Child of black and white lions, why can my flame not hurt you?
Name: Bedlam
Real Name: Carmine Xyphlos
Age: 29
Height: 1.88m
Weight: 72kg.
Skills:
Horror: Fear is a powerful force, able to make even the most battle-hardened warrior pause in his tracks. It is with this knowledge that Carmine sought out the few remaining Terror Knights in the depths of the Dark Forest. Years of training were spent in their tutelage, controlling and mastering his fears while learning to bring out the darkest terrors and horrors that those around him keep hidden. His very presence instills terror in those around him, ranging from the raising of one’s neck hair in those with higher willpower to controllable nausea in those with moderate willpower while in rare, extreme cases those with none, under the effects of intoxicants, or within earshot of him for long periods of time will find it very, very hard not to commit suicide.
Disruption: Nearly everyone has ties to the arcane. Whether it be a signature that marks them with magical sight, manipulation of fire or world destroying abilities that have been studied and trained for centuries. Bedlam is one of the few that do not. While the details are unknown, even to him, his very existence is a slight to the world of magic and the arcane. Anything tied into a plane other than the physical one will simply evaporate into whence it came when coming with fifteen feet of his being (ie: fireballs will disappear, teleport spells will ‘pop’, shields and healing effects won’t work, telepathy will find no mind to invade, etc). He has yet to come across a form, type or style of magic that will work in his presence.
Memorysmith: A side-effect of the above, electrical current and impulses are also affected to a minor degree. Memorysmithing involves focusing on that particular aspect and expanding on it. Those caught within the area find themselves unable to recall what they were doing, their very name, where they are and the like. In most cases, without prolonged exposure, the memories will return within the hour. However, in some case (particularly when the need arises), Bedlam can force people to forget things entirely – as though they never happened.
Fleshsmith: Without access to the preferred (and possibly humane) magical effects that others would rely on to extract information, the Terror Knight has developed an uncanny skill at working over the human flesh. Some would call it torture, others would call it art work. He simply calls it a means to an end. Serums, Poisons and acids are all part of this skill set.
Technosmith: Since the Dead employees and often utilizes magical methods to achieve its ends, the Machine has had to find ways around problems that others would simply snap their fingers. Technology – learned, stolen, bought, traded and created – has done this for him. While not entirely leveling the playing field, in combination with his other skills, they definitely help to balance things out.
Berserker (class): A warrior whose entire life is devoted to close-combat. [Rage] allows him to block off the conscious part of his mind, relying entirely on his instincts to fight. Pain receptors are inhibited, delaying them from relaying signals to his brain until after the fact. [Berserk] increases the flow of adrenaline; effectively increasing the strength behind his blows, reducing the delay between thinking and acting to almost nothing and increasing his response time. [Weapon & Armor Proficiencies] include: short swords, long swords, great swords, daggers, kamas, kurkri blades, one-handed axes, claws, knuckles, cloth armor, leather armor, mail armor.
Equipment:
Endgame: His signature gunblade. Rarely seen anymore, it’s still in his possession and still well-kept for, ya know, just in case.
