Tell ya what, couldn't have asked for a better day. Ain't too often where the whole of Valucre ain't on the brink a war. Course I'll take days like this when I can get em.
Oh I know, I know, it ain't a paradise but beleive me it could be a lot worse. I heard stories, ya see. Passed down by my pop's pop and so forth and so on. Heard this world was always aflutter with turmoil and strife. An age of endless war...our little world was torn the fuck apart by war...til He showed up.
Heard tell he was a priest. Lots a folks who know bout him think he's the one who uncovered the means for man to use magic, but that's horse shit. He had his own lil brand of magic and boy o boy he knew how to use it. Thing is, this fella wanted to leaf the world toward peace and for the most part he failed. Still his ideals stuck with some folks and Valucre's been all the better for it. Lots a folks claim he was their messiah and that the Haze fella in Terrenus is him re-incarnated. Not sure, I buy into that. Haze's got the power and the gumption, but he ain't got the eyes. Not saying Haze's powerable is something to thumb your nose at, but it's different. This fella he had unique eyes, ain't never been a pair like em in Valucre. Cept...this is just a rumor mind ya, I heard tell there's a fella...got eyes just like the Priest's.
Dunno if it's true or what it means, but take my advice friend, enjoy days like this one while you can. I got a feeling they're gonna become a lot more scarce here, pretty soon.
