Not to say they aren’t capable, as they are well versed in that in which they study.

Historical:
Background: It isn’t very well known as to how or when the group started, even those who have been with the Club since its origin are apparently not as well versed in their own background as they would like to be, however, a rumor has been established and serves as the guideline when they are asked.
A man, likely named but a name was never given, was unfortunately blessed with a sight that allowed him to see the very essence of magic in the air. It was seen in the form of ribbons or strands, a few of these strands stood out, always moving and bending and seeming to change direction with his gaze. It was unlike their nature, as each was connected to a distinctive presence, moving only when the direction of the entity itself had altered their course drastically, these ones were far more frantic. Curiously he would press on.
It was out of pure dismay did his eyes lay upon a group of men, horned and with the legs of cattle, attacking a family in their home. It wasn’t like him to interfere with forces far outside his knowledge and furthermore, forces that could clearly best him should they get close enough. And so he took the life of a scribe, a pen and parchment held as for days he watched this group as they moved from house to house and claimed the lives of family after family. Once a few pages had been added to a single composition, he would return to his own home and begin to study and break down the group to find that they had a clear weakness. Seeking out the aid of his closest friends, Club Hecate was formed.
It was the horned demons that were bested, and their information added to the growing works of the man and his club, a mission statement present even now.
