to help others! A chance for faith!" He was furious. "This is your last chance! DO..NOT..DEFY..ME!" "I will make you or break you, fools!" He pulled put his blade. "Now choose wisely." "Will you accept the light and make a truce, or will you make me vanquish you to the fiery depths of hell." Asper's eyes locked with Syl's. "It's all up to you."

Exactly...what...do you care...of us?"He growled hoarsly."You...humans...are always so...arrogant...what..what was it?..."He thought for a moment."You barely know us...yet you...you try to save us. We would rather be sinners in hell than lose our pride, you know that..."He said, suddenly finding a burst of strength and using it to talk."...If I understand correctly...this God of yours discourages killing, yet here you are, willing to murder us in cold blood. First you try to force your goddamned religion on us, and next thing you know you are trying to kill us. Now your doing both. If you were truely faithful, you would give us a shot, and then walk away quietly if we said no...you would not murder people just because they said no...and if you were truely faithful, you would not be so easily offended by others simply saying "I'm Athiest"...everyone has their own beliefs, and my belief is that you are a filthy human bastard who has decided to throw himself at the feet of God in an attempt to go to heaven for his own selfish reasons..."

Lightning strikes above them, bathing Syl and the Knight in a flash of light. A macabre scene was playing out in their small clearing in the woods. On one side stood Syl, leaning on his cane, standing in front of a winged creature lying on the gound. On the other, a fully armored knight was pacing, pointing his sword at the two others. And between them lay an intricate lattice of what appeared to be black strands of thick thread. The web between Syl and the knight was invisible in the dark, and even in the brief flashes of light, they appeared to be no more than smoke, a spider web made of shadows.

Tch… this isn’t getting me anywhere. "Indeed, perhaps we should just leave that pathetic disgrace behind... Save all our skins" No, that fallen is valuable, though I have half a mind to watch him get butchered by this self righteous knight. Syl glared at the knight standing before him. “Choice? You call that a choice? Unwilling servitude or death, hah! You fool of a knight, your honor rings as hollow as your helm. Do you expect me to lie down and beg for mercy?” He spat in the direction of the knight “You‘re mistaken if you think I will submit to you, or your god. You are a false knight, worse than that creature behind me. At least he shows what he is, though I take it it’s not all he is. You” He spat again “on the other hand, you are a liar, hiding behind your faith, spitting poison coated promises of redemption! No, no, no, sir, I choose wisely where I place my faith! Unlike you who blindly march for your false honor and faith, I choose to walk my own path, a destiny wrought by mine own hands… Though, if you so wish to make me kneel, I suggest using that sword more, and your tongue, less. Oh, but do not take that as an invitation, for if you wish to lay me on my knees, you shall have to work for it. And I promise to make you sweat”

After catching his breath, Syl steadied himself. Smoke, are you ready? “I am, but, I must ask, are you? If you’re doing what I think, you’re in for a beating” I guess we’ll see, but I promise you I wont be the one beaten today… Syl stood tall, and placed his feet together. The effort of which made him grimace as he reached for his pendant. He held it firmly in his hand as he spoke “Spirit of the Arrowhead seal, grant me your strength” Syl let go of the pendant, and when he did, a golden glowing orb appeared before him. He reached for it, hand outstretched, and tightened his grip around an object. He pulled back his hand, and the object which he held. A golden bow, intricately detailed and finely crafted. As the bow left the inside of the orb, it fizzled and disappeared. When it did, the faint neigh of a horse echoed around the clearing where Syl, the knight and the fallen were.

I’ve had enough of this… Ahas, Neurtoxins, paralytic and lethal… make it painful. The snake coiled around his staff hissed acknowledgement, and slithered to the floor. Positioning itself in front of Syl, Ahas spread his hood, a pattern of lines which pulsated in a rich red color marked his face and hood. He bared his fangs, and over a dozen needle-sharp points dripping green ooze greeted the knight. Behind the knees and under the arm is where his armor is thinnest. A forked tongue answered Syl’s telepathic commands.

“Come knight, if you eagerly wish to send my soul to your hell, have at me. I tire of your words, and if you will not leave me in peace, then I shall engage you and leave you bloodied and dying where you stand” Syl leveled his arm, positioning the bow and drawing the string to his ear. As he pulled the string, a swirl of smoke started to form and solidify into the form of an arrow between his fingers. His eyes narrowing as he aimed at the center of the knight’s chest. “Let this serve as your warning, knight. Sheathe your weapon and leave us be, or die and feed the forest with your flesh” Syl breathed deeply and steadily as he awaited a response… That was when he noticed that his arm had begun bleeding where the knight’s dagger pierced his flesh.

The fallen growled, he had had enough of this. He attempted to grab his own throat, now using that faint burst of strength to try and kill himself. If Asper wouldn't end his misery, he would. He wanted to feel the sweet embrace of nothingness, to fade away into the shadow he had been born from. He wanted to feel himself fading from existance just as his friends had, before he had had enough and tried to save his only remaining friend. He wanted to be known as Eron, The Angel of Anarchy And Chaos. He had always wanted to forge his own destiny, to live and die as someone who was well known, at least amongst his own kind. He wanted to be feared and loved by fellow fallen, he wanted to be worshipped and hated by mortals, and he wanted something that he could feel proud of, so he could say "I don't care if I'm good or evil, I am a being of greatness all the same!". But if that wasn't going to happen, he figured that all life was meaningless once more and he had no longer a reason to be on this earth. He wanted to fade into nothing. Nothing but a few feathers and a broken halo, that was all...

He continued to try and strangle himself in a feeble attempt to die...

Captain Lumiere was trudging through the forest. Yes, trudging - his large suit of armor wouldn't allow him to prance around. He was still getting used to some of the weight, but he was getting much better. His shield wasn't so heavy anymore, he was relearning the feel of his sword...he would be known as a protector of the people. A crusader, a knight...and he would strike fear in the hearts of those who would stand in the way of peace. Sometimes, you needed to make a treaty. But sometimes...you needed to gut the evil at its source. And he was the harbinger of all that was good. Conveniently wrapped up in a slightly scary massive hulk of armor. But he tried his best.

His armor made a bit of noise as he trudged along, but he still heard something going on. What he found wasn't very good. One man trying to kill himself, another aiming a deadly-looking bow, and the third was shouting something about the light. This didn't look like something very good at all. Lumiere drew his sword, and beat it against his shield. And said the first thing on his mind. "Halt!" His voice was deep, enhanced by the fact that he was speaking through armor. There were a couple skull-emblems here and there, but the cross symbol should be loud and clear. His eyes shone through his helmet with a white glow. A very imposing figure, indeed, at 7'2".
