Abilites:
Assoca has the ability to shift into her raven form whenever she wishes. She is well-trained in unarmed combat, and highly effective in using her two bladed tonfas in melee combat, and uses several feather-shaped throwing kunai for ranged attacks. She is agile and swift, utilizing her druid-ic abilities to have an almost 360 degree field of awareness within four feet of her. She has keen vision and hearing unimpeded by darkness and noise.
In raven form she loses her area awareness skills and fights with her sharp beak and claws, while her tonfas attach to her wings to provide better fighting ability. Also, in this form she is very vulnerable to supersonic noise as her hearing is magnified exponentially. In this form she is not very battle capable, and is mostly uses it in travel, reconnaissance and tracking purposes.
**Assoca is yet to unlock her Hybrid form.
History:
Assoca was orphaned because of a war between a clan of druids and a tribe of shamans. She belonged to a peaceful druidic clan that specialized in interactions with birds of all kinds. This gave them a mastery over their territory for they were able to utilize the birds as scouts, messengers, hunters and, in dire situations, warriors. Although peaceful, the clan did was not without enemies. A renegade tribe of shamans, almost as old as the druid clan, have long encroached on druid lands. Although no large wars were fought, there were occasional battles between the two. On the day of her birth, was a different matter. That day, the shaman tribe mounted a full scale assault, sending every able body from their tribe to attack the druid clan’s settlement. Outnumbered four to one, the druids held the attacking shaman at bay while their elders chose the wisest course of action. Surrounded and besieged, the druids were losing a war of attrition, and so in the third night of fighting, the druidic elders decided that their only means of survival was through a great sacrifice.
They would assume the forms of their most trusted creatures, raptors. But the cost of this was great because for one person to be able to change their form into that of a bird, another had to sacrifice their life. This sacrifice was needed so that one person may live two lives in two forms, one form in human, another in raptor. In no other way could they achieve freedom and survival. After a much heated deliberation… the rest of the clan conceded to the decision. They knew that to continue fighting was futile, and that they need not shed the blood of the misguided shaman. At dawn, right after her birth, Assoca’s parents gave her and her twin brother to the elders, along with the other children of the clan that were to be given a new life. There were some adults as well, those chosen to serve as guardians and teachers to the young ones in their new lives.
