A mercantile vessel retrofitted as a warship by pirates, who were careful not to ruin the exquisite cocobolo that composes the ship when reinforcing it for added durability.
It's most certainly among the most massive trade ships in use, but its weight belies the speed granted to it by its towering masts and the many sails that can light up any area it traverses. This is due to the materials used, a special skin derived from solarbenite and powered by it, which grant it unique properties similar to solar sails. In addition to its thrust generating sails, two horizontal masts can extend from either side of the ship and unfurl sails that provide lift, allowing the Bumbling Fool to become a respectably mobile airship, only hindered by its impressive size and armaments.
Despite its bulk, the Bumbling Fool has exceptional turning.
Weapons make the Bumbling Fool a terrifying force to behold on the battlefield. Divided between the gun deck, quarter deck, and upper deck are thirty cannons on each side of the Bumbling Fool, capable of firing conventional weaponry or drawing upon the storage of solar energy to generate powerful fire elemental assaults. Two specialty cannons on the bow and stern, meant for long range, specifically fire sunbeams, but can be overloaded at great risk to the ship to summon a fire elemental swarm. The Bumbling Fool can also eject a powder form of solarbenite, or emit a smoke screen, to hide itself.
Defensively, the Bumbling Fool is always covered in an endure elements and resist energy abjuration due to the fire elemental nature of its solarbenite cores. The chaotic nature of fire allows the vessel to erect an entropic shield.
Among the most unique of its misc. features, once again a product of its solar energy, is a holographic navigation, optical, and recording systems. Not only is it an intimidating battleship, but an excellent reconnaissance vessel.
In addition, the Bumbling Fool has access to two small light raiding craft that can be equipped with one sail; two rotating, automatic miniature cannons on either side; a small, portable solarbenite core; and a boarding crew of up to seven men. Although they take less energy for flight and are extremely quick, they can be easily destroyed.
