    Dodgen

    Name:

    Dodgen

    Age:

    A little bit to old.

    Weight:

    170 pounds

    Height:

    6'0"

    Hair color:

    Blue

    Appearance:

    Personality:

Dodgens Personality is known to vary like the winds during a tornado. Being a Sorcerer at birth a lot of his magics can be emotionally based. But, having studied for near his whole life, he has the discipline of a Wizard or scholar. Sometimes he is extremely kind and outgoing towards strangers. Others he is insanely paranoid, and wished for everyone around himself to just implode. Others, he is just quiet and reserved. Who knows what you'll get? Why not approach this ancient befuddled mage and see?

    Weapons:

    Staff of the Unknown Magi

This staff is the reconstruction of Dodgen's previous two weapons. He extracted the essences of Gogyou and Akujiki, and sealed them into this staff with the help of Mothers Energy. Below I will give you a description of how the weapons were when they were free standing. Then tell you of the changes, which are really only in item placement.

    Akujiki

Akujiki is an ancient blade of a great warrior of shadows. Ages past Dodgen received this magnificent blade from one of this line on his deathbed. It is formed of an odd metal, of which the name is not known, but its properties make it nigh impossible to break. It makes the sharpest of razors seem dull, and it magically ever has a keen edge. Along the sides of the blade run beautifully carved runes that help maintain the magics of the sword, and give it its mystical powers. upon contact with blood, or when the wielder needs to protect himself, the blade turns a crimson color. The sword is linked to the wielders mind and body, and constantly feeds him with energies it harvests from the souls it keeps. Akujiki is a soul stealer. When it kills an enemy it steals their soul and drains it of their energies, passing the energies on to the wielder. making them ever stronger. If Akujiki is not well fed he grows hungry, and begins to drain away at the wielders strength.

    Gogyou

Gogyou is a blade forged in the most intricate of forges, by Dodgens very own hands. Having spent years in its preparation, finding only the most perfect of materials he formed this weapon. Wielding the short sword he made out of his passion for manipulation, Dodgen is able to more easily manipulate the essences of Water, Earth, Fire, Wind, and Meta. The hilt of the blade contains five dark crystals, each of which, when fully charged, contains enough energy for him to directly summon one of the elementals, or use a varying number of lower level spells before their power is drained. He recharges the crystals with his communion with the elements on a nightly meditation basis. There are five runes on the blade, each one representative of the element it stands for.

    Now back to the staff.

As the staff has the essence of both blades, it has the capabilities of both. The staff is a soul stealer. And as such, requires that it be fed. When it has its souls, it amplifies Dodgens powers near tenfold. If and when this staff makes contact with blood, it does the same as Akujiki did, but only at the top. The top of the staff turns a deep crimson color. It also has the Powers of Gogyou, giving him a greater control over the five previously listed elements.

As for the power crystals. They have been melded into the wood of this marvelous staff so that all but one resides in the top curve of the staff. That generally being the focal point for the releasing of energy it would only make sense to keep it there. So four crystals reside in the head, and one at the butt of the staff.

    Powers

    Umbermancy

Umbermancy, literally translated means the study of darkness, which is basically what Dodgen does. But I use it much the same as people do with the term Necromancy. Dodgen tends to be a rather tenuberous character, sticking to the shadows at nearly all times. Rarely is it that the person one is enacting with is actually Dodgen. He is normally somewhere in the shadows, within eyesight and letting his doppelgangers handle his common interactions. Basically, Dodgen is a master of shadow Manipulation. You name something that can be done with shadows and it is likely that he has done it.

    Telepathy

Living as long as Dodgen has, one has plenty of time to sit and meditate on the mind and body, strengthening everything about ones self. And to truly be ready for combat of any form, verbal, mental or physical, one must know every aspect of himself. Dodgen spent many years developing the abilities to unlock the full potential of the mind. He many times uses his telepathic abilities to confuse his enemies with many hallucinations, or he constantly pummels a foes mind with horror filled memories of the past.

    Dodgens Garb

Yes, there is more to Dodgen than the simple robe you see him wearing!

    The Robe

Dodgens robe is basically magically photosensitive to the surroundings of Dodgen on all sides, and can, when required, change itself to form an exact replica image of the background he is against, and that of whatever may be behind him. It can recreate its backgrounds as fast as Dodgen can move. And of course, all of it is connected to Dodgens mind, so he does not have to speak a word to activate, or deactivate this spell. And yes, this does cover his face as well.

The robe itself is made simply out of thick strongly woven cotten. It has been augmented to aid him in dispersing elemental attacks that come his way. It can't outright stop a fireball, but it most certianly helps in dispersing the energy around himself.

    Under the Robe

Under the robe, over his chest and back Dodgen wears some extremely strong, but lightweight armor. The armor is made out of Kevlar, but magically interwoven to be tighter together than a normal Kevlar jacket would be. So this jacket can stop rounds up to .9mm. He has had to learn the hard way that to many people like guns.

    The mask

The mask is linked directly into the security systems at the Oni, and it provides him with whatever information he desires from her system, and the amazing thing about it all about it all, he can request information silently using telepathy. He isn't one to rely on technology to much though, which is why the mask is made magically and is magically linked to each individual camera. TV waves are to easy to intercept and interfere with. The mask also allows him to zoom in up to 50x, which is more than enough for him to need to see anything. And of course, all of this can be done with but a thought. The eyes of the mask allow him to see in various spectrums of light. As it is with most of his equipment, his mask is also connected to his essence, allowing him to control it with his thoughts.

It augments his hearing, linking itself to h is ears and allowing him to be able to zoom in on a whisper from up to 200 feet, or even pick out the sound of individual raindrops in a thunderstorm. It performs a simmilar function against sounds that are unsafely loud. It muffles the sound rather well, protecting his ears from the damages of a sirens wail and so forth.

    Background:

Dodgen has spent countless centuries confusing and bewildering people. Causing them to believe he is something he was most defiantly not. Illusion, Chaos, and Trickery were his favorite domains. And magic had been his specialty since birth.

Let us delve into Dodgens birth. Dodgen is the last of a race of a mythological group of people. People told of in fables to exist, but not truly believed in by any. He was a Child of the Earth. A "Tor os Aes." And he was one of the first to be born from the great mothers womb. She birthed severel of these "Tor os Aes." Their Duty was to watch over the lives of the rest of her children.

Unfortunately for her, and the rest of the children, Dodgen absolutely loved trickery, and stirring up chaos. So that is exactly what he did. He took on the visage of one child and went to another, spewing lies. He did this over and over until he started a full blown, and deadly family hatred. And where was Dodgen? He was standing in the middle, the innocent one in all of this.

The Children all waged wars against one another, it turning from a feud to a desire, no a need to prove their dominance over one another. And again, Dodgen refused to take sides. This was his little chess game, it was just sad that his own brothers and sisters were his pawns.

The war finally ended in the death of all but one child, Dodgen. He played his part so well. All of them believed him innocent, as did the mother. Guilt rides him to this day. And that, is why he is so paranoid of everyone, for he knows the treacheries he has committed. What is to stop some one else from doing them to him?

The rest is history, from the feigning of his own death, to pretending to be a Shinobi. Dodgen now openly shows the public that he is a Mage.

Recently he conducted an experiment in the basements of his special hideout. AN experiment that went horribly wrong. He was attempting to test out a theory in planeswalking, attempting to connect to an alternate universe, dimension if you would, rather than a different plane. There was a massive explosion, and he awoke. He awoke in Valucre.

    The making of the Staff.

The making of The Staff of the Unknown Magi

Dodgen was thankful that all went well last night. It gave him the chance to more fully focus himself on his task. Creating his staff. He would call it, quiet fittingly, the Staff of the Unknown Magi. For who had seen his true being? Who had ever looked into the depths of his eyes? He was truly an unknown Magi. People only knew the features he presented on the surface. Just the way he liked it.

He took the blades Akujiki and Gogyou and Ceremonially unsheathed each blade. First Akujiki. The blade that ever hungered for souls. He smiled, his grin hidden by the collar of his black robes. Gently, with his left hand, ungloved for the first time in centuries, he tugged down the collar, he exposed his lips. Then taking both hands to the blade itself, he rose the blade to his lips and ever so gently kissed the flat of it, his hands running along the runes of the blade almost in awe. He loved Akujiki. A blade he had won through many trials. It would be one with his soul until the day he died. And from there it would find a new master.

He set the blade carefully down, almost as though it were an egg, then drew back his left sleeve. He looked up into the heavens and called to his mother to bless the forging he was about to commence. He was going to reforge the essences of these blades into that of the staff. He pulled Akujiki up by the hilt with his right arm and gently ran the blade across his forearm. A thin line of blood appeared in the blades wake, which he allowed to poll over onto the blade itself. The blood seeped into the runes of the blade, awakening its ancient hunger once more.

Again he raised the blade to his lips, kissing the flat of it. And this time he put it down, blade first, into an ornately carved wooden display case. With the clench of his fist Dodgens wound quickly stitched itself, his arts quickly causing the skin to grow over the small wound. Now to prepare Gogyou.

Gently he lifted the blade that he himself forged so long ago. This was his precious, his beloved. His creation. He lifted the blade and kissed it in the same manner that he had kissed Akujiki. Taking it and repeating the aforementioned process, only this time to his right arm, and to Gogyou.

Gently he placed Gogyou in a beautifully polished oak display case, blade facing down. Blood dripped ever so slowly from the blade Gogyou, its thirst nonexistent as this blade was not made to hunger as did Akujiki.

Dodgen took the sheathes and walked to the other side of the room, carefully placing them in their respective boxes, leaving their lids open for the blades that would soon be joining them.

Now back at the table where he would be working, Dodgen placed both of his hands palm downwards on the table and sighed. This was going to be interesting work no doubt, but well worth the effort. Again he mentally called out for mothers support.

He took the staff in his hands and kissed it, placing his parallel to the blades that lied before him. The blades and the staff forming two lines of an H, and an invisible line connecting them in the middle, this line a mental line he drew for himself, to draw the weapons together.

He looked to Gogyou and smiled, his scarf again covering his mouth. Gogyou would be more cooperative. After all, he was its creator, its master. Silently he called out to the blade, calling out it's essence and drawing it along the 'line' and into the staff. " Sut dosstan, gi ib'leua gogyou, lu' flohlu ussta lar wund nindol zhennu kuk!!"

Following its masters call perfectly the many colored essence of the blade gogyou peeled itself out of the blade and flowed down the line Dodgen had created for it, directly into the staff. That was simple enough.

Now for the next hardest step. Getting the stubborn and comfortable essence of Akujiki out of the blade and into the staff. Dodgen would do what he had to.

Knowing the blade would not go on it own he reached into his sleeves, pulling out a few arcane spell components and preparing the spell, mashing them into a finely powdered dust. Once it was all prepared he tugged his collar down, again revealing his mouth.

" Seed d'lil guy'ya lorug, lasse d'lil ultrine valenwood, lauske d'lil gareth dothka, xxizz uns'aa sila nindol vrin'klatu wund olt k'lar!" He said in a somewhat commanding voice, his volume at a normal speaking level. He could feel the ingredients weakening Akujiki's resolve. Making Akujiki more pliable to Dodgens will. Good. Now it was time.

Taking in a deep breath Dodgen called out loudly, his voice commanding, but not quiet demanding, " Akujiki! Sut dosstan dal dosst delmah. Dosst ze'zhuanth delmah, lu' voen'llyl ussta lar. Ragar dosst sel delmah wun nindol kuk. Kla'ath uns'aa al ghil lu' dos orn tlu mal'rak al zirh!" The room darkened itself as the blade almost stubbornly refused, but Dodgen refused to let this go. The blade would do what it was told, and he would throw a little bit of his innate magic into this. Wizards and their experiments could only go so far without natural talent in the arts, and that was one thing he had. He reached out to the blade with his mind, pitting his willpower against that of the ancient and stubborn blade. The blade, after about fifteen minutes of 'tug-of-war' realized who his master was and gave in. Akujiki flowed obediently down the line Dodgen had drawn out for it, its essence a glowing red, and into the staff.

This complete Dodgen smiled. Now he had but a few things left to do. The most difficult part was complete. His dark arts finished. Now it was time to use more 'appreciated' magics.

With a happy chuckle Dodgen spoke out in a different odd and mystical language, this one sounding ever so much less foreboding. " Shor saeri shys eil tia syl ai shol saeri sai myr syndraeraes thys aeraesoria eil ol!" Now the two essences were bound into one, much like two souls were bound at marriage, except this binding would actually last for forever.

And now to tie this staff into his soul. Make its strength directly related to his life. It would be as strong as his resolve. Again he spoke out, this time louder, and forcefully. These words sounding more pleasant to the ears. "Kyr tyraes jhol sor mas sai tia myr. Jhaer air shi sar air olia shael shael ai pai! jhaer bai oraes jholol, os paer shael jhae saes cal iadyl air, jhaer o mori saes shaesi si mal!"

Now the Staff was tied into his soul. The staff would be as strong as his resolve, his soul. This staff would only break when he did. And the explosion in the aftermath of such an event, the two essences bursting out, would be enough to likely kill of whatever took him down. And to make it even better, the mother had agreed with him. Whomever. Aside from himself, touched this staff would feel themselves suffering the most brutal of pains. And if they could suffer that, it would function for them as a simple staff, Akujiki slowly eating away at their soul.

Now it was time to remove the crystals from the old Gogyou. He reached out over the hilt of the blade that previously housed Gogyou, his mind calling out for the crystals to leap out from the hilt and into his hand. Obedient, as they should be, they complied without much effort. Taking four of them in his hand he held them up to the top part of the Staff, whispering to them, then to the staff, and causing themselves to meld into the Staffs surface. Now they were hidden beneath the surface, the staff looking a plain and boring brown.

Next he took the remaining crystal, the one attuned to metal, and held it to the butt of the staff, causing it to do the same. The crystal would only be that much stronger kept close to the ground. The staff was now complete. now to pay the blades their due respects.

Removing the blades from their display cases he kissed each one gently before taking them over to where he had put their sheathes. He placed the blades into their respective sheathes, closing the boxes and taking a moment out to reminisce the different things he had done with each blade.

Now to the staff! He walked over to it and stared at it reverently for minutes. Until finally he reached out and took it into his hand. He could feel the power surge through him as the staff recognized its creator. Its master. He smiled, it again hidden by his scarf and left the room, he somewhat leaning against the staff.

He headed tiredly into his room. Now was the time for rest, and after such a successful experiment, he felt he more than deserved it. He opened his door and closed it behind him with a gentle thud. Then headed for bed, his staff cradled in his arms as he drifted off into a light and peaceful sleep.

The birth of the dragon, Peldora.

Master told him it should hatch soon...He waited for what seemed to be forever, his eyes every wary of the egg and its surroundings, not willing to let any harm befall masters precious egg. Then, after watching it vigilantly for near to three days, the eg began to do peculiar things. Slight shaking...Squeaking. It was time. He sent a lower down shade servant to find master, for he would not abandon his post.
