    pygmalion

    I. Identity
    [Epithet]: Pygmalion Scutliffe
    [Moniker]: Pyg, Pygeon, Scuttlebutt
    [Title]: None
    [Visual Age]: 23
    [Ethnicity]: Muhirian
    [Race]: Hume
    [Alignment]: Undetermined
    [Gender]: Male
    [Residence: Veera, Muhir
    [Occupation]: Toy Maker; Artist

A supremely odd individual, Pygmalion is a fairly new recruit to the Dead. Despite his newly appointed position, Pygmalion attests that few could ever serve the Dead as loyally as he does. This is largely due to the fact that, Pygmalion claims to be hopelessly in love with Faustus Clemens. He carries his devotion to Faustus so far that he regularly writes his Commander love letters...inked in his own blood.

    II. Appearance
    [height]: 6'1
    [weight]: refuses to tell
    [hair]
    • ____ Color: red
      ____ Type: straight
      ____ Texture: silky
      ____ Style: meticulously kept
      ____ Length: lower back

    [eye color]: unknown
    [timbre]: baritone, erratic
    [Clothing]
    • 3-piece suit (fitted; black w/ gray pinstripes)
      Gray shirt
Black boots (polished leather; custom sole for grip)
      Black cotton gloves
      Dark Gray
      Pocket Watch
Crimson colored spectacles (complete with tiny skull decorated lasso)

Among strangers there is a great deal of speculation, debate, and disgust regarding, Pygmalion's gender. Flamboyant and overly expressive, Pygmalion has embraced his androgyny. Although he is tall, his features are lithe and supple, making the man appear far more feminine than seems natural. Silky locks of crimson hair are kept long and meticulously treated each and every night. As though his lithe figure and expressive emotions aren’t enough, Pygmalion garbs himself in the finest of silk suits, occasionally fitting in with the dress most associated with the dead. Sharp, angular features only add to his striking appearance. Behind a pair of spectacles Pygmalion’s eyes are, without a doubt, his most useful feature. Constantly changing colors, the operative’s eyes are utilized to complete one of Pygmalion’s favored skills.

However, it is Pygmalion’s teeth that serve as his most memorable trait. Having been filed into sharpened points, this finely dressed fruit cake offers those he finds interesting enough a shark-like grin.

    III. Equipment

Pygmalion is an artist first and foremost and therefore only fights with equipment that he himself has built and/or designed. Among his favored toys of destruction is a chainsaw-sword-hybrid he calls Mansfield. It operates more like a gunblade than anything else, with each squeeze of the trigger delivering a vibration of the blades, delivering optimum cutting proficiency.

Aside from his sword, Pygmalion has created several daggers, knives and dirks that he’ll use on occasion.
Pygmalion is also renowned for the toys he has created. Of all his creations the toys he can consistently be seen with are his rag dolls. Possessing the ability to walk or run as he’s instructed them the dolls are in fact bombs.

He maintains a small laboratory/playhouse at The Dead's headquarters complex in Veera, Muhir where he attempts to create more useful toys.

    IV. Skills

Technopath: Pygmalion has the inherent ability to look at a piece of machinery and immediately know how it works. He is capable of communicating and controlling machinery like a puppeteer would manipulate a puppet.

    Chemist:

Armor break [skill]: In its latent form, it allows the lieutenant to dent armor or punch through it completely, or in the case of adamantine or otherwise strengthened armor it allows the lieutenant to make the force travel beyond the physical barrier. The lieutenant may opt to focus his skill so as to ignore the magic (if the armor is magically infused or enchanted) but ineffective is the armor is made out of magic.

Gold: According to the current control over resources, every lieutenant is allowed a bare minimum of no less than 500 gold for uses about the town at will. Members can choose to refill this bag at any time they please.

Catapsi: This power generates psychic static and interferes with the ability of psionic targets and enemies within a 20 foot radius field around the lieutenant; the range was decided on by Faustus so as to comfortably include the lieutenant and soldiers with him. Telepathy and telekinesis are the most strongly affected. Elemental and non-elemental psionics are next, followed by planar psionics.

Skate: The lieutenant can use this ability to slide along solid and uneven ground as if on smooth ice, and can extend this frictionless environment to another creature or an unattended object. Lieutenants retain equilibrium by mental desire alone, allowing them to gracefully skate along the ground, up walls, turn, or stop as suddenly as desired.

Uniform: All black when on covert operations, or clothing of their choosing as lieutenants are involved more with local politics than other members and must be allowed a degree of freedom over what they were. This rank was decided as the tier of political relations due, specifically, to the level of involvement befitting the rank. Enough time spent in the Dead to be of aid and enough freedom from operations that they can continue to shuffle pieces around in the political atmosphere.

Attraction: Lieutenants can plant a completing attraction in weak-minded subjects. This attraction can be towards a particular person, object, purpose, or location. The subject will take reasonable steps to meet or get close to the subject of the implanted attraction. Reasonable being that the attraction will not be obsessive. Lieutenants are expected to use this ability to parley favor in political power exchanges. Or whatever.
