    The Acident! (Open to All)

What the fuck. That was all he could think of as waves of pain rolled around in his mind. What the hell happened. The air smelled different. He wasn't in his basement anymore. Functions check, go. He wiggled his fingers, one firmly grasping his staff. He still had that. He wiggled his toes, moved his legs and arms a bit. Everything seemed to be working. He opened his eyes and everything made a sort of half sense.

The sky above him was beautiful and blue with a spotting of clouds. The wind gently rolled across the plain where he was laying on his back. How did he end up on his back? Why did everything feel wrong... He reached his mind out through his mask to connect to his home, and felt nothing. There was no longer a connection. Not static or fuzz, simply nothing. This was very alarming to him. It could only mean that it had been destroyed... or he was somewhere that he couldn't reach out to it. What in the hell. This was frustrating.

Did this mean the experiment worked? He sat up, rubbed his head, and let his normal glamor fall into place, taking on the appearance of a stooped old man wearing red robes with the cliche wizards hat. He pulled himself up ever so slowly, the pain in this old mans back obvious. He reached into his staff and checked... Yes, his crystals were still charged, and Akujiki still hungered.

He reached into his sleeves, hands shaking. Check, his bag of tricks was still there. He could feel the little shrunken statuettes of his Golems and the little representation that would awaken Peldora and bring her back to size. He still had his pouches of powders and various other small materials... So be it, time to go home!

He called out to mother and...she was gone. He had no connection to her... to this planet. He had other means. Flustered and angry he pulled out some powders, muttered the words that were common to himself, and threw them out, calling forth a gate to teleport himself back home. The air crackled and fizzed, and suddenly everything smelled like sulfur. Nothing. How could this happen. What was this place!? Truly confused he paced, rather walked unsteadily, back and forth trying to figure it all out. He reached inside himself and spent some energy, creating a small globe of fire in his hand. Frustrated he snuffed it out. That worked, but it felt different. Magic didn't seem to work in the same way here... Only time would tell, and he had to walk somewhere... Meet someone. Time to play one of his favorite roles. The old, and frequently confused red mage. Slightly stooped the man began to walk in a random direction, limping and leaning heavily on his staff. He muttered incoherently to himself as he hoped to stumble upon a town or village somewhere.

It was a great day. A day to stray from the hustle and bustle, particularly the loud arguing and bickering, of the stuffy house. Shado strolled through the edge of the forest, brushing away branches and small foliage that reached out to brush against him like advent fans. luckily there were no fans in the forest, and especially in his home territory. For they would be ambushed by the ever changing mana and dangerous creatures within the Cedars. His oculars did gaze in a familiar faded way, connecting to the nature around him rather than to his thoughts. as ever his thoughts were quiet, it was silenced by a sudden change in the air, an interruption.

His head automatically, uncontrolled by a blip in his system, to the field just out of range from the lighting density of the forests edge. Something had just appeared, or fallen from the sky. His foot was raised for a step forward but like an alert animal he stayed still, his heart did not change it's tempo. He watched as the creature began to feel, with confusion, his surroundings. He sat up, and Shado, he crossed his legs behind him and fell to the ground, crawling back and getting as low as to laying down under the thick overgrown grass. Like a tiger stalking pray he waited, closing one eye to focus through the brush and watch the man, calmly and timidly. His arms were folded and he tucked his chin in his crossed wrists.

Every so often shifting his head slightly to watch the pacing man who seemed flustered, edgy. He used magic, Shado's other eye opened and he watched with awe. But the magic failed through any element other than mana. he watched as he through the powder, which denied "It's" motive, whatever the intent was, "mother didn't allow it. He should have known this guy was something of a mage or wizard, do to that goofy looking hat.Particularly his body language reminded him of his sister whenever deep in thought, so it was within his element. this man who seemed to move smoothly, turned, began to act differently from when he had before. How odd. He now hobbled, leaned more on that peculiar staff and stooped. Was he an old man, lost out of his wits? He was moving towards eleven o'clock direction. Confused and curious as hell, Shado slow got to his knees, sat up and looked around. Yup the only guy here. this man smelt of unsure material, a darkness was held within that staff of his, but from what Shado could sense there was nothing from the man. Old, he felt from him like he felt from his mother's presence at times. He rose up and sighed cutting through the high grass and getting out to the field. He wouldn't speak up until he was able to decide whether to follow from a distance or until he was spotted, might be a wrong move the man could be jumpy and cast some absurd fire on Shado.

Field, forest, field, forest... This place was all the same. Interesting only in that everything he laid his eyes on was something new... He needed to find a great center of study and learning here. Somewhere where he could fins the knowledge he needed to make it back to his precious castle in the shadows. With but a little effort he caused fantastical birds of light and shadow, their colors changing almost at random, to fly around and make a little mischief for his entertainment. He laughed a quiet airy laugh to himself, relieved that everything seemed to work pretty much the same here, except that it smelled funny. Hmph.

Walking as this limping old man sure did make for slow going, but it was one of his most favorite forms. The wicked underestimated him, and tried something foolish, usually one of the last foolish things they got to, while the kind of heart tended to lend him a helpful hand. It was a great way to quickly learn about the true heart inside of a person, disarming them in such a way. His long white hair flapped about in the wind, his matching beard flowing about in a similar way. At least the weather was nice. Decent temperature with a little wind. His mind wandered on about such inconsequential things, beginning to whistle a merry tune while he walked this almost aimless route.

His birds began to flash between red and white, alerting Dodgen that something was watching him. Goodly folk normally didn't stalk people like prey. So be it. He reached out to to the crystals in his staff, linking his being with them so he would be able to call upon their powers quickly. He also started to poll his energies, focusing them in both of his hands. He simply continued to whistle and walk, his mind no longer wandering about the inconsequential as he focused more sharply on his surroundings waiting for his stalker to make his move. He never missed a step, never lost a beat in his tune. In fact, he did nothing whatsoever that would let anyone simply watching him know that anything had changed, unless of course they could sense the energies building inside himself.

(Also, just so your aware, no mask is visible right now. Just a stooped limping old man with his red robes and pointy hat. <3)

His steps were light, airy, almost a ghostly wandering soul, his eyes focused on the surroundings and the man; the direction, scent, everything a hunter knew how to do, as well as his ability to link through his particular bending. a natural peck from which his mother passed down to his brothers and sister, yet neevr teaching them all the tricks of the trade. Shadow bending. And since they had enemies at a young start, his mother's words never slipped fromhis memory. "We aren't the only one's who know about the shadows. Being born from them doesn't make me King of the Realm, Mastering and over throwing the demon, did. You must connect to the shadows like it is your own body being possessed. This will connect you to almost everything that casts a shadow, living and not."
This man was living breathing and casting shadows. Literally summoning them into existance. He was old, white haired, and ancient. Perhaps he knew of Devilkins, maybe he was one, it only made Shado more curious. He knew no one else outside his family who had the power to manipulate shadows.

Yet something spiked, in the staff of his, just shortly after the birds particularly showed signs of flickering. How odd he thought as his head tilted to them then the energy was detected and his eyes narrowed oh so clever! i don't know that trick. likewise i don't know how to bend light alone unless using a shadow alone. Gaia, look at me i'm analyzing like my sister would, i should get out of the house more often. Perhaps the man had power to use shadows to his will of magic, maybe it was coincidence. Raven got it from his hellish father, to harness shadows to his own will, but he was not a Devilkin. Slowly his steps shortened and slowed, He was only curious about the man, who seemed to pop into existence. Maybe before things got out of control, he should speak up, in hopes to stir an ill feeling towards another direction. It's unpredictable these situations, whether the old man was truly righteous and elder was a testament only the man himself can patent. And if he was, was he the jumpy crazy wizard kind, or a wise "your move first, boy" old mage with strength unimaginable that even if Shado had the ill manner to attack , like testing the man as his idiot elder brother would, for stupid reasons, that the Mage would only laugh in the face of the pityful attempt and thus turn him into dust.

A frightening thought, Shado was not afraid of dangers, but people were not like the creatures and fauna out in the world, actions are much more variant. CLearing his throat in a long slow exhale to hack the flem from his throat and moist up his dry tongue, his expression was flustered and his anxiety overwhelming. Not the type to start a conversation. How about with, "E-excuse me, hello?" His heart he had to pull down with his stomach muscles that tightened when in uncomfortable elements. "Sorry sir, to creep up on you." he said taking a wide circle around the man, hoping his voice was projected enough for him to hear, He was sure it was can't pity an old man you don't know. "I er, saw you seemed a tad puzzled, perhaps i am mistaken. You see i was taking a walk there" his hand pulled up to the forest edge. "...And i had seen you get up and." he breathed in and tried to keep himself from perspiration so much. "Are you lost? Maybe not, I wasn't sure nor still aren't, i wanted to make sure, from a distance. I didn't want to just assume and have the worst happen to you out here. it's dangerous." with that Shado pulled his heavy quivering anxiety up over his head with a soft smile his eyes still looking unsure of himself. did i stutter am i pissing myself... i can't feel my face. Why am i so bad at communicating yet tend to try for good deeds anyway You stupid cub scout, this is why Silho is always looking down his nose at you. he cursed himself in closed minded expressions. in his head he was slapping himself in the face and shaking his body at the shoulders. Out of the box though his hand was rubbing at the back of his neck and his smile was a nervous one, but those blue optics of his showed a child of a man. A huntsman. He kept his analysis to himself, and rather the man show his true colors if he so wished, instead of giving any of his own out. He "didn't" feel energy and he didn't see anything but the old man there. Playing dumb. he sure acted like it, and it was uncontrollable for him.

indeed. They were right. He was going to have to 'recalibrate' his life sensing dweomers to adjust for more life forms it would seem. No worries. He could see the guy plain as day now, and he heard him, his mask amplifying his speech, his stuttering, so he could hear it plain as day. But this one didn't have to know that. He coughed a little bit, placing both of his hands on his staff because he needed the support as he leaned forward to squint, and get a closer look at the man. His eyes absorbed everything they could as an ever so tiny amount of energy floated near the creature, unseen but gathering information as it could. Paranoia had served he, who was never what he seemed, very well over his many years.

Dodgen allowed the energy to continue to build, amassing in his hands. If the man was no thread perhaps he would work some fancyness. After the young one stopped speaking, as common protocol would have it where he was from, it was now time for him. Except... This creature never gave its name! How rude! It would be up to this old man to show him how things were done. Once the creature was done speaking he waved him closer with one of his hands. "Eh?" His voice was as airy and warbly as ever. "Speak up youngin! My name is Dodgen young man." He bowed deeply, one arm swinging his hat elegantly off of his head and around behind his back as he bowed deeply, coughing when he got to the bottom. It happened again, his back cricked up on him. he brought his hand from behind his back and grasped the staff firmly, using both hands to pull himself up with the aid of the staff.

Now for the part that always made him smile on the inside. He looked around astounded. "Why... Why they've done it again!" He looked back towards the creature, his voice was raised and frustration was clearly seen in his eyes. "Lad, have you seen my hat!? They always..." His voice trailed off as he spoke unintelligible curses against the unknown little creatures that always meandered off with his hat. It would seem they were here too. If the young man were to look down at his feet, the hat would be resting there innocently. One would almost swear the hat was smiling up at the boy mischievously... bu how did it end up there?

Ah! how could he forgotten. well, usually he was the nameless good deeds-man, He'd rather just be anonymous rather give his name as though he was trying to gain a reputation for himself. Tim, the-enchanter-of-many-cuz-i'm-too-nice-for-my-own-good. But you can just call me Tim. No, no that wouldn't work. He guessed it was his own name then. He cleared his throat and spoke up "Oh my apologies. Dodgen, sir." he said still somewhat quietly but projected his voice more to the man. The old man named Dodgen seemed harmless enough, played the part of an old man, looked like an old man. smelt like one to. The old man bowed Shado watched intently he swiped his hat off his head minding his manners. Shado did not have a hat on so he didn't have to respectively take it off. with such a deep bow he feared the Dodgen would throw out his back, but he raised up, Shado waited to speak his name as the man got up, so his voice would catch his hearing. But before he could speak again the man worried about his hat. of course the 'young boy' forgot in all his worry about keeping an eye on every which movement and element. he didn't hunt humanoids, so his instinct always dropped around them automatically. He was the only brother who didn't go to war, rather he sought zoology and hunting.

"They?" he raised a brow in rhetorical gesture, " My name is Shado. i think i can help you" he said bowing generously back and looking to his feet. Oh hey. There it was. his head gave a tilt to the hat. What trickery, was this to throw him off? did he fall into a trap?; his heart jumped. maybe it was an old man's sense of humor, maybe there were really trickster fey about them somewhere playing the trick. he slowly reached for it but rose back up, leaving it there. No he was sure it fell behind the man and so i will it to be...
he thought to himself, his melancholy gaze sat on the hat that lay beneath his shadow. "I think it may have fallen when you bowed." The hat was gone just like that, out from his shadow, and resting at the mans heels. "See good sir, behind you there." His blue eyes passed glances between the hat and the old man. Shadows were silent and ever changing in the world, people went day by day without ever knowing shadows held an alternate dimension of its own for the antisocial creatures that fled from light. His face didn't express any change and his body language didn't test the man in stature nor sudden movement. He was able to hold his ground and act on naive attributes of a child. his eyes never left the man,"Don't worry i'll pick it up no need to bend over for it," he said holding up a hand in pause and juggling his stride over lightly and picking it up with a brush of the rim. He held it for the old man with a senseless smile.
"I had asked if you were lost, I didn't want to assume you didn't know your way around or were just enjoying the scenery out here. You're a ways from any town, and you seemed to stray further. Perhaps you live a hermit's life out here." he gave another smile to the old man reinstating his presence was reasoned. "I was passing through and saw you out here." don't lose sight of any reaction. if it was purposely set at your feet he'll have something to show for it,right? unless he is truly senile.

He stuttered something unintelligible to cover that his eyes would have went wide when he moved his hat. It wasn't often that people were fellow umbermancers, whether they knew the meaning of the word or not. The young one, Shado touched his hat. That was nice. Illusions were amazing when they were believable. The hat moved and felt just like the real thing, and it fed a small amount of information about this Shado to him. He nodded his head politely, refitting his hat. "Thank you child, ' he spoke weakly, "Little devils are always stealing my hat!"

He coughed roughly into his elbow before speaking again, "Where did you learn a trick like that young man? It isn't every day you see something like that! I saw my hat by your feet! How did you do it!?" The desire for knowledge could easily be heard in this old mans voice. "I'll teach you a trick if you teach me yours!" He kept his eyes on Shado, bewilderment showing to cover what would lay below. Curiosity, paranoia, and still, the building of power. If it came to it, he would be ready to rain brimstone.

what a strange way of acting. Does he really believe there's creatures? am i not seeing them? Shado smiled weakly to him. So he did know and saw his counter. There it was, the man was looking about for the "little devils" when Shado had cast it forth to Dodgen's back.He couldn't have seen it as it had happened, so he's gone assuming, or even accusing. I'm not convinced but i want to test this, maybe even amuse him some more. "Trick? you mean picking up a hat? maybe perhaps these 'little men' you speak of had moved it again? I'm not a magician." he said through his lips that curled up at both ends. the jig was up. for both of them, but he wasn't blunt about it, instead like his mother pointing out her knowledge of who out of the four broke a vase, he'd have his answer through witty dramatic theatrics. "But you're trick was pretty fun. How'd it go again?"

he leaned forward imitating the deep bow and then rising again. His hand was bent behind his back, when he got up with that same goofy smile he pulled his hand back in front of him, jumping on cue to what was in his hand. Yet another hat." Oh my! why, it's your hat. but it couldn't be. it's on your head!" he said with a played shock on his face. he took the hat in both his hands and slowly pulled it so that it would stretch. the more it did the longer it got. the stretch marks were creased and blackened like ink, or shadows. Once stretched to the length of his arms sprawled it became a staff, much like the old man's.
He held it up to the man, so he could examine, even feel it.
"Abra Kadabra. So How'd you do your trick?" he spoke simply. Old man Dodgen said he'd show him "a" trick, who's to say if it was the same one, or a different one. His stutter was gone and his eyes weren't as nervous when things caught his interest, like this Being. Indeed the hat the man was wearing was his own true hat. It was ported from one shadow to another, as long as a shadow was cast, there would be a way to get anything anywhere desired. As well as the night, one big shadow. His voice wasn't snide or boastful, it held a faint hint of awareness and undoubted consciousness.

Dodgens eyes opened wide in a small amount of amazement. He was an umbermancer. Nice to meet a kindred spirit. The old man chuckled at the trick, the manipulation of shadow, and light, for there was not one without the other. He spoke in his normal warbley tone, "Well good sir Shado, that was not the trick you were to show, but it was still a fun show!" A smile lit his face and he stood a little bit straighter, his aged face showing some of its youth, even with all the wrinkles, as his eyes took on a merry shine. It would seem that he may have stored up all that energy for no reason. May as put it to use for a show of merriment and great splendor. But first, he pulled his obedient shadow into himself, eliminating it completely. It would never do to have a shadow with another umbermancer around. That done, the show would begin!

He held out a hand, sliding his thumb across his palm. As it slid across, playing cards would appear until there was a whole deck splayed out. "Pick a card young sir!" But it was all a ruse, whether he reached for a card or not they would flutter out of his hand, folding themselves into little birds who would fly at random over their heads. But he was not done, the show had just begun and he had an awful lot of energy built up that needed to see some use. "I guess they didn't want to play today!" He said with a child like mischievousness. His hand would come up yet again, multicolored and varied flowers would seem to sprout from his hand, spinning and joining the birds in flight around them. The air around them filled with the flowers and birds, both of them multiplying at random until the birds 'decided' it was time for war against the flowers. The flowers released spores, knocking out any bird who came near. Oh but the birds were simply to clever. Like a modern day fighter jet they began to rattle off their tiny little machine guns, taking out the flowers at will.

Meanwhile Dodgen would pull another card out of his sleeve. Out of the ground sprouted 2 lifelike forms of Shado, which commenced to wrestling with one another rather playfully. A ring similar to a boxing ring sprouted up around them wreathed in flames, while a crowd could be heard cheering for Shado to win the bout. 'Go Shado go!!' On the other side two forms of Dodgen sprouted out of the ground, immediately going at it with another, throwing flame, ice, fire, earth and every element imaginable at one another, deflecting as many hits as they took.

Now for a grand finale. The entire area, the birds, the fake Shado's, and the Dodgen's all burst into flames creating a massive fire that was sure to put the entire field to flame, not to mention how badly it would hurt Shado and Dodgen. As the flames rolled over them they would experience a calming cooling effect, almost as if one had rubbed noxema on his chest. When the flames cleared Dodgen was no longer next to Shado. In fact, there were still two Dodgens, standing just where they had been fighting before. They both bowed in the same manner as he had before, matching one anthers movements perfectly. With boyish grins on their faces they spoke in perfect unison, "If you can guess which one of us is real, you shall get a prize!"

Shado closed his eyes in compliance, Yes it was the same trick, and the good sir knew it. His eyes were on the ground, still quite bashful. He watched the shadow shrink to nothingness. Silly and foolish as it was, whether the shadow was his own or not, it didn't matter, not for the demon itself forged from the shadows alone.
The man Dodgen was amused and rose to a youthful position, ah so he was as strong old timer but still a mage, pity, it would be extraordinary if there was another Devilkin roaming about.
Playing cards? he questioned raising his hand from his side reaching forward slowly until they burst and flew over head. He should have guest, as his brow softened and his eyes widened with boyish amusement. he watched back to Dodgen intently for more flowers than followed the birds, then an amazing spectacle of battle began between them. Amazing his smile became wide, this was some wild play of shadow and light. The man was great at what he did, even with light manipulation. This was a trick his mother knew, Creating clones of actual chess pieces missing from the board, making money, or pulling an actual rabbit out of a hat.
But the man wasn't done, he threw down another surprise. Shado's face became red as he hopped back, ah shadow cloning, he heard the crowd too, he blushed profusely, as he saw himself battle another self. He watched as the spectacle became great and more chaotic. Show boating. this was extravagant. he was nervous to where it was going, especially when everything bursting into flames, it wasn't hot he felt no heat from it, just a cooling sensation, that helped his face lose it's rose color. There in front of him mimicked two faces of Dodgen bowing together and speaking together. He smiled and let out a merry laugh. He even allowed his sweaty hands to raise up and clap. "Amazing!" he exclaimed raising his arms to his side. " I wouldn't be able to guess truly, of course because you hid your shadow from me, which would if not done properly, expose the real self." he said putting his hand up to his chin, stroking and examining both specimen.

"Hey he asked me to guess it!" came a voice of his own from behind them. "Woah, hey there, relax, guy i think he was asking me. don't be so pent up!" came another to the Shado's side.

Shado looked to the two doppelgangers "Hey Dodgen, thought these guys burst into flames." he said thumbing in their directions with a chuckle.
" I'm Shadocus!" came another next to himself he jumped back. "Hey now this is getting weird." he said his brow furrowing. more an more came to, calling out "No I Am Shadocus!" at one another, the first two seemed as hesitant as True Shado, getting crowded by the others. "Hey now.. er Shadocus just relax!" voiced Shado trying to settle the other's down. One ran up to him and punched him in the jaw. The would be real one soon puffed into a cloud of dust, and was casted by the wind.
The others went silent with a few gasps, a few long O's and one screamed like a little girl. they surrounded the two Dodgens.
They then after a long pause of shock began to jump at one another, punch, jaw, kick and shove like a wild mosh pit, at each around. The lot of them began to puff out of existance. The more cloudier it got the more the light began to fade, like a dust storm. A few shouts and screams were left, echoing in the dark cloud. So thick it was like a shadow itself. But unlike the first Shado's puff of smoke, it didn't fade back.

Laughter came to, through, out from the thicken blackness came Shado stepping into a large spot of light that was unseen, casting only upon him and Dodgen. His eyes glowed an emitting azure blue, his smile playing with the most childish of grins. He pointed to Dodgen. "You're the real one." he said simply taking back his hands and shrugging at his sides and looking around. "For the other one is not here." he pointed out. He let Dodgen take in the surroundings, not much to see in pure darkness, as even their voices echoed back.

Shado let his smile drop a little as he spoke popping his hand in his pockets. "My mother taught me this trick long ago. You hid your shadow within you, which is clever but not unless you can Sense shadows. Even if you hide them, and make them as small as a pin, I can still sense them, and their location. They are all connected and if you play it right, shadow's will cast shadows, no pun to my name." He said with playful tone.
His fingers snapped like the thought in his mind, "Oh! Hey don't i get a prize?" he said Impishly.

Somewhere nearby, a lone woman hovered quietly alongside a field of yellow flowers. She hummed to herself quietly, her ghostly voice echoing throughout the clearing. It was similar to the song of a siren, except she wasn't trying to draw anyone to their demise. Emaka scanned over the field again, looking for any dying flowers. There were none. She smiled, then lifted her arm slightly, beckoning the small skull on the ground to look up, then pounce into her hand. Tall she was, and strangely coloured. But yet, she wasn't nearly as scary as she seemed at first. Emaka hovered along the ground, her delicate pointed feet remaining a few inches from the ground.

That's when she saw flickering flames in the distance.

Alarmed, she gasped, putting one of her hands to her mouth. Oh my. The skull in her hand jolted back, and she zipped forward, racing over the grass. Thin wisps of purple fog rolled from the ground beneath her, leaving a trail of slowly fading clouds in her wake. The thin strands of hair that fell over her shoulders whipped backwards, and then she came to a sudden stop. The fire had vanished and she was at the far end of the field. Well that's just peculiar. she heard voices nearby, and turned around.

There, stood two men. One was younger, but one seemed older, yet still young at heart. There were two of the older gentleman, and Emaka noticed he had a staff. A mage perhaps? she looked down at the skull hovering in her hand, and it looked back at her. It's hollow eyes were filled with nothing but a light blue flame. The Sorceress stood behind the younger man, observing quietly. Suddenly the young man vanished, making Emaka smile. Perhaps I could show some skills of my own. she said, with a giggle.

I liked it, but i am going to change it a bit. Even outside of combat, no porting other characters to other dimensions on auto. <3)

Both of the old mages laughed. If only Shado knew. Dodgen was merely a shadow, darkness and light sentient and learned in the ways of magic. Ancient he was, but he was anyone, everyone. Dodgen was the master of all, the master of none... The master of Illusion. They could swing at him all day but they would simply swing through them. They were nothing, just light darkness tweaked and wrapped just so to create a perfected image. They bowed politely, simply fading from view. And it was clever, would have worked quiet well if either of the two been a shadow doppleganger. How he loved his mischievous tricks. Shado would figure it out eventually. He wasn't an old man. He wasn't a young man. He simply was. Many would call him an elemental but he shunned such a label.

Out of the tiniest shadow from the smallest bit of grass nearby in the field stepped the old man, his leg literally stepping out of it as if he were walking out of a door. "Very clever sir, but how do you detect a shadow when there simply isn't one? A man beneath a tree has no shadow, for there is no light to produce it. But I admire your solution. No need for such violence though!" The limitless glories of magic. One simply had to learn the right way to tweak things.

Then Dodgen saw the woman racing towards them, standing behind shado. "Well isn't this a popular spot today, out here in the middle of no where away from all towns." He smiled at her as he gave another extravagant bow. "I am Dodgen, "He continued with his voice as shaky as it always seemed to be, "And i refuse to believe out meeting here was but mere coincidence. Is it destiny? Must we go off and fight a mighty dragon together? Delve into the deep and destroy hordes of zombies?" His face lit up yet again with a boyish glee as he remembered the glory days of exploration and adventure. He had many guises, and had fought in many battles as a mage, a sneak, an intimidating and heavy armored warrior. How he loved to play little games.

(they are still in the same world O.o just within the deeper helm of shadows. but you may have your cake and eat it too xd. <3)

"Aw darn i thought i near may have had it. and to answer that question. You just need to look through the shadows to who's above you" Maybe they were on different levels, each strong with how they used their shadow magic. To him it was a way of life. he didn't simply touch a shadow and disappear and sense a shadow and will an illusion from it, the darkest of shadows was just beneath them. Ever changing. If the sun was setting, all he'd have to do was wait the the mountain to stretch over the field and he'd be able to run the shadow plain faster than one would have to track up hilly and forested terrain.

Shado blushed and looked up as the darkness evaporated around him. He did have a point, no need for violent, but it wasn't physical it was all just smoke screen. "Well it was at least fun. hey no scratches didn't hurt a thing." he laughed lightly looking over his shoulder to the new visitor. How oddly beautiful and malicious she looked. he turned and stepped back a few to pair up with Dodgen, who bowed, and silently He bowed as well, He looked to Dodgen with a raised brow and a smirk of his own. the old face of the immortal man have another boyish smile.
"If it's a Suujali roaming around here,i ask you don't attack it on the spot. It may be my companion Turk." he said merrily with his own soft smile he turned to the woman.
    "And I am Shado, Miss."

Emaka returned the bow, and smiled. "Well how nice to meet you, Shado. And Dodgen. My name is Emaka." she said, looking around. Her home was nearby, and she was wondering whether or not to invite the two over for some tea and muffins. She turned to the skull in her hand, which in turn, looked back at her. It nodded, and they both looked at the two men. Not yet, she thought, raising an eyebrow, "Now, I was curious to see whether or not the both of you possess magical abilities, and now, I see it is true." she moved closer to them, her ear-rings swishing against her green skin.

The younger man seemed to use more of shadow-type magic, which was similar to Emaka's own style. She liked to blend in a little violet fire and transformations here and there though. She sat the skull in her hand down, and it hopped away; sitting a few feet off to her right. The sorceress lifted both of her hands, a blackish orb forming between them. Emaka spread them again, forming a bubble of dark purple magic around herself. She clapped once, and another image could be seen. One in perfect likeness to Emaka herself. It peeled away, floating next to her.

She clapped her hands again, as did the clone. Two more copies peeled away.

    And again, and again.

Until finally, there were 10 Emakas all standing in a big circle. Each one mimicked the real Sorceress, as she picked up her skull again, and giggled. "I suppose you've seen this little trick before, yes?" they all said in perfect harmony, their ghostly voices echoing across the clearing.
"What? I only wanted to show him my cannons."
