    Leá Alix

A low technological based city, presently placed in the barren lands of Muhir. Typically speaking it has been a harvesting town, gathering commerce based on crops grown and sold to neighboring cities of arguably a greater wealth.

ooc: presently this city is without a plot, and without a set ruling system (other than being under the Aeliyrian Empire) and as such the city is open to all; feel free to either play, live, or even if sought take control and go about shifting the city as seen fit. however, it should be noted that all changes and etc, must have an ic backing and not just an all of the sudden point to them.

    Re: Leá Alix

A zephyr of air swept over the ground of Lea Alix, tickling the ankles of those outside while rising crops bent in the airflow. Though it could have meant nothing more than a comfortable breeze, it foreshadowed his arrival.

At the edge of one side of town, a small whirlwind occured. While particles of dirt and rock picked up, the whirlwind unblanketed first a mixture of colors and then the complete form of a man converted from air to flesh. With his appearance, the whirlwind and all flow of air throughout the town died down.

He stood stoic, eyes making glances at one thing to the next. Regardless if people noticed his abnormal arrival or if they made some odd response, his concern was taking a good look and guessing how the town worked. Was it just a collection of homes with fields of crops that all the people tended together? Or was it a bit bigger---each home having their own small farm and duties? He would find out soon enough.

By this time, he might have been noticed if he hadn't a moment before. He carried with him no weapons or armor, but rather a small book that fit in his pocket. He was dressed in a red long-sleeved button-up over a white shirt and brown pants and shoes. His off-colored blue hair was straight and reached just past his ears and his eyes were hazel. Though the smile he wore wasn't a particular feature, it was a usual part of him that resembled a mood he hoped to keep ever-present. His name was Zaon.

Now this is a strange town...
    "Hmn."

Zaon walked into town now, nodding toward those close enough with a smile as he passed by.

    Re: Leá Alix

Zaon passed many shops of different types. He strode by a large double-story inn, a craftsman tanning leather, a tailor stiching a patch into an old shirt, an understocked tradesman running a pawn shop, and finally a blacksmith making repairs to farm tools. This caught Zaon's attention. Ignoring all else, Zaon approached the workman's station.

"Sir. Have you nothing else to work on? Swords? Armor? Shields? Anything bigger than a pitchfork?"

The smith lowered his hammer, turning toward Zaon with an odd look. "There's no need for such. We have some town guards, but there's little use for them. The only metal used here is for the agriculture. There's not enough material to go around town."

Zaon listened, nodding only once throughout the man's explaination. "I see. What does the town grow?"

"Different kinds of food. Doesn't make a lot of money, but we're never hungry." The smith said with a content smile.

Zaon's right hand moved to scratch his chin as he thought. There was so much more they could be doing to get ahead. "What is your name?"

    "Parry Smith."

Nodding, Zaon continued. "Parry, I am Zaon. And since you are the only blacksmith that I'm currently aware of working here in town, its people must know and trust you. Would you help me gain the people's trust to try and better overall living and the current status of your town?"

"I think you'd better make me a believer first."

"Agreed. This is just what's running through my head now, but looking through town I noted a few shops. The inn, that's fine, for now. And as long as the craftsman sticks to his job, he should be fine. But it appeared your tradesman was lacking in his department. This must mean visitors are rare and possibly the people here either don't have much or just don't want to part with any belongings---i'll leave it at that.

As you told me, materials are low. Which leads me to say that you can completely change what you choose to grow. May I suggest, perhaps, cotton or something similar? I'm sure your local tailors would be much happier to make new clothes rather than patching up old ones. This, of course, wouldn't mean to completely halt the growth of food---no, food is good. Except, grow just enough then a bit more for surplus.

Extra food could be stored or sold and your tailors could merchant cloth to neighbor towns at a good price. This would bring more money to your town that can be shared throughout meaning you could eventually buy the metal needed for whatever is really needed, instead of just hoes and that sort."

Parry's head slowly nodded with each point given, and slowly a small smile grew to match the one Zaon had. "That, sir, is the best idea I've heard in a long time. I'd be happy to tell the people about this idea. In fact, I'll tell them right now! You stay here and I'll go spread the word. If they say they like it, I'll tell them to all meet here in front of my shop."

Zaon's smile grew as he gave Parry the thumbs-up before Parry ran off to spread the word through town. Zaon would wait, walking casually around the man's workstation to wait by himself infront of the blacksmith shop.

    Re: Leá Alix

Whilst he waited, Zaon's hand slipped inside his pocket and fished from it a hand-sized journal and from another pocket, pulled out a small pen. Opening and flipping through its pages, Zaon stopped at an untouched page and chewed at his bottom lip while he pressed the pen against the paper and wrote:

    To Parry Smith,

Hello, Parry Smith! In short time I've convinced you how to improve your settlement here. However, I cannot stay to help you with this task---I'm sure you can still do without me, right? So lead Lea Alix to a brighter future and you will be rewarded, I promise you.

    Sincerely,
    Zaon.

Ripping the page from his book, Zaon dropped it on the front desk and stepped backward. With one last glance around, the Air Elemental smiled and vanished into thin air before a gentle breeze blew through and out of town.

    exit Zaon.

This thread / city is designed to just be a perpetually open thread, allowing people to freely plot and advance both their characters and the city (or area), so with the end of the above plot; the thread can simply revert back to the original state of play.

And yes, this is a universal message being copy and pasted.
