Characteristics

Rama is a noble and kind soul, good running through his veins. He is a warm and nurturing individual, and although he is naive to the ways of the surface people, he is very intelligent and has a great capacity for learning. In battle he is as fearsome as they come, a true force to be reckoned with. In his heart, he still holds a great sadness for the death of his love and the loss of his children.


A Brief History

Rama-Khan is one of the legendary Kuu'Tor, the winged lions of stories. A rare specie, Rama grew up in the floating mountains of Kar'Som, where his kind thrived in small numbers. In particular, Rama was a Kuu'Tor of great strength of character, one who cared for his friends and family and a hard worker. He even broke tradition and actively hunted, a deed usually saved for the females. His constant companionship with the females made him a favorite in his clan and won him the love of his mate, Raauu. The two found their own territory and brought up two cups, a brother and sister. For several years, Rama enjoyed a happy, simple life with his family. And then one day, man somehow reached Kar'Som and burned much of its lush forests to the ground. Several of the Kuu'Tor died that day, very small numbers flying off into exile. Among the dead was Rama's beloved Raauu, who gave her life protecting their children. The bodies of the children, however, were nowhere to be seen. Rama now scours the surface world of man, believing his cubs may still be alive somewhere.

Abilities

Flight: Rama has powerful wings more than capable of lifting his massive form. He is capable of flying at speeds up to fifty miles an hour and can maneuver through the air quite easily.

Ancestor's Roar: Rama can emit a powerful roar that sends a powerful force forward, strong enough to send men flying and destroy structures. This requires several minutes of rest before it can be used again.

Bladed Wings: Though normally soft and cushiony, Rama can concentrate his wings into becoming rigid and sword like. He often utilizes his wings as twin weapons and can fire a flurry of blades for a limited time. Like his roar, this requires time between uses, and when his wings are hardened it severely limits his speed and maneuverability in the air.

Transformation: With deep concentration and assistance from other magical sources, Rama can take the form of a human male. In this form, Rama is considered quite strong among most men, though not superhumanly so. He does not retain his wings in this form, so he loses his flight and blading abilities, though he does keep his Ancestor's roar. This ability exists mainly to fit in among mortals when his true form would be inappropriate.

Animal Communication: Being a beast himself, Rama can speak with other animals.

Persuasion: Rama is a charming and rich voiced individual, which allows him to easily make others fond of him or persuade them to do as he asks. This is not to be confused with manipulation, though he has had to be such in order to save his own life before.
