Unless otherwise state, the Aeliyrian Empire is usually a neutral party in all world affairs, this includes conflict between allies and their enemies, unless needed Rosencrantz Alisdor prefers to keep his nation from the field of battle.
Seemingly, against the code of their otherwise imperialistic nature, they view it as self-preservation by not entering conflicts that do not provide to them a gain in either land or people. Not passive by any means, though.
