Etymology: The etymology behind naming of the Resistance is fairly straightforward. They stand in opposition to, they resist, the current ruling government of Rosinder as a nation, namely the rule of Renovatio.

Historical:
Background: The Resistance formed as a response to Renovatio forcing a military occupation onto Rosinder. Approximately one year ago, Renovatio brought its war-dogs to Rosinder's borders and fought, as it is so described by the creator of the Resistance, "as cowards are wont to". Renovatio's advanced technology and machinery is seen as an affront to God, and so the Resistance's hatred of Renovatio is two-fold.
Recent Events: Much destruction, chaos, and ruin has been levied against Renovatio's Rosinder-based military depots.
