That's some pretty good color work if I do say so myself. Not that I'm an expert or anything.

In the first picture here, did you make those stars?

I made everything you see in the image except for the majority of the character outlines.

All of those are heavily customized as well except for the images of Richter Abend (Samael, Wrath) and Hei (Alexander, Envy). Those two were heavily recolored (which you can't see here). The others are actually composites of different heads, bodies, hairstyles, etc, as well as filling in bits that were out of frame (like the tops of several heads, edges of sleeves, etc. Those seven characters are made up of almost 20 images.

I'm not 100% satisfied with the accuracy - eventually I just realized it would have been easier to simply draw them all out myself, at which point I saved and closed the file.

Stars are the easiest thing in the world to do. Most of the stars you see are Add Noise supplemented with a very low-transparency Render Clouds and hand-brushed stars to vary the size.

Wow. Yoruichi. For the longest time, I was seriously convinced that that recolor was.. uh, fuck, what's her name, Havok? From Darker Than Black, with the red hair and her contract had something to do with drinking kid's blood.

Anyway.

Plastic surgery, I'm afraid, not makeup.

Photoplasty on this scale is not exactly complicated work, it just takes a little patience. After a lot of work attempting to fit Garuda into the frame I ended up giving up on it. When your spearhead doubles as a shield, it's hard to fit within the average signature constraints without obscuring everything else. Once I gave up on that I realized that I needed to do something about the eyes since it looks nothing like her.
